Revival- Knocking On Death's Door

*BOOM!*

On the eastern side of the island, Boa Hancock was in a death match with some of the island's most dangerous beasts.

"Hah!"

A sabertooth tiger was kicked in the head by a leg clad in Haki.

"Bzzzz!"

A winter bee attacked her from behind.

She barely dodged in time and stomp it into the ground.

"Hah~ Hah~"

She was breathing heavily. Her legs hurt and she was wounded all over.

"Not yet!"

However, the passion didn't leave her eyes.

"Slave Arrow!"

She distanced herself and fired countless arrows at the beasts. She didn't know if it was because she was tired but her aim was losing its accuracy.

Two silver bears escaped and rushed towards her.

Silver Bears were twice as large as normal ones, they were twice as fast too. They're actually brown in color, the reason they're called Silver Bears is because of their silver claws that can easily smash a boulder.

The bears slash at Hancock with their claws. She blocked them with her arms clad in Haki.

"Wild beast like you aren't worth Luffy's time!"

She forced them back with a push, and then quickly broke their necks with kicks.

"Oh no!"

Hancock realized that some of the beasts had passed her. They must've taken the opening when she was handling the Bears.

"I won't let you!"

Hancock put her fingers on her lips, and then quickly moved those fingers horizontally in front of her. There 7 small hearts appeared in front of her.

Hancock then quickly ran her hands across all of the hearts.

"Slave Arsenal!"

Thousands of projectiles flew at the beasts. Every one of them that got hit by a bullet instantly turned to stone and crumbled.

In seconds, Hancock eliminated dozens of beasts.

"Hah~, I won't let any of you go after Luffy! Hah~ as long as I can move I'll continue fighting!"

She'll kick until her legs break, and when that happens she'll punch until her arms fall off. And even then, she'll bite until her teeth fall out. That was the resolve the woman called Boa Hancock possessed. She'll only stop when she's dead.

She's no longer buying time. She's clearing the way for her beloved.

If Luffy can accomplish his dreams, she'll gladly become a stepping stone for him.

"I can still fight! So come at me with everything you've got!"

Hancock once again clashed with the beasts.

The Winter Bees were an intelligent species. They had a societal system similar to that of normal bees, however, the queen was the protector of their race. Queen was very intelligent. If she was able to communicate as humans can, she would easily be considered a smart person.

She didn't attack blindly like the other beasts, she planned her attacks before striking. The reason for her intelligence was unknown. But she wasn't the only intelligent beast on the island.

The wingless dragon known as King was the same.

King was at least 5 miles away from where Hancock was fighting. He watched her desperate battle with his amazing eyesight. He was intrigued by her tenacity to fight. But he didn't think of her as a wild animal simply venting out its anger. He saw her as a lioness protecting her cub.

"......"

King looked further to the east, he saw a puny human slowly moving away from the fight. This human would stop every 5 seconds to look back as if waiting on something.

The human looked like its mind was in turmoil. He would occasionally slam his head on a tree or the ground as if forcibly trying to overcome something.

King didn't know why, but this puny human was also interesting to watch.

"......"

King watched as the two humans struggled in their own way.

He then noticed a sudden change in both of them.

Boa Hancock has been fighting vigorously for over an hour. The toll on her body was obvious with a single glance. Her dress was ripped, her hair was messy, her body was covered in wounds, and she was covered with blood.

The blood was a mixture of both hers and the various monsters she killed.

"My legs are about to give out...."

Her legs were covered in blood and were badly wounded. Her knees were wobbly and her legs felt heavy.

Because her legs were her primary weapon for fighting, they had received the most damage.

She couldn't run if she wanted too. But Hancock wasn't the only one damaged. Around her were countless broken statues and animal corpses.

Hancock looked at the pack of monsters in front of her. She had cut down their numbers to less than half.

However, Hancock still wasn't satisfied. The remaining number was more than enough to hunt down and kill the current Luffy.

That's why Hancock refused to fall.

"N-Not yet."

Hancock forced her broken body forward and confronted the beasts.

The beasts began to back away when she moved. They were frightened by her tenacity. In their eyes, what stood before them was a beast that was nearly dangerous as King himself. Their instincts were telling them that only death awaits them if they moved forward.

"......"

Realizing that, Queen finally made her move.

She shot her white stinger from Hancock's left.

Hancock was caught off guard and desperately dodged it.

"Queen?!"

"BZZZZZ!"

Queen extended her gold stinger at Hancock, she jump to the side to avoid it.

"Slave Arrow!"

Hancock fired a dozen heart-shaped arrows, but Queen easily dodged them.

She flew up into the sky and flopped her rainbow-colored wings harder than before.

Strong wind blew away the surrounding beasts, the trees started uprooting, and small twisters were being formed.

"Ugh!"

Hancock put all of her remaining power in her legs to stay planted on the ground.

However, that caused her to feel immense pain.

"BZZZZZ!"

Queen didn't miss that opening. She fired her white stinger on rapid succession. Hancock quickly realize that she couldn't dodge them all and made her decision.

"Don't underestimate me!"

She clad her legs in Haki and repel all of them with kicks. She felt immense pain with every stinger she deflected.

"BZZZZ!"

"Wha?!"

While Hancock was distracted by Queen, another winter bee popped up beside her.

She tried to dodge it, but she was too slow.

"Guh?!"

She was stabbed in the side by a stinger. Hancock grabbed the bee that stabbed her and ripped him in two in a fit of rage.

