The Family Meeting
The triplets are seated on a rectangular iron wooden table, and then a young girl wearing the same fur coat as them walks in, she had blond hair, she was like the exact replica of her mother but she had blue eyes instead, she was the fourth born of the Marian family and her name was Florence, she was holding an iron tray with three ironstone bowls of steaming hot soup and three spoons. "Welcome back brothers and sister, I made some soup for you guys, here try them" she said as she drops the tray on the table and the triplets each picked on bowl and a spoon and began to eat. "Florence this is lovely I have to say, I might even need another bowl" Matilda says with a mouth full. Luther looks at his soup for quite some time and then he drops his spoon, lifts the bowl to his mouth and begins to gulp it down really fast, "Luther take it easy on the soup, there are meat pieces, you can choke you know" Florence says looking worried, Luther finishes gulping his soup and drops the bowl on the table, " Thank you Florence, the soup was really lovely, I enjoyed it very much but I must leave now" Luther said as he stood up from the table and began to walk towards the door, he opened the door and went out and didn't shut it. "He seems nervous" Florence said and she got up to shut the door, then she turned to her siblings and says "He's going to talk to father again isn't he" Thomas and Matilda turn to her as they node their heads.
Luther looks at the big door that was the door of a castle, he then takes a big breath and pushes the door open the door. He then walks into a big room that the walls were made of iron, with the four flags on each wall that had the family crest, a dean wolf holding a flaming sword, on it. At the end of the room there was a throne, it was made out of sliver, by the sides of the throne were small statuaries of different kind of monsters heads and at the back of the throne was a golden Wyvern etched* on it.(etched means to cut or engrave into a surface, mostly used for decorating metal). Sitting on the throne was a man who had beard black and gray long hair with beautiful black leather clothing with black gloves and boots. He had a black walking stick with the head of a wolf on it. This man was Richard Marian the third (3rd). He was the 4th king of Iron Ground and Luther walked into the room and met him talking to an elderly man with a gray rob, the elderly man's name was Eric, he was not only the hand to the king but also the children's head teacher, "Believe me when I tell you this my lord, Edith is the most intelligent person I've ever seen, even better than Florence and Oliver, she not only knows" Eric takes a quick pause as he notices Luther, "Well Luther I am very sorry, I didn't notice you there, I do hope you didn't stand for long?." Eric said with a big smile. "No sir Eric I didn't" Luther said smiling back at him "Well I'll be off" Eric said as he began to walk away "No, stay, you need to hear this, both of you", Luther says as he points to Eric and his father. "A slider Mole attacked a region two days ago, it didn't purposely kill anyone because it was acting in a chaotic manner, and, the amount of people we have migrating to the North is the highest we've ever had since Iron rock was created and that is because every day we hear reports of the monsters getting bigger and bigger in number and" Luther said and take a pause, and then a big breath. "Father the monsters are getting stronger, and we fear they might be someday be too strong for us, it even too us a while to kill this one" Luther says and then looks down at the floor. "STOP" Richard says with a loud voice, "I know about the monsters getting larger and stronger, and there are two we can stop it and sharing our powers isn't one of them, you see I have purposely put smugglers who don't charge anything from people in every part of the world to migrate people to the north where it is safe so we have nothing to worry about , and here" he says and he brings out a big brown pouch that had coins inside from his pocket, "Give this to Gregory, this should help with the rebuilding of his region and tell him I will give him more when I come back " Richard says as he stands up from the throne and hands the pouch to Luther, he then takes a look at the back of it and says "Luckily we still have time, send a guards to call the whole family to the meeting room, we are going to have a little talk" after saying that he begins to walk towards the door and leaves. Luther stands still looking very shocked and then sir Eric walks up to him, holds his shoulder and says "At least this time he just told you a simple no rather than arguing on and on about how we cannot trust people with the power we have" he looks around as if to check if anyone was with them, come closer to Luther and says "There's a lot more to this monsters and the powers have that you don't know yet" after that, both of them walk towards the door and leaves
Florence, Oliver and Edith are in a big empty compound that happens to be the training arena, there were rack that had spears, swords, shields and all other kinds of weapons. They were playing with their dean wolves, Florence's and Oliver's dean wolves, Joan and Bolt, were the same as the triplets own, but Edith dean wolf, Flame, was different, it had pure white fur with golden colored eyes, it was to be as big as the triplets own dean wolves even though it was the youngest, even Florence's and Oliver's own dean wolf was not was not as big as it. Just then a guard was running their way, "My lady, my lady, my lord" the guard says as he bows to each of them, "His majesty, your father wishes to see the whole family in the meeting room immediately, I shall escort you there" the guard says as he beckons the children to follow him. The children stop what they were doing and begin to follow the guard. The whole of the Iron Ground castle was very busy as the people from the manila region were packing up to return to their home. In the crowd was Luther was Luther and Gregory discussing, "Here" Luther says as he hand over the pouch of money to Gregory, "This is for rebuilding the house and other damaged buildings in your region, more will be on its way very soon" Luther says, "Thank you my lord, and please tell his majesty that we are very grateful for him accommodating us, feeding us and giving us this token, we really appreciate it" Gregory said and Luther nods his head as a response and they both go their separate ways.
