Chapter 34 - Divinity 1

Glory City, on the surface, had Hierarchy with which the common people were familiar: The City Lord, Major Families, Noble Families, Aristocratic Families, and then common people. Though there were two organisations, Alchemy Association and now the Inscripsionist Guild, both played a significant role in the city's development. Even the City Lord was polite with them.

Because of that, the position as the Director of Alchemy Association was one of the highest ones, and as the Deputy in that organisation put Yang Xin at the top of the Hierarchy and yet, the true Hierarchy was something else entirely.

The house, quint house she was standing in front of, belonged to the ruler of the Glory City, but that wasn't why she was nervous.

Claaaankkkk

"Yang Xiu, you are here," Tatsuya peeked from the other side of the door, opening it to welcome her inside.

"Tatsuya," Yang Xiu tried to maintain her smile, stepping forward, hugging him, taking in his scent. She looked up, realising her lips had been taken by his, and she placed hers on his chest, kissing him back.

He invited her in, though she first noticed many people, those she recognised and those she did not. There was the ginger head from Winged Dragon Family, Xiao Ning'er, Miyuki and Jun, and Shen Xiu. The ones she didn't recognise were the white-haired woman and another girl among them.

"You guys need a new house," Yang Xin smiled, greeting everyone around.

"Big enough that you can come and live here as well," Shen Xiu mockingly smiled at the woman.

Yang Xin raised her chin, thoughtfully looking up, "Now, that's not a bad idea. What do you think, Tatsuya?"

"I think nothing on this topic."

"Aren't you always with Nii-san in days? Miyuki will be angry if you started hogging him at night, too," Jun chuckled, working on a book of inscriptions, a program that Tatsuya had prepared. He was proofreading to see if he could notice any mistakes. Or improvements. Though, Tatsuya making mistakes rarely happened.

"I will not!" Miyuki puffed her cheeks, but she shot an angry look at Yang Xin instead of Jun.

"Very believable," Yang Xin rolled her eyes at the girl sitting beside her and Ning'er, "Your little sister isn't here?"

"Ziyun? She went on the trip that Linjian was leading," Ning'er leaned forward to get a good look at Yang Xin, "Why are you here?"

"I called her," Tatsuya stood behind the couch, leaning over the frame, "Jun… spoke with the Master of NetherWorld. He agreed to…well…not destroy the architecture we decided to build in front of the entrance of his Realm. Also…I wanted to introduce her."

Yang Xin followed Tatsuya's gesture to the elegant-looking girl, "?"

"She's the daughter of NetherMaster. So, if there is anything you wish to know about NetherWorld, she will tell you."

"Oh, a Princess," Yang Xin smiled, narrowing her eyes, "Does that mean you want our people to research for Alchemy Pills customised for people of NetherWorld."

"Yes," Tatsuya nodded, "Also, I want you to research the herbs, minerals, or anything that could be found in NetherWorld and can be useful to us."

Yang Xin put her hand inside her cleavage, took out her phone, and took notes, "What else?"

"This is enough for now. If you want, you can take Xiao Yu and trip around the NetherWorld. She will guide you."

"I'll take a whole team. Wait, two of them. Each for a project," Yang Xin thought for a moment, "I'll bring about a few pills to sell and see the response."

"You should take food," Xiao Yu calmly suggested, "The food in NetherWorld is nowhere near as good as this. Maybe taking spices would be better."

"How about Food Pills then?" Miyuki leaned back, looking at Tatsuya, who thought for a moment nodding, "That is a good idea."

"Food Pills?"

"Yes. Well, they were made for Army," Jun said, hastily looking up, changing his state, "In case an army ever existed in Glory City."

"Uh-huh," Xiao Yu raised her eyebrows, "What do they exactly do?"

"Well, they provide the nutrition of a meal to the soldier, keeping them in tip-top shape to fight. They also come in different flavours. It would be near impossible to let the crops survive in the environment of NetherWorld unless we create seeds that are genetically resistant to that environment. So, the Food Pills that failed here would be a good choice."

"They sound amazing…why did they fail here?"

"Well, imagine a family sitting together with four pills in front of them and swallowing them. Hey, dinner's over," Jun chuckled, "The thing is for workaholics and single people who are far too busy to cook. So, it's not that it failed. It's a good staple food. It didn't do what it was meant to when we came up with the concept."

"Though, it does sound like something people of NetherWorld would like. Until we develop a way to let crops grow in NetherWorld or genetically engineer crops that could grow there," Tatsuya exhaled, "Anyway. The two of you decide when you are good with leaving and tell me."

"Can I taste those pills?" Xiao Yu keenly asked, leaning forward. She didn't have anything better to do here.

"Sure," Yang Xin stood up when Tatsuya reminded Xiao Yu, "I have to work on your Cultivation Technique too. So, be home early."

"I will," Xiao Yu followed Yang Xin, walking out.

"That reminds me," Yu Yan kept her palm on her stomach, "This new body. I want to understand it more. I heard you possess the same kind?"
