"Oh Michael...I can't believe you have to leave again!" Emmeline cried.

"I'll be back soon, mother. Won't take too long." He said. "Soon I'll be here, we'll have lots of lunches and dinners, balls to dance..."

"Oh yes… you will be in the next season!" She said and Michael nodded in agreement. He hugged his mother.

"And we will also have a wedding soon." He whispered and Emmeline smiled.

"I can't wait for it!" She said, letting out a sweet little smile.

Michael hugged his father.

"Your last few months as a college student." Roger said, hands on his son's shoulders. "Time went by so fast..."

"Good thing, for I couldn't take it anymore!" Michael joked and everyone laughed. He then approached Louisa.

"See you later, cousin." She said, her voice sweet. Michael wanted to hug her, but he would be too bold.

"See you later, Lou. I'll count the days to see you again. And, of course, to start getting her letters."

She smiled upon hearing this.