The whole family is seated by a table that seemed to also be a map of the world. Richard and Eleanor are seated by each other the triplets are seated by the left side of the table and their younger siblings on the right with Sir Eric in between them. The room is quite for a while, the Richard final speaks, "We will be going to the South East, Baron Fall to be précised, I know I haven't told you a lot of things and I would love to tell but as always I am busy taking care of this kingdom, so I'm just going to be quick and say", he takes a pause and starts taking deep breaths, the whole family around the table look at him with their eyes wide open waiting to hear what Richard was about, Richard then takes in one last breath and says "There is a man called Alaric, he is the one who brought theses monsters into our world" those words he said put the whole family into shock, except for Sir Eric, who looked like he already knew what Richard was going to say, "A long time ago he was locked up in a place he couldn't escape on his own because he almost ended the world, if he ever were to be set free it will be total chaos, I know you have noticed the monster situation becoming quite difficult for us, the reason it is the way it is, is because it's a warning, I fear the king of Baron Fall, William, may have done something he shouldn't have", Richard takes another deep breath and stands up from his chair and says "We might be going to Baron Fall to make an alliance, or we might be going there for war, depends all on William's approach towards us, so I need you all to be prepared for anything when we go there, Sir Eric tell them what you have planned" Richard takes he's sit after that, the entire family seated round the table seemed to be in more shock, not long after had Richard finishes talking that Sir Eric stood up from his chair, arranged some papers, did a little cough to clear his throat and said, "Good day to you all, now I know what the king here has said may be a shock to all of you but you have to get passed that now because this is not just any trip to a neighborhood kingdom but a mission of life and death. First of all our trip to Baron Fall will not be by road but with the Iron portal" As he says that children jolt all saying "WHAT" then Florence said "What portal, you mean the" Just as she said those words she is interrupted by Thomas, "The portal that grandfather always talks about in the beginning of all his books, you mean it's real" Thomas said with his eyes full of excitement, "Yes it's real" Sir Eric says and looks at Thomas with a smile and continues with what he was saying.
"We will be using this portal to take us to the South East and I know all of you are hearing it for the first time but trust me, it's safe. Now, when we get to Baron Fall we will meet the king, we have already sent out word of are visit to me so there will be people there who will welcome us, but don't expect a grand welcoming because it is only the people in the castle that know about our visit, word has is that king William isn't very familiar with his subject. We know that king William has a nineteen year old son called Damian so we will arrange a marriage between." Eric takes a pause and takes a look round the room, the whole family expect Richard looked more shocked than ever, especially Matilda and Florence since it had something to do with marriage, Eric looked at Richard and Richard beckons him to continue. "The marriage will be between king William's son, Damian, and the princess of North" he takes a long pause, the family looked very anxious to hear the name the name that was going to come out of his mouth, Eric takes a deep breath and continues to speak, "And the princess of North, Florence Marian" as he says that the whole meeting room is thrown into disorder as everyone began to speak at the same time. "Impossible, you can't do that" Eleanor said as she jumped out of here chair, "I find that very unnecessary father" Luther said, "That's outrageous father, is marriage the only thing we can use to have a union between the two kingdoms." Thomas said, "Father Florence is quite young, Why don't you let me marry him instead." Matilda said, "Has Florence even met Damian before" Oliver says. As the whole family is complaining all at once, Florence didn't even say a word; she just looked very confused and a little terrified. "Alight everyone, one house please" Eric said as he was banging the table to get their attention. "Now Florence off course we will not force you into this marriage, you have the rest of the day to think about it okay" Eric said looking at Florence who nods her head as a responds.
"Now then, you all don't know about this but this Alaric we speak of is locked in a place inside Baron Fall's castle with some instruction on how to set him free, now if we are lucky, no one in the castle has notice it yet, and if they did, well, let's just hope they have no idea what it is. So if our marriage proposal goes successfully we will do all we can to destroy Alaric while he is still locked up because it will be easier for us that way." Eric said. "And how do we destroy him exactly." Luther asked. Eric gives a quick look at Richard and says "Well that is a long story and we certainly don't have time for that. Now then, Queen Eleanor, if anything were to happen, let's say the alliance goes go as plan and the whole family ends up splitting up, you must remain in the in that castle as a spy, use your ability to communicated with the king through dreams to tell him everything that happens there and as for Edith here." Eric said as he turns his head towards Edith, "If things do go sideways and we split up, follow Flame, your dean wolf to wherever it goes." Edith looks confused as ever. "Did you just say if we ever split up, I should leave all of you and follow Flame" Edith asked, "Yes, now then, the meeting is over, if you have any questions, you can ask the king himself, he is the one who came up with most of the ideas." Eric said as he walked towards the door and left.
