Chapter 32

"I don't care if you have to turn the city upside down or burn it all down to ash, find that damn Jade!" Logan shouted at the top of his lungs as he threw a lamp against the wall. Shattering the pieces the lamp scattered all over the floor.

Logan had sent his men out all night to search the city from top to bottom in order to find Jade. After hours of searching neither hair nor sound could be found to point in the direction to go. Even after searching the building Jade lived in he had found that even Noel had vanished in thin air along with him. From what Silvester had informed him his own men had been in sided from Capricorn by the higher ups.

When the men that worked under Logan had heard about the situation all of them had shuddered in fear as Logan tortured one underlings after another for information on Capricorn and Jade. Some of the men that were tortured were sent clear to the brink of death before Logan had ceased his torture. A few men were so desperate for their lives that they were even killed for trying to stop Logan from harming them. It was like someone had enraged the king of hell himself.

As Silvester walked into the room where Logan was he could see the red flush of fury and rage painted on his face. The air in the room was ice cold as if hell had frozen over. Blood stained coated random spots around the room where Logan had tortured and killed different men under him all morning one after the other. It was clear by the thick scent of iron that the number of victims to Logan's fit of rage was not a small number.

"If you keep killing your own hunters for the city pretty soon you wont have any more left." Silvester's face slowly curved up into a faint smile at how pitiful Logan was beginning to look over losing a single hunter. He did not blame him for his curiosity into the man because it was a vastly interesting man he was after but it still sickened Silvester to see Logan look weak.

"Dead... Dead.. When I find them they're both dead!" Logan's face darkened and distorted up into a sickening smile.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Silvester asked with a slight pleasantry to his voice as if he was delighted to go hunting for Jade.

"Dead or alive! I don't care which but haul that body of his to my feet!" Logan turned and ordered Silvester.

"I found their trail. From what I can tell it looks like they fled the city. Shall we go?" Silvester's smile broadened more as he asked for the permission.

"Yes. Let's go!" Logan ordered as he turned towards the balcony of his office and flung the doors to it wide open.

A gust of black smoke enveloped around Logan as a pair of black horns appeared on his head that curved backwards. On his back in the smoke appeared a pair of black and sandy colored wings appeared that resembled that of a bat's. His enraged gaze stared out at the city as his entire being desired to put Jade and that bartender he was obsessed with six feet under the ground. In his mind six feet might not even be enough. If he could he would personally drag Jade by his ankle down to hell itself.

"Are you sure you're okay to go in this mental state?" Silvester asked as he walked up to Logan with his angelic pair of white wings spread out behind him ready to take flight. He could feel the cold chill from Logan's face as he turned to glare at him as if he would put him down if he spoke any further.

"Do not tell me what my mental state is and just lead the damn way. Now!" Logan ordered him with a burning fury in his heart. At the moment he did not care who it was that got in his way. If he had to he felt like he would trample the entire city below his feet if it meant Jade cowering below him.

And people think I'm a tyrant.. Hah. Silvester chuckled lightly to himself as his glassy blue eyes twinkled with a hint of excitement. He loved his job but he could not help but still hold a hatred for this man and his tyrant ways. If it was not for the excitement he got working under him there was no real way Logan would be able to control him either but the man truly did give him thrilling things to bear witness to which he felt was good enough to simply go along for the ride.

Spreading out their wings the both of them took to the sky. Silvester flew in front so that he could lead the way out of the city that he had figured Jade and the others went. It was not that he had to search for clues because he had been witness to their escape path last night. He simply did not want to admit to the direction they went until Logan was willing to grant the order for him to hunt them down personally. The information he held on Jade after a night of following Capricorn he had held to himself until he was certain he would get his own way when he offered the information over. Silvester had taken advantage of Logan's enraged mind.

As he lead Logan towards Jade and the others he could hear the man muttering to himself under his breath behind him as they flew. Silvester did not care what title Jade had or didn't have as long as the hunt was worth the chase for him. If it meant excitement he would throw away everything for the experience even if it meant throwing others under the bus with him. With the speed the two of them could fly it would not take long for them to reach the edge of the city. The closer they got the faster his heart pounded in his chest thirsty for the thrill of clashing with Jade again.
