Jack and Noah did not stay too long in this crowded place and left the town after replenishing goods.

Few hours later Jack and Noah found themselves in the middle of the forest again.

The weather was getting cloudy, Jack knows there is a storm brewing in. Cold winds are blowing from the east. Jack looking at the clouds forming above was unhappy. The thing he hates the most was the storm in this new world. First, weather pattern's here was quite unpredictable, and second, the storm's usually last in a few days to a week. This type of weather pattern was not something he was familiar with because he stayed in California for almost his entire life.

Jack immediately decided to go find a cave for cover as fast as they could.

Noah following was also experienced in this type of situation due to him living in the Philippines on earth.

Along with his experience traveling from the west, he is quite good at survival "know how's" in the jungle.

A few moments later they finally found a cave. This is an abandoned cave mine. This time Noah volunteered to survey the mine due to his speed.

Noah who was surveying often saw some blind molerat beast, but these things only tend to get aggressive when disturbed.

The mine stretching a few kilometers underground was very deep. This made Noah return to Jack after surveying a few holes.

Going back to Jack he noticed Jack looking at a man in his 40's a few meters away in front of the cave.

The man was wearing a black hooded coat only showing his face.

Jack immediately decided to lie smiling with a poker face he said; "I am Miller, and this is my brother Sungwon, do you mind if you could at least introduce yourself to us. Traveling alone in this forest I am sure you are strong."

"This cave is quite large, so we do not mind sharing the place with anyone"

The man in his 40's turned his gaze at Noah and smiled at him.

This has made Noah felt a chill running down his spine.

"I am Gustro, I am here for that boy"

Gustro pointed at Noah.

"Brother Miller, I know that you two are not really brother's because that's very unlikely"

Jack and Noah were already frowning at this moment.

"I saw you both at the town. To think that the bastard of the kingdom would be found by me."

Noah clearly went pale when he heard the man's words.

"Hhh, how did you know?"

"Because I am one of the bloodline keepers"

Jack did not understand the words of Gustro about Noah being affiliated with a kingdom. But Jack only put it aside because he does not really know how the elves tackle their different race.

The elven war was between the larger elven race only. The dark elves and the light elves.

Bloodline keepers are people in charge of the bloodline of the family just like Muto who has a special familiar that can detect the bloodline of the family.

Gustro threw off his dark cloak and revealed an elf clothed in a black tunic and long tight-fitting tan pants. His face was smiling with delight. He slowly drew a thin black wood out from his storage ring.

This action made Noah and Jack exclaim only one word "Mage"

the wooden wand made a hissing whisper as it moves through the air. A mage, to be more precise a wind adept mage.

Jack thinking about their impending doom has a bitter look on his face.

He was already thinking of a way to somehow escape the cave.

'Why does this elf even went to this place to look for Noah?'

'AHhh, This is not going to be my end right?'

'Noah, what kind of background do you really have?..'

.... Jack was now losing himself in deep thought again due to this death's door in front of him.

Jack knows that this mine is just as dangerous as this guy. Quickly he made a decision to attack.

Jack immediately called Noah "Noah DO OR DIE KILL HIM!"

Gustro overconfident as level 20 mage still looked calm.

Jack looking at Gustro with angry face directly rushed at him. Noah also brandished his knives and rushed to attack.

Jack immediately drew his knives and sprinkled some powders at the knives directly throwing it at Gustro.

'First, I have to know just how powerful are you' Jack thought.

Gustro looking at the knives flying towards him waved his hands. "wall of winds"

Gustro does not really care about the two trying to escape because he can locate them again with his special spell called scent of the winds. This is also the passive spell that he used to find them.

A strong wind rotating around him like a tornado was cast. The knives entering the wind was directly repelled.

Jack seeing this scene clicked his tongue but his movements did not falter and drew even closer to Gustro.

One of his plans was to escape through the cave entrance but seeing the swirling wind covering the entrance, it's no longer possible. They really have to attack head-on.

Noah was also rushing towards Gustro but Jack who was closer pounced first with both knives at his hands directly attacking head-on.

Gustro looking at the scene was even yawning.

Jack as he encountered the winds directly felt the force and was thrown away to the sides.

Noah who was about to attack seeing his brother being thrown back immediately rushed to catch him.

Gustro was all smile at the two being thrown to the ground.

"What a lovely pair of prey, I think I should finish this up quickly"

Gustro who was adept at battle's immediately cast another spell. Unlike other mages, he is trained to be a killer. He is a close combat mage.

"Path of the winds" directly pouncing at Jack with incredible speed.

"Wind pierce" from the tip of his wand came a piercing sound directly destroying half of Jack's body.

The force of the wind scattered Jack's left part of the body everywhere making the place bloody.

Noah who was just near the scene cannot bear to look at what happened.

Looking down quietly tears streamed down his eyes.

Jack bloodied body slumped 10 meters away.

Gustro who was looking at bloody scene clicked his tongue and turned his gaze at Noah.

Noah covered in blood slowly looked up to look at Gustro with bloodshot eyes.

The storm has already started outside the cave and the loud roar of thunder along with its flashing lights illuminated the bloody scene.

"FEAR!" Noah's blue eyes turned purple and a ring-like hollow came out from it directly entering Gustro's eyes.

Gustro under the spell was now looking at the whole place turned into a place full of corpses. Looking at Noah, he can see a monster with shining red eyes looking at him making him quiver in fear.

Noah gritting his teeth looked at Gustro who is affected by the spell, and immediately brandished his knife and struck at his throat. The knife directly cut Gustro's throat like butter spewing blood all over.

Gustro did not even feel the knife because he is trapped in the illusion.

Noah did not stop his frenzied state and stabbed Gustro all over his chest. A few moments later gustro's eyes went dim.

But Noah in his craze state still did not stop stabbing the cold corpse.

At a normal state, Noah can't affect Gustro with his ability. He will not even be able to stab Gustro especially with the added bonus of defense once affected with the skill. But all of these happened thanks to his new ability which is not shown.

Jack looking at the scene was shouting at Noah to stop already. Jack losing his one arm and one leg still tried his best to crawl to the scene.

In normal cases, Jack who was thrown with half of his body missing should have died immediately. The damage of the Tier 2 spell wind pierce itself was about 40. With an HP of 10, Jack was still alive.

Then a notification rang from his ear's.
