Iron and Monsters

It was during the winter season which wasn't different from any other day in Iron Ground because it snowed every day due to it being located in the northern region, the floor and roof tops were covered with snow, men, women and children wearing brown and gray fur clothing. The people of Iron Ground gathered in a straight line by the two paths of the city gate all curiously looking and chatting loudly wondering what monster the Marian triplets have caught this time. Not long after the gathering, a man who was in the watch tower on top the thirty foot Iron shouted with a loud and husky voice "OPEN THE GATES", the metal door of the gate began to rise up the fore-feet of three horses and of wolves which appeared to be giant black fur wolves began to show in the gap between the gate and the snow covered floor. Then the gate fully opened and sitting on the three horses were three people covered in black leather hoods, beside each of them, what appeared to be giant wolves were not just any ordinary wolves but dean wolves, huge creatures as big as horses with silky black fur glowing ocean blue eyes and long claws. The people on the horses and the wolves passed the gate and behind them were five hefty men who were in black metal plated amour pulling a giant crate that was covered with a white cloth with fat ropes.

Finally they all passed the gate and the iron door was lowered down, the figures came down from their horses and took of their hoods. The stood in a line in front of their horses, in the middle was the oldest of the triplets, Luther, a tall handsome male with porcelain white skin, long dark brown hair that reached his neck, a goatee on his chin, moderately muscular in stature with green eyes, he had a sash on his body and at the back of his body the sash was holding two big sliver swords that reached the back of his knee. By the right was the second sibling Thomas, another male who had blond curly hair and green eyes, he was a little slimmer than his brother but still muscular and he didn't have any facial hair, he had a bag strap around his shoulders that had books inside and on his back seemed to be a giant sliver sledge hammer. And the person by the left was the last born of the triplet Matilda. A beautiful female with long luscious hair and same skin as her brothers, red rosy lips, slender in stature with big green eyes, she was holding a sliver two sided spear." Gregory where are you "Luther shouted, as he did an average sized man who looked like he was in his early sixties, came out from the line from the of people and stood in front of the triplets, he had gray full hair and a black fur coat, "yes my Lord" he replied, "Is this the monster that terrorized you and your people in your region?" he said turning his body away from Gregory and pointing at the giant crate, as he does that the men pulling the crate drop their ropes and full off the white cloth and as the white cloth is taken off the people gasp in shock, the crate was actually a metal cage and what was inside seemed to be a giant mole and its skin appeared to be sliver and scaly, it had two holes in the middle of its face which seemed to be the nostrils, from the top of his head to his fore-head had been split into two with black liquid dripping out of it, this black liquid was its blood, all monster of had black blood. Gregory took a good look round the cage, faced Luther and nodded his head. "People of the manila region, the monster that attacked you the two days ago is gone as you can see, your home is safe to live in now, you are now allowed to go home" Luther said with a loud voice and immediately the line of people scattered and people started moving.

In the crowd of busy people, two children who were about the same age came running out, towards Luther, Thomas and Matilda, the triplets noticed and couldn't help but smile and open up their arms to receive a big hug . The two children were Oliver, a male who was the second to the youngest child of the Marian family, he had looked like Luther but younger and he didn't have any facial hair and he was missing a tooth, and the other was a girl, her name was Edith, the adopted sister and last born of the Marian family, she had lovely light brown skin, kinky brown hair and honey colored eyes. "What is the name of that monster in the cage and how did you kill it" Oliver said excitedly and in amazement, Edith ran to the cage and looked at it from all four sides "It's a slider mole isn't it?" Edith said turning to her siblings sound as excited as ever, "Yes it is" Thomas replied, "Well someone learnt their monsters" Matilda said with a big smile. Just at that moment a woman came running in the siblings direction, she had a fur coat, the same as the one's the triplets were wearing, she had green eyes and she blond hair and she seemed to be in her forties, her name was Eleanor, "Oliver and Edith don't you ever run off like that again" Eleanor said in a calm voice, "sorry mother" Oliver and Edith said together "okay off you go now, your classes have started" she said beckoning the children to leave. "And please take thunder, Herne and Agnes with you" Matilda said to Oliver and Edith. Thunder, Herne and Agnes were the dean wolves. Each child of the Marian family owned one. They were like the pets but they were more of friends, they were like family. "So recently I've been busy an missed out on a lot but so I don't really know what is going own so could you please explain everything that has been going on to me" The mother ask the triplets while taking steps closer to the cage and examining it in confusion, "Well mother the day before yesterday the all people of the manila region, men, women and children came banging on the gate crying and screaming in horror and that something terrible had happened and they should please let them in, so since father was busy in ordered them to open the gate, the people came running in, finally the crowd passed the gate and then I saw Gregory, the head of the manila region as sad as ever, we sat down and had a chat, he said that just a few hours everything was normal, the people were getting ready to go to bed when suddenly, the ground started to shake, he said it was as then is began to get bigger and bigger than, BOOM!" Luther said clapping his hands loudly, "That slider mole came crashing out of a house, destroying it and went back inside the hole it seemed to have made" Luther said, took a deep breath and started walking towards the cage.

"The people started screaming and running for their lives and at that moment the ground began to shake vigorously again and out from the ground it jumped out from the ground and came smashing on another house, Gregory opened the gate of the region and the guards lead the people out of the region, and as for the monster it just kept going in and out of the ground, destroying buildings, it wasn't really chasing anybody, Gregory said that from the looks of it, it looked terrified" Luther said. "They get terrified" Eleanor asked in shock, "Maybe they do, you know in one of grandfather journals he mentioned that animals and monsters are able to sense natural disasters and when monsters do the begin to act in a chaotic manner", Thomas said looking at the book in his hand " You know he might not be wrong, first it was reports from region's watch tower about monsters lurking very far from their gates and, for the first time in the history of Iron Rock, a monster has actually passed the lake and attack a region" Matilda said looking rather disturbed. "Well we do know the castle is under magical protection that has been here for many years and the further you are from the castle the further you are away from the protection and manila region being the furthest, well, we, cannot be too surprised" Luther said and he had a disturbed look too. "I've decided I'm going to tell father of my plan" Luther said and immediately Eleanor left was she was looking at in the cage rushed up to Luther, "you can't ask him now, you can't ask him ever, you know he will never agree and you two will just end up arguing and the two of you will get angry and spend the whole day with a foul and sour mood" she said looking straight at Luther with her eyes wide open to show she was serious. "Mother can't you see, a region in the North was attacked today, and talk outside side of the North, reports from other kingdoms have been saying that the monster attacks have been happening very often, monster have been breaking into their gates and most they barely they destroy an entire city with a lot of people injured and sometimes even dead, that why we have so many people migrating to the North, did you see the size of the people from manila, about a year they were never this much, and all the other five regions are filled up and who knows how long before manila is filled up too, the monster are multiplying and they are also getting stronger, me, Thomas and ,Matilda can't fight that much" Luther said. "We don't need to fight that much" Thomas said. "Yes, we are never leaving the North, I mean one no one has left the north in seventy years and who would want to leave in the first place, it's the safest place in the world" Matilda said. "The rest of the world can be safe too, you know what I'm going, and I'm going to talk to father again" Luther said and walks away. "Wait" Eleanor shouts "Before you do, go to the dining room, your sister Sophia made lunch for you all. Eleanor said. "She did, that's very kind of her, but why didn't she just meet us as we were coming in" Thomas asked. "You know how scared she is of these monsters, even when they're dead" Eleanor said. "Alright mother" Luther said walking away with Thomas and Matilda following him.
