LUCIA'S POV

I'm in the middle of hesitation. I can't believe I reach the last part of the pageant. After showing our own kind talents this would be the last part of all.

The question and answer.

I'm in my seat, closed eyes while thinking. I closed my eyes as I was engrossed in my thoughts.

In the middle of thinking, the feeling of a hand on my head made me open my eyes.

"What?" I ask him irritated. He smiled playfully and made my heart pump so fast.

What the hell!?

"Your makeup is ruined, I just wiped it," Elton answered. I get up and look at my face in the mirror.

He's right my makeup is ruined. I should have noticed this before.

"Why are you here again?" I paused.

"Just g--." cut him off.

"Are you intentionally here or do you just want to play this shit?" Calm, but full of irritations.

"I am not here to play with you, for fuck sake Lucia. I'm here to cheer you and congratulate you," he answered then paused.

"I'll go ahead, I'll be watching you till the pageant end." Elton continued then she point my head again before leaving me.

I buried my smile as I listened to words he/she has told me. I noticed a statue that has been looking this way in my peripherals.

I felt the eyes that were looking towards me and saw the anger and urge to fight in the eyes of Leo. He evaded his gaze and left after.

What is he doing in here?

Jealousy Leo? Fuck off!

My mind shouted before facing the mirror.

Lea and Nina went close to me and helped me fix my makeup. Their eyes showed a playful look.

"Don't give me that kind of look," I warned them.

Instead of keeping those smiles, they laughed loudly like every who is tiny can hear them.

"Jesus, just stop that lunatic reaction."

They buried their laughter and continue my retouch. The host asks if we're all done so we can now proceed to the next level.

I was standing at the stage facing the crowd while posing like a model. The host called my number, signing that I'm the next one to answer.

As I walk through in front and went beside the host, my eyes didn't let the girl's eyes pass mine.

The feeling of knowing that Leo's mother is here and for god! sake. His mother is one of the judges.

I calm myself and told myself not to think about it. Everyone was shouting when they heard my name, and as I walk in front.

"Good evening candidate number 3," the host greeted.

"Good evening also." I greeted back.

If before, the crowd is noisy. Well, now they're all quiet. Only the pumped of their hearts y'all can hear.

The host gives me a bowl of questions and lets me pick one. Little did I know that is a pick for a judge.

And shit!

I got the name of Leo's mother! 0_0

In my mind, I curse myself why I agreed to them. Why did I let them force me to join this pageant?

Idiot.

The woman in her forties didn't look old. She had her own unique style of fashion.

Hmmm. They're rich, how can't she wear expensive ones.

The judges clap their hands before Leo's mother reads the question she'll ask.

"It's nice to meet you candidate number 3." said with a smile.

I smiled back at her, as a sign of respect.

"Here is the question." She pauses.

"If you were given a chance to go back in time, where and what will you do?"

"Hmm, thank you for that question, ma'am. For me, I would choose to go in my past. Why? some things in there are all mistakes, I wanted it to be correct and changed. There's a man and people I should have not trusted. I should have let myself grow on my own without having a man and a lot of friends around me." I explained while seriously looking at Leo's eyes.

Maybe all of them, they don't know everything and they don't know where am I looking. They were all busy listening to my answers and words.

As I finished, Leo's mom was about to talk. Suddenly, Leo forcefully took the microphone to his mom's hand.

Leo's mom looks at him confused and shocked. He didn't bother to listen to his mom's words.

"You'll change everything from your past? Why, is it a mistake for you?" He raised his brows.

I raised mine too! Of course, I won't let him do that to me.

"Yes Mr. It was all a mistake, and if I were given another chance again to love. Then I should be choosing the man who can love me without cheating, " Directly answered him with insult.

I know they're all looking at us, but this time I should not let Leo ruin this night. He can't just intrude on this pageant, not because his mother was one of the judges and sponsors.

You won't succeed... I'll pin that, you won't.

The host was about to meddle in our conversation but Leo cut it off. Maybe he realizes it was a mistake to ask me about it.

"I'm sorry, sorry for asking it everyone." the students were all quiet and confuse about what Leo did.

"Ah- an- and that's! all for the night. Thank you candidate number 3!" the host automatically covered her confusion.

Tears were falling into my cheeks and starting to ruin my makeup. I run into the comfort room and cried it all.

All them really don't know what our past is. Well, I don't have plans to story it, this might lead them to know that I had a daughter.

Not that I don't like them to knew that I have a daughter. It's just that, I'm afraid Leo might meddle in everything.

And I don't want that to happen. So while it's still early, I'll remove Leo from our lives.

