Leaving the Spirit Tree

Sael found Lia amongst a group of the remaining slaves, there weren't many left.  They were organizing the remaining supplies and figuring out how to handle the nearly thousand helpless elves.  He stood away from them while he waited for her to notice him, he still wasn't sure how the survivors felt about recent events.  When Lia glanced in his direction the various slaves with her all turned to look as well. Eyes widened as one, the group of mostly awakened beasts looked at him strangely.  Lia broke away from them a few moments later to come up to him.

"Pay them no mind, they are a bit in awe of meeting you is all. You are a hero to them." Lia explained as she approached.

"Me a hero? But… so many are dead now."  Sael gave a confused shrug.

"But it wasn't you who ordered them to fight.  Most, if not all of them blame the elven kings." She reached up and touched the crown of lace around her brow with a thoughtful expression.
