Calm Before The Storm

"What, I slept for over a day?!"

In a strange white place, Hancock and Luffy were sitting together eating the fruits that Luffy brought.

When Hancock asked Luffy how long she was asleep, Luffy answered with a "Hmm~ About a day and a half".

Hancock freaked out when she heard that.

"W-W-What should I do?! The ship will come to pick me up the day after tomorrow! I wasted a lot of my precious time with Luffy!"

She was panicking, while Luffy casually ate the fruits.

"What's the big deal? You can just stay another a week."

He said.

"I can?!...No, I can't waste any more of your time. I already promised myself that it will only be a week. If I stay any longer, I might never leave."

"I don't mind."

Immediate reply.

"....Eh? Really? I won't be a burden for you?"

"I told you already, I enjoy you being here."

"But, I'm bedridden right now."

"Then I'll take care of you until you get better. It's the least I can do after the trouble I've put you through."

"....No, I still need to go. I can't be away from my people for too long. I'm still their queen...Well, until I become your personal queen."

"I'm not getting married."

Luffy answered immediately, which sadden Hancock. But for only a second.

"Then we can have a Common Law Marriage! As long I'm with you I don't care!"

She immediately bounced back saying that.

"You're really persistent. Do you want to get married so badly?"

"It's not like I just want to get married, I only want to marry you."

She said with a weak voice and a blushing face.

"Hmm~. I'll think about it when I become Pirate King. Wait until then."

"I-I-Is that a proposal?!"

Hancock started blushing while squealing like a little girl.

"I can't wait. I can see it now."

Boa Hancock had started to have a delusion for the first time in a long time.

Hancock was sitting in her throne room alone with a lonely expression on her face.

"Luffy~."

She was looking at a picture of Luffy in the newspaper.

Its headline was "New Pirate King! Handsome Pirate Has Found One Piece!"

"I'm happy that he accomplished his dream, but I miss him so much."

She hugged the newspaper passionately and called his name again.

"Ah! Please wait!"

"The Snake Princess is resting!"

Hancock suddenly heard loud shouts coming from outside the door.

"It's noisy outside."

She got down from her throne, and as she was going to ask what was going on?

"HANCOCK!"

She heard someone passionately call out her name.

Seconds later, the huge doors were forced open.

"Hancock!"

The one who stood there was Handsome Luffy, who was covered in wounds and had his clothes ripped.

"Luffy!"

Hancock happily answered his call.

"Hancock! I have fought against pirates and marines, crossed the terrifying sea, and battled all kinds of beasts and monsters, just to see you!"

"Luffy~."

"After being pushed to the brink of death over and over again, I've finally realized what's important to me!"

He walked up and grab Hancock by her shoulders and drew her close to him.

"You! You are the only thing that matters! After becoming Pirate King it became so obvious!"

He lifted off her feet and held her like a bride.

"So marry me, Hancock!"

"Y-Yes!"

Hancock responded with tears in her eyes.

"Come let's go show the world the beauty of our love!"

"Yes!"

The two hastily left the throne room and held a wedding in front of the whole island.

"What's wrong, Hancock?"

Seeing Hancock with distant eyes, Luffy brought his face close to hers and spoke to her.

"......"

Hancock stared at his face, no his lips, and began to blush.

"I-It's nothing. I was just spacing out. Don't pay it much mind."

"Is that so?"

"B-By the way, you didn't tell me where we were Luffy?"

Hancock tried to change the subject.

"Ah, I guess you're right."

Luffy got up and placed his hand on a pillar next to Hancock.

With one swift motion, he broke off a piece of it.

When he did that, Hancock saw a rainbow-colored jelly-like substance oozing out of the pillar.

"What is that?"

"Honey."

Luffy used a finger and dipped it in the honey, and tasted it.

"It's really delicious."

"Honey? Then we're inside the Winter Bee's hive?!"

Hancock quickly look around as if to see if there was any bee around.

"It's fine. There's no one here. I've already checked. I haven't seen them since I carried you here. Maybe they moved?"

Luffy said with a carefree tone.

'Moved? No, could it be that they ran away now that Queen is dead and is no longer able to protect them?'

Hancock thought to herself.

The reason why there were no bees there was that Hancock and Luffy killed off their species.

"Want some?"

Luffy handed Hancock a piece of the pillar he broke off over to Hancock.

"Thanks."

Hancock happily took it and tasted the honey that was on it.

"Delicious. It's sweet but at the same time a bit sour. I feel like I could eat this forever!"

"Hehehe. I told you it was delicious."

Hancock began to eat the honey at a faster pace when suddenly she felt a slight burning sensation in her chest.

She then started to get a bit light-headed as well.

"Huh? I feel a bit strange. *Hic*"

Hancock's face turned red, but it wasn't because of embarrassment.

Unknowingly to Hancock, Winter Bees honey has alcoholic properties. However, it will only affect you if you eat too much at once, while having a weak tolerance for liquor.