"D-Damn it..."

She fell to one knee and looked up at Queen. She didn't have any facial muscles, but Hancock felt like she was smirking. Hancock place her hand on her side, she was bleeding a lot. If she hadn't slightly stepped back she would've died.

Hancock glared at Queen and her children.

"You're becoming a real eyesore!"

She kissed two fingers on both of her hands. When she moved them away from her lips, two giant hearts floated in front of her.

Hancock pulled the hearts with a lot of force. She aimed the hearts at the sky and released her grip.

"Slave Bombardment!"

Thousands of heart-shaped arrows were launched into the air. The sky immediately turned pink.

"Bzzzz?!"

The arrows then mercilessly rained down on the remaining beasts. This continued for nearly five seconds.

After the arrows stop, the area was filled with crumbling statues.

There were no survivors.

"BZZZZ."

None expect for Queen.

"...To think you dodged all that. If I didn't know any better, I would think you can use Haki."

The exhausted Hancock mocked Queen. Queen didn't dodge every arrow, she was partially turned to stone.

Her wings were still flapping rapidly, but her speed obviously dropped remarkably.

"It's too bad that you're still alive since I probably can't use any more arrows...."

Hancock had long passed her limit. But she still spoke fearlessly.

"It's only the two of us left. A queen and an empress. Quite ironic, don't you think?"

Hancock not only mocked Queen, but she also mocked herself. She mocked the fact that the proud Empress of Amazon Lily was having a death match with a giant insect.

"I feel like falling over and peacefully bleeding out, but you're too dangerous for me to allow to leave here. If you don't kill Luffy today, you'll surely try to harm him again."

Hancock's glare was filled with hatred.

"The idea of a measly bug like you harming the man I love, makes my blood boil. "

She forced herself to stand up.

"Come, Bug. I'll show you what a real queen is!"

Queen fell for Hancock's provocation and attacked her. She used her stinger to strike Hancock but she block it with her leg.

Hancock forced Queen away and began attacking her with kicks. Queen countered with her stinger.

*Boom* *Boom**Boom**Boom*

Every time their attacks clashed, the air would vibrate.

Hancock and Queen continuously exchanged strikes, like two swordsmen clashing their blades. Queen stringers were destroyed several times, while Hancock's legs continued to break. At one point she couldn't use Haki anymore and was attacking with her raw leg.

So it was expected that she would lose.

"Ugh?!"

Hancock screamed out in pain as her legs finally failed her and collapsed. Queen stabbed at her while she lay on the ground. But Hancock desperately rolled to side and dodged. Queen pursued her and continuously strike at Hancock, but she would evade at the last moment.

Hancock rolled until she hit a tree. She slowly forced herself to sit up, and glared at Queen.

".....So, this is the end."

Queen seeing that Hancock no longer had anywhere to escape, slowly approached her. She readied her stinger and went for the kill.

"Damn it, I really should've stolen his lips!"

Ignoring Hancock's regretful shout, Queen rushed towards her.

And then-

"HANCOCK!"

*Boom!*

Right in front of her eyes, Hancock saw a jet-black giant fist slam into Queen. She was sent flying.

Hancock widen her eyes when she saw the owner of that giant fist land in front of her.

"Are you okay, Hancock?!"

He asked.

"Lu-Luffy, are you back to normal?"

"Yeah. Sorry for all the trouble I caused. You must've had a horrible time taking care of me?"

"No. It wasn't that bad. It was no trouble at all."

Luffy looked at Hancock and immediately saw that she was gravely wounded. He gritted his teeth and had a self blaming look on his face. And then it turned into anger.

"Just wait here for a little bit. I'll handle the rest."

"Hm."

Hancock obediently nodded and watched as Luffy rushed over to where Queen had crashed.

"BZZZZ!"

Queen flew back up and angrily rushed towards Luffy. Luffy entered gear second and intercept her.

"Shut up! I'm the one who should be pissed off here!"

He punched Queen with an impossible-to-see punch.

She flew backward and then rushed at Luffy with her stinger again.

"Bzzzz?"

But she hit air.

Luffy was already above her.

"Jet Stomp!"

Queen was stomped into the ground in an instant.

She quickly tried to get up.

"Elephant Gun!"

But was crushed by another giant fist.

"What the? You seem a lot weaker than before. Did Hancock weaken you that much?"

As if replying to Luffy's provocation, Queen forced herself to fly up in the air once again. She readied her stinger and flew down at an incredible speed. It looked like her final attack.

"Do or die? Something like that isn't going to work."

Luffy clad his arm in Haki and then re-entered Gear Second. Flames started sprouting from his arm.

He jumped into the sky and met Queen's desperate attack head-on.

"BZZZZZZ!"

"Scream all you want, but the current you can't beat the current me!"

He swung his fist upward.

"Red Hawk!"

Luffy's fist destroyed Queen's stingers and ripped her in two.

The two halves of Queen then burst into flames and fell on the snow.

"That was for hurting Hancock."

Luffy landed on the ground and watched as Queen's remains burned.

Hancock who was watching this-

"...As I thought, I prefer being protected than doing the protecting."

She passed out after those words.

"Hancock?!"

Luffy rushed to her. He was panicking too much to realize, but Hancock had a satisfied smile on her face.

That day Luffy and Hancock didn't realize it, but they had eliminated the entire Winter Bee species.
