7 After 1 year

Noah was teary-eyed after listening and hugged Jack tightly spilling some tears on Jack's clothes.

Jack did not expect Noah to follow his idea. Jack smiled and hugged the poor kid.

"Then you can call me brother from now on Noah"

"umm," Noah nodded his head.

Truth be told, Noah was really in need of a companion to lean on. Jack was simply the perfect candidate for being the person whom he knew and was also the first one to offer help.

Early morning in the orphanage and all the kids were eating in the dining area. Jack and Noah went to get their rice and vegetable soup from Suzaku who oversaw the cooking. They went to seat into an empty table near the window overviewing the hillside.

Some of the kids were quite surprised that the bookworm successor Jack was eating breakfast with the new kid who looks like a prince from a fairytale. The girls were even gossiping while looking at them. Jack was thinking that why are girls no matter which world they are in think the same?

Jack looked at these kids because he felt uncomfortable with their gaze and noticed that Noah was not bothered at all.

Jack pointed his hands at the kids who are staring "You guys should start eating right? Bucky your food is already being eaten by Juwo. we are relatives so don't be so surprised"

The kids stopped looking and started murmuring to themselves…. Jack frowned and was like "Oh! come on! Can't you guys even see the similarities in our looks especially the eyes? Aren't we both good looking?"

The kids started laughing at Jacks statement that compares a silver to diamond in looks. Saying like "the only commonality between the two of you are the color of the eyes" "Noah's eye shape is better"

Jack frowns at them and eventually sat down cause it's too much to explain. He looked at Noah who was looking at him. "Are you not bothered at all?"

"I despise their laughter, I will never like them"

Jack felt complicated by the statement but after recalling Noah's experience he eventually understands.

Jack does not know but Noah was laughed at by people while being tortured and heard tons of awful things.

The days went by and Jack noticed how Noah has never talked to anyone except him. The kids were totally into him because of his looks but eventually, their curiosity died down due to his coldness.

Some days the girls go to him confessing that they liked him and that they want to get to know him more. This was something that Jack did not expect because he knows he looks good but is there really that of a great difference between them. The feelings of a bitter single no matter which world they go. But these confessions did not even move Noah and rejected kindly.

Jack really felt bad for these girls for they have confessed to a prince charming that has a golems heart. Jack even persuaded Noah if he could try to be friends with other kids but the answer he received was a loud bang from a closing door and a loud "NEVER"

A month has passed, and Noah's health was getting better. This made Jack start his planned training routine for Noah to strengthen his stats before turning 10.

The second month, Noah is almost in top notch condition which made Jack start the next program which was a battle experience. Not something you call a battle, but at least something to get used to in sparring.

Out in a clearing where most of the kid's train to become future warriors or mage Noah was looking at Jack with bright eyes.

"Today you will start your next program..."

Noah was all ears and was smiling when he heard that he will start his new program this soon. Of course, he is only thinking the later he becomes strong the faster he gets revenge for his family. Well, what can we do about it? If you yourself experience Noah's horror you might have already committed seppuku long before totally giving up on life. But Noah's different, he longs for revenge. That even if he defies every single moral standard he will survive for revenge.

Jack looked at Noah who is smirking dropped the bombshell "Your training will be to fight me today until you landed a punch"

Noah was taken aback by what he heard "Big brother I do not want to fight you"

Ever since that night Noah already calls Jack Big brother which made Jack quite happy. Jack has never had any siblings or cousins on earth which was the reason for him to be pleased to have someone calling him Big brother. Of course, it also made him awkward at first. The feeling that he was stared at the other kids when even he was called Big brother.

"I do not want to see you complain today, the fist does not know any kind of complains that will deflect its might"

Noah was really unwilling and thought that Jack will go easy on him, so he didn't realize that Jack was serious and was already running towards him. Jack, who ran towards him, seemed to already know what to do.

He came up to Noah and suddenly threw a fake punch which Noah tried to guard but what came from his side was a kick from jack's right leg with a strength befitting a grown adult from earth, turning to his side he felt like throwing up.

Noah was in pain. He has already endured more than this before, so he only groaned at the pain from his side. Jack did not slow down his movements following his first strike Jack easily got near Noah and an uppercut was thrown by Jack's left fist.

Noah was able to see it coming tilted his head to the side, but Jack's movements were fast and focused his strength to throw a swing instead that still hit Noah's shoulder. Making Noah fall down the ground.

Jack was very serious when it comes to training that even as Noah fell he still followed at him with a pounce, pinning him down, and was ready to give the finishing blow at the last moment but stopped at last second.

Jack retrieved his fist which is pointing at Noah's face. Noah only looked at him like he was ready to take that hit. The awkwardness grew from the position…

Jack was quite baffled staring at Noah's reaction. There is not even a single worry painted in his eyes. From start to finish Noah has shown great reflexes to read the movements of Jack but the thing that made Jack frown was that he really does not plan to retaliate even with the painful beating that Jack has given him. Jack felt wronged for this. Noah was really a special case and from today he will consider the other guy's peculiarity.

A year passed which was all used by Jack helping Noah from studying and training his body…

Noah was now looking like godly being that descended from heaven showing lean muscle that is starting to form. His neat haircut shows his face completely revealing the face that will make most men turn green of envy.

Jack also got a little more buff and has completed his goal stats.
