Cozy Hut

My leg, left leg, was bleeding. Good thing I put these herbs on my leg or it would have caught infection in the worst case that could have happened.

I woke up on water drops falling off on me from on top of the tree behind me.

It was a mocking jay, that is a bird that mocks whatever it hears, kind of like a parrot. But a little bit different, it does it in groups. If I whistle, they will mock the whistle over miles as long as there is a mocking jay to transfer the whistle around.

I have no idea where I am. I know for a fact that I might be lost in these forests for months if I don’t find a sign of human life around here.

I was leaning on my back, it was the only position the does not cause pain all over my wet wounded body over the moist bush I was sleeping on.

I slowly opened my eyes.

The vision was blurry, I took my breath slowly, I breathed twice before wiggling my fingers and closing my hands and then opening them again.

There was a squirrel on top of the tree, it was his home.

I really wish I was home right now.

Speaking of home, did I tell you about my home? I don not think I did.

Shame on me.

After I moved to town, my aunt moved in to live with me for sometime before leaving again to the next town to live with her husband.

Every night at supper she used to make us her favourite family recipe, boiled vegetables with white rice and vegan sauce.

I would be so happy if by a chance I could have it right now.

The squirrel above me was eating a nut he picked up from the tree. It was a hazel tree.

It was over two feet in diameter. It was an old tree. Very old indeed.

I tried moving my legs, right leg aches but it was movable, I could move it a little bit.

My left hand on the other side of my body gave me no chance of movement at all.

I felt a terrible pain in it. I wonder if it is still bleeding, that would not help me at that very moment.

I leaned my head right, I could see the water stream going on.

I tried leaning on my right side. And slowly lifting myself up and leaning my back on the tree.

I took a deep breath and held it for a couple seconds, then got it out.

I was so hungry at that moment.

It is not that easy to be hungry, all the food around you, yet you are unable to get hold of it.

Before I go look for a sign of life around me I must catch some fish to eat, but before I can do that I need shelter.

Even a little hut can do for now.

I am no physically weak guy so I took a deep breath, leaned forward, tried to lift myself up on one leg.

I was about to fall back down again but quickly held the tree and got myself back together again.

That tree was a bit old though, its branches were dwindling to the ground, I took grab of a branch I thought was strong then I cracked it down and threw it on my bush bed.

I balanced myself before falling again and held grab of another branch.

And cracked it as well and threw it on the ground.

And I repeated the same process for three more branches.

I really hope this does not piss mother nature off on me. If she is not happy with what I am doing right now she can just throw a bear at me and that is the end of everything, but I think she will show me mercy. Yeah she will.

If I wanted bu any chance to build a hut I can rely on the I will need ropes.

Do not look at me as if I have s rope tied around my leg, wait………. I do

I took off my shirt, I usually wear two shirts so I was not fully naked at that time and I slowly sat on the branches I just cracked.

If I was going to make ropes out of that shirt then I will need something to cut it with.

Again I do not have a knife on me, my gear and my sword were back at camp so, there was some rocks around me, one was a bit flat.

I held it and held another one and slowly hit its edges while supporting it with my right leg.

After a couple of hits around the edges, it was finally sharp enough to cut through the cloth of the shirt easily.

Also who knows?! it may come in handy in the future.

I slowly cut my shirt into small pieces of rope.

I used my knife rock to dig some holes or I might say small pits around, then I held the branches carefully and put them inside of the pits.

Then I used the ropes to tighten the rest up on top of them. It wasn’t solid enough so I knew I had to put some mud on top of it.

I slowly crawled on my knees to the shore of the river, used my knife rock to dig a small tunnel to my little hut home.

The water came from the river and stopped at the end of it, it was enough to make some mud.

I grabbed mud by hand then I put it on top of the hut, it was leaking water and mud but it did not matter because I will change the bed leaves anyways.

I really hope I do not get to spend a lot off time in that hut.

Th whole place was surrounded with bushes so it was not very difficult to change the bed.

I grabbed some bushes from around the ed and put them on top of the bed. Making it a whole new bed.

It was cozy and warm.

But still, I need to find something to eat.
