Chapter 7

"is that all you came up here for to ask about my life story?" I asked. "no actually Stephon our doctor apprentice wants to see you" he said "who?" I asked "he's someone in the lab I guess he wants to run test on your brain to see how damaged it is or something, I'm not exactly sure" he said.

"alright.. I guess..." I said "I'll.... I'll just go down there then." I continued then walked away.

I then went down the stairs and down the long corridor Which seemed to lead everywhere and no where at once. after a minute I go to the lab.

"um hey I'm..." i said walking through the door way. "Arianna right I've been waiting for you, anyway it's whatever, so here's the plan I'm gonna get an x-ray of your brain Maria's brain and my brain, and compare, see where the damage in your brain is the compare it to past x-rays I have of people who were controlled, then hopefully find a way to create a device to keep him from controlling you all together" he explained.

"ok.... and you are?" I said "Ah yes sorry... I'm Stephon Crawford, Dr. Williams apprentice, and a tech genius, I'm also not an Unnatural Incase you were wondering" he explained. " okay so let me get this straight you want to examine my brain see how damage it is so you can use that as some sort of research tool to create some weird device that will possibly keep my uncle from controlling people" I said " yeah that about sums it up" he said.

"I'm not the only person who's been controlled by my uncle here, why can't you use one of them?" I asked. "I have" he started "but I want to see if you being controlled longer than them makes a difference, I want to see if your brain gives me more information then theirs" he continued "you want to see how damaged I am" I said "I want to see if your brain has information that's it" he said "it's the same thing" I retorted. then silence filled the room for a moment.

I rolled my eyes "what do I need to do" I said. "just lay down on the table and don't move a muscle until I say" he said suddenly even more chipper then before.

I decided to close my eyes, if I was lost in thought I would move less. that's what I thought at least "Stop thinking" Stephon suddenly said causing me to open my eyes. "why?" I asked "your cerebrum is practically glowing with activity" he said. "you told me not to move so I focused on thought and now your telling me not to think?" I said confused "yes just lay there and, I don't know think of nothing" he replied.

so I did, I thought of the closet thing to nothing I could think of... complete and utter darkness. "ok you can get up now" Stephon finally said after a few minutes. I then quickly sat up "come here, I wanna show you something" he said as I stood up. I walked over to him.

"this brain scan belongs to your dad" he said pointing at the picture on his computer, "see how it's black and white" he said "yeah" I answered. "well this one belongs to Maria an Unnatural who was never controlled when this was taken" he continued switching to a different picture, this one had 2 different colors, red and blue, covering several different small spots on the picture. "and this one is yours" he said switching to a different picture one last time.

"Holy shit" I said leaning in closer "it's lit up like a street on Christmas" I continued the picture of my brain was completely covered in a bunch different colors, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, so many it was almost impossible to tell how many there really were.

"what do all those colors mean?" I asked "well I know that the red and blue are what every Unnatural have on there scans like Maria's, and I also know that on the brain scans of Unnatural's that were controlled by your uncle they had red, blue, orange and yellow but I have no clue what any of the other colors mean or why it's covering the entirety of your brain" he replied. "anyway you go, I'll call you if I need you" he said shuing me away. "yes sir" I said mockingly while standing up straight.

I then rolled my eyes and walked away. I walked out of the lab and down the hall a little before Maria popped out of no where in front of me "there you are!" she said jumping in front of me "god Maria you scared the carp out of me" I said "wait were you coming from the infirmary, are you ok did your stitches tare?" she said beginning to examine me. "no I'm fine I was just leaving the lab, Stephon wanted to do some sort of weird X-ray on my brain" I replied pushing her away lightly.

"thank god" she said "well anyway if your up for it I want you to come on a small mission with me, you won't have to do much just observe" she said "I don't know Maria" I said shaking my head lightly "I swear it'll be super easy" she said "fine" I said giving in easily "Great let's go" she said quickly grabbing my arm and pulling me along with her. "Wait right now?" I questioned just letting her pull me.

"yep you got to meet the team Don't worry everything's already packed up for you" she said, after a minute we entered some sort of conference room there stood 4 different individuals. "Arianna, this first one right here is Amanda she's a little quiet but you love her her ability is the shape shift" Maria said introducing a short girl who couldn't be older than 15. "hello" she said softly "Hi" I replied awkwardly.

"this time sir here standing next to our lovely Amanda is Tyler He's like Superman but he only has super strength" Maria continued sarcastically "that's a weird way to put it" Tyler said "nice to meet you" I said with an awkward smile "same boss's Daughter" he replied awkward. "moving on" Maria said pushing me lightly in front of the next 2 people. "these two are Gail and Gavin, they have some sort of weird twin abilities that they don't really like to discuss" Maria said something confused "nice to meet you" they said at the exact same time. "same" I replied slightly creeped out.

"now that everybody's finally introduced we can get going" Maria said clapping her hands once.
