Title: Unfulfilled Dream

It was time to head back...
Chu Yuechan started taking heavy footsteps as she was reluctant to go back to her Sect similar to a child being sent to school after a prolonged vacation.
"W-Wait..." called Yun Che.
Hearing exactly the same words, she has been wanting to hear, Chu Yuechan swiftly turned back with eyes full of anticipation, her heart acting restless.
"I'll have to return you something.." saying this Yun Che fished out the Ice Profound Beast Core from his inventory and handed it to Chu Yuechan.
"...."
"...."
A hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
Was she expecting something more? Then what is it?
Her main purpose for being sent here by her Master was to collect the Profound Beast Core and as her task is now completed, she had to return back. She began reasoning that she had no reason to stay behind.
"Un.." Chu Yuechan gave a nod to both Yun Che and Cang Yue, then took off, leaving a gust of mist around her.

"Brother Che, what do you think of Senior Sister?" asked Cang Yue absent-mindedly looking far into the distance from where Chu Yuechan disappeared.
"..Huh?"
"I-It's nothing.." said Cang Yue.
"She looks cold but isn't that indifferent either. The present her isn't the same as the one before. That's all I can say." Yun Che honestly answered.
"Mhm..," Cang Yue agreed.
"Hmph! What if she isn't cold?" a voice sounded next to Yun Che. The Sky Poison Pearl continued to blink and Jasmine made her appearance soon enough.
"Jasmine, it's been some time since I checked upon you," said Yun Che not even turning back to look at her.
"I'm. not. a. kid." Jasmine retorted. "This Princess has grown up!"
"But... you act like one," replied Yun Che. "Don't you think you're forgetting something?" Yun Che asked narrowing his eyes.
"Big Sis is here, I can't call you.." answered Jasmine in a minute voice. "This Princess will call you when we're alone..." she said with her face creeping with tiny blushes.
Yun Che sighed and then nodded. He can't just force things to happen and had to patiently wait for it.
"Okay... now let's restart... I don't want you to slack off from training any longer.." said Yun Che to Cang Yue in a serious tone.
"This Princess has some profound arts that could help you.." said Jasmine.
All-day she was the only one doing nothing, Not wanting to be left out, she decided to share some of her profound arts with Yun Che as he doesn't seem to have any or might never do he use them in front of her. She decided to try it...
Yun Che thought for a moment and accepted.
Cang Yue's cultivation was rising up slowly and was currently at the 3rd Stage of Earth Profound Realm. Bestowed by the Phoenix with its bloodline, her cultivation was increasing much faster than before. All it takes is a couple of months of hard work to raise her cultivation.
Training resumed only this time turning much tougher than usual. But Cang Yue persisted, on the whole, to train a lot keeping in mind that she didn't want to lag behind Yun Che. At the end of the training, Cang Yue's cultivation finally stabilized at the peak of the Earth Profound Realm.
These few days were a big shock to Jasmine with every time Yun Che crashing and exceeding her expectations but slowly she began to accept the reality.
Days continued to pass in the blink of an eye and the upcoming tournament was nearing closer.

Meanwhile, Chu Yuechan just appeared in the Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace and headed to the room where Gong Yuxian was awaiting her arrival.
"Disciple Yuechan greets Master," Chu Yuechan kneeled down to Gong Yuxian who was leisurely sitting on the Icy throne.
Gong Yuxian stood up and with light steps walked to Chu Yuechan.
"Master, here is the Sky Profound Beast Core you have asked for." Chu Yuechan handed the Storage ring to her master.
Verifying its contents, a smile surfaced on her cold face. It's because even though the Core is of Sky Profound Beast, it was not just an ordinary beast. It was already at the peak of Sky Profound Realm just a step away from the Throne containing much pure and dense profound energy within it.
She walked back to her throne and sat down with her chin resting on one of her hands.
"Good... this time, no one can stop us from obtaining the first place," she said gripping the Profound Beast Core with the other hand. Her long unfulfilled dream will finally come to fruition, or so she thought.
"Yes, Master" replied Chu Yuechan. Seeing that Gong Yuxian seemed to be in a good mood, Chu Yuechan carefully continued.
"Master, this disciple has a request."
"What is it? Ask away.." said Gong Yuxian. Her personal disciple performed the task and she wanted to reward her.
"Can this disciple attend the Blue Wind Tournament, Master? " asked Chu Yuechan seeking permission.
"For what? " asked Gong Yuxian slightly raising an eyebrow but not turning her gaze away from the Profound Core resting in her hand.
"Disciple wants to personally witness our Sect securing the top position, Master. If not, this disciple will stay behind," said Chu Yuechan with a hint of sadness evident in her tone.
"Mm, This is a good opportunity to show our dominance to the rest of the Major Sects. You will be permitted," said Gong Yuxian as she couldn't turn down after hearing what Chu Yuechan said.
"Disciple sincerely thanks Master" Chu Yuechan held her head low grateful for her Master.
"Is there anything else? " asked Gong Yuxian lazily moving her eyes.
Chu Yuechan shook her head.
"Then, You may leave.." said Gong Yuxian waving off her hand.
Gong Yuxian then was busy planning on selecting the top disciples to be sent from her Frozen Cloud Asgard. She was now certain to show the might of her Sect to the Empire and didn't tolerate any mistakes to take place in this main event.
Receiving Profound Beast Core from her Master Chu Yueli, Qingyue started her close door cultivation fully immersed with raising her own level.
Chu Yuechan took her leave and left for her own quarters to take rest.
*Scree...*
A huge snow-white bird-type profound beast tackled Chu Yuechan to the ground which was over ten meters tall, and its whole body was as white as snow. It was so eager to see its master back and couldn't help but fall all over her.
"L-little Chan, s..stop!..." It took a while for Chu Yuechan to calm down her pet.
"Scree?" Little Chan looked at its master smiling and stopped for a while.
"Little Chan, I have so much to tell you..." said Chu Yuechan.
The bird nodded as if understanding what its master said.
The remaining time was spent with her sharing details of what happened during her stay with Yun Che and Cang Yue. She was really excited to meet Yun Che soon and can't help but pass the time till then reminiscing the short period of time she spent in the Wasteland of Death.