In other words, she was drunk off honey.

"Hm? Hey, Hancock. You don't look so good. Are you sick?"

"....."

She didn't answer him so he went closer to her, and then-

"Luffy~!"

"Woah!"

Hancock pounced on him and he tumbled over.

"Luffy~! Luffy~! Luffy~!"

Hancock started rubbing her cheek on Luffy's while passionately calling his name.

"H-Hancock, what's wrong?!"

Luffy was flustered by her sudden clingy behavior.

"I want to be Luffy's kitten~."

"Huh? Wait, are you drunk?"

"I-I'm not drunk. It's just that those dancing fairies won't stop flying around and are confusing me!"

"Fairies?! Where?!"

Luffy honestly believed Hancock's drunken mumbles and started to look for fairies.

Seeing his back wide open, Hancock pounced on him.

"Luffy~."

"You are drunk! Ow!"

Hancock suddenly bit Luffy on the ear.

"Don't use Haki to bite me!"

"You're so cute when you're angry~."

She said in a teasing tone.

"Hey, why do you keep ignoring my advances even though I tried so hard?"

"T-That's because I don't want to get married."

"Hm~. Well, that's fine for now."

She then seductively go around to his front and whispered in his ear.

"Besides, I love the chase."

"Huh?"

"Luffy, let's play~!"

Hancock started pulling on Luffy's clothes.

"Hey, what are you doing ?!"

"What's the big deal~? You saw me naked, so return the favor~."

"No, no, no! You have a crazy look in your eye! I have a feeling that I'll regret it if I do!"

"Come on~."

"Why are women so unreasonable when they're drunk?! Nami is the same! She got drunk once and started charging me for being in the same room as her! I owe so much debt because the food in the room was too delicious to leave!"

Hearing Luffy's complaint, Hancock stopped pulling Luffy's clothes.

"Eh? Did she sober up?"

"...ater."

"Huh? What did you say?"

"Cheater! You're a cheater, Luffy!"

"Ha! Stop choking me! Aren't you supposed to be unable to move?!"

"Cheater! Liar! Lecher! I bet you go from island to island saving any girl that you come across!"

Well, she wasn't wrong.

"Not only that, you have two beautiful women in your crew! Are you trying to become Pirate King or Harem King?!"

"I don't even know what that is!"

"Liar!"

"Drunken women are scary! I would prefer to fight the admirals!"

It took Luffy a few hours to pacify the overly emotional drunk Hancock.

Meanwhile on the other side of the island.

"........"

King was staring down at a mountain of corpses in front of him. They were the corpses of the monsters who were foolish enough to attack him. He walked away from the corpses and headed towards a river. He stopped and looked at the water, but he wasn't idly staring at his own reflection. He was waiting for something.

Shortly after, it emerged out of the river.

It was about 30 ft tall, it had gold scales and a long serpentine body. It was the monster Hancock encountered when she took a bath in the river.

Luffy calls it River Boss, and just like King, it was one of the most dangerous beasts on the island. River Boss stared King in the eyes, before leaving the river and walk on land.

Seeing that, King quietly walked away and River Boss followed.

The two then started walking towards a cliff, and that's when they saw a giant shadow forming on the ground. When they looked up, they saw a giant two-headed bird with a reptilian face and black beak flying over them.

They ignored it and continued on their path. It followed.

This bird monster was called Boss A.

"......."

King stopped when he felt the earth suddenly start shaking.

Immediately after, a giant hole was created in front of him. And from it came another giant monster. It had a crocodile's head and tail but the body of a turtle. It also had claws that resembled diggers. It was the monster that made Hancock and Luffy have to leave their first Love Nest.

It was called Boss B.

King walked passed it and continued walking. Just like the others, it followed.

After a while he stopped before he reached the cliff, and so did the other monsters.

"RAWR!"

King roared for the first time since he woke up. It was so loud and powerful that it felt like the whole island shook.

"......"

King silently stared at the sea for a while. He watched as a whirlpool suddenly formed in the ocean. He watched as Sea Kings tried to escape it, but was quickly reduced to minced meat; thus dying the sea red.

And then-

*BOOM!*

Something launched itself from out of the sea and stood in front of King. It wasn't as big as the others, it was only the size of two normal size humans when it stood on two feet.It had reptile skinned torso, but white fur covered everywhere else. It had gills on its neck, a pair of black bull horns, and finally a scorpion tail.

This monster had no name.

That's because Luffy had never met it. This monster spends most of its time terrorizing the ocean floor. So it doesn't appear on land so often. But that doesn't mean that it's weak on land.

Whether it be land or sea. Winter or summer. This monster can survive in any environment.

Originally from the New World, but drifted all the way to this island.

It was a monster second only to King.

"..."

The monster looked at King and smiled with its gorilla-like face. And then walked passed it and entered the island.

King silently followed, and the others in turn.

This meeting of the island's top 5 monsters was the beginning of an event that Hancock and Luffy could never imagine.