Maybe one day this person who saw this will understand it soon.

"Jesus... Please let me live in peace!"I shouted without a voice. I facepalm and removed my makeup while still subbing.

Furthermore, I can't believe he asked me that question. Is he still affected by what happened back then? Or he's still playing with my feelings.

I went out and called Nina to fix my make-up before the finals. She knew what happened in the Q and A but she refuses to talk nor ask.

Nina is quite beautiful that is why I'm so confused why didn't she join the pageant.

When she's done retouching my makeup she leaves me so I can focus on my thoughts. Overthinking is normal, you always do it when you're depressed.

My mind is still preoccupied and I can't clearly understand what the host is saying. The only thing I understand is that they said I won.

Tho, I don't want the name, they still choose to give it to me. Regardless of my answer and Leo's scene, I still have it.

Everyone was screaming my name and run to the stage to have a little and few pictures with me. I didn't decline or refuse to had a quick picture with them.

"Congratulations, Lucia." Elton greeted and she gives a silver crown that was full of flowers.

"What for?" I chuckled while he was putting it on my head.

He just smiled and pointed my forehead again. I raised my brows but he just laughs.

"You always have that habit," I mumbled while looking at my cellphones mirror.

The crown fits my head and it's too beautiful. Why is he doing this and, why is he acting like this?

All his actions for me it's all known, I only met him in the library. Now, he's acting like we're close friends, but it's okay.

He informed me that he'll just talk to his friends and he'll be back. So I went to other candidates to talk and had small chats.

"Lucy! You did it well!" candidate number 4 said. I smiled and had a respectful kiss on each cheek.

"It was nothing, I also don't know why I win,"

"You win because of your furious answers. You're the only one who did that!" candidate number 2 screams while acting amazed and shocked.

I just laughed at them the whole conversation. We talked about some more topics abound the preparation of the pageant until it's done.

I was having chit-chats with my friends earlier. When someone grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the storage room.

As we were walking, I can't stop thinking about what would they say about Leo's actions.

The skin between my eyebrows wrinkled, as I uttered a curse. I bumped my back in the door causing me to break down on the floor.

"Shit!!"

Then I stop, I raised my head up. To see Leo who's standing in front of me.

shit! again!

He held my shoulder to help me stand up. I pushed him and uttered another curse to him.

"Fuck you! don't come near me, you moron!" those words were painful but he deserves it.

He looked at me with his both painful eyes while asking for forgiveness. My mind is preoccupied right now.

I can't think normally!

I can't even look at him in direct eyes...

"Lucia, I'm begging.." he kneeled in front of me.

Here it comes again. The memories of him, begging for my forgiveness.

"You don't deserve it!.." I pause.

"Even a little and tiny love Leo, I won't give you." I weakly uttered while forcing myself not to break down.

"Lucy, you don't get it right! those accusations they threw to me! it was all wrong!" he shouted and tried to come closer to me.

I raised my hand, a sign that he can't come closer.

"What the fuck! Lucia!" Leo paused.

He began to seethe with anger. He slammed his hands on the table and slid his arms across the table, sending the items on it flying.

"You don't get it!"

"In what part of it! I did not get it!" I shouted back to him.

"Everything, Lucia." he pauses again and tried to make his words clear.

"You understand it wrong. If only you knew what's behind that decision." Leo uttered in front of me and saw his watering eyes.

"Decision??" I laugh.

"So your decision had a deep meaning? such a pathetic decision Leo." I continued.

"Lucia that's not what I mean wh-?"

"Then leave! you're not obliged to explain everything! if I cant understand! the decision, then the last thing I can do is removed you forever." Cut him off and shouted him every curse.

"Lucy that's not...Lucy please." He begged while still catching my hands.

"Leo! would you stop this idiot idea of you!" I paused to take a facepalm, due to stress.

"If you can't understand what I want too, then stop." His painful eyes were looking at my eyes begging for mercy.

"I'm sorry, please I'm so sorry."

he said in a calm voice and still reaching for my hands.

Yet, I move away so he can't hold me again.

And was about to leave the room when I heard him gasp. I turned my head to him and see his eyes watering.

Still kneeling in front of me.

"Stop this idiot idea, Leo, this won't work,"

"Lucy, please listen. Please," he begged.

"Leo is it really hard for you to understand that we're done! For God's sake, it was a year ago! and yet you're here begging for my forgiveness? Are you out5of your mind!?," I shouted in front of him.

His eyes were looking at my face, we were both facing each other. I gave him a fierce look while crossing my arms.

All I know is there is no chance to give and no more foolish love to believe.
