Chapter 85

The honeymoon had to wait. Emmeline had an episode. She remembered Roger's absence and decided to go look for him. She escaped in the middle of the night, sure that he was waiting for her somewhere and for some unknown reason, people at the castle were trying to keep them apart.

Louisa and Mihcael had decided to go to Bath for a few days, so they could see somewhere different and also, don't go too far as to leave Emmeline for too long. But the night before they should go, she ran away.

"We'll find her, Your Highness." One of the guards said after Michael sat on a near chair and had his head between his hands. Louisa was inquiring with some people to understand how that happened.

She saw her husband, hair a mess and the clothes torn, and she knew he was about to have a breakdown himself. She approached and put her hand on his shoulder. Michael didn't need to see to know it was her, his love.

He put his hand over hers and looked up, giving her a slight smile.
