Power

The mall was 15 blocks away from my home, of course, if you went by car you could get there in 15 minutes at most, however, for me, who only had a bicycle, it will take me almost 40 minutes. I couldn't wait that long. I didn't know why, but something was telling me that Lara wasn't lying. So I used some of my save money and took a cab, the taxi driver was surprising, however, I didn't have the time to explain.

"GO TO THE MALL, FAST!" I shouted while showing the money

The taxi driver look at the money and then took from me, then he started the engine.

"Lara, tell me! What is happening!" I asked.

"Family.....danger....you…..must save..." Lara said the same thing everytime I asked.

I grow more anxious by the minute.

When we got there, I looked everywhere for mom and sis.

"Lara, where are they!?" I asked Lara.

"Be…..careful…"

Just went Lara said that, I saw a small van passing in front of me.

"Must….Stop" Said Lara.

I follow the small van, why? , I can't explain it, I just have this feeling that sometime bad will happen if I didnt follow it, so I decided to listen to Lara, I follow the van to a nearby alley, this alley was where the employees throw the garbage so it was usually alone, in there,I saw something that made my blood go cold.

"Its mom and sis!"

That's right, mom and sis were in this alley, but why!?

Just went I was wondering, the van stopped in front of mom and sis, two men came out from the van.

"Okay, shut up and come in" Shout one of the man.

"Wait!" Shout my mom.

She went in front of my sister and lift both of her arms.

"You can take everything you want, just let us go"

One of the man approach my mom.

*SLAP*

A huge palm slapped my mom's face.

"Did I tell you to talk, bitch? Get in the fucking car!" Shout one of the man while grabbing my mom's arms.

"Let het go!" Shout my sister while grabbing the man, she instantly lifted her leg and give the man a kick on his face!

My sister wasn't the captain of the karate club just for show.

The man lose his balance and almost trip over, however, the other man took the opportunity and thrown a punch to my sister., she barely evaded it. She used the back of her palm to hit the chin of her opponent. After that she kicked the man's balls.

"AHHHH!! YOU BITCH!" The man said while grabbing his crotch on the floor.

Just went my sister was about to finish him, the other man grabbed my mom and took a gun from his pocket.

"Stopped right there, take another step and I will blow this bitch's head!" Shout the man while putting the gun on my mom's head.

"Hiii" My mom was crying , she didn't know what to do.

My sister look at my mom before lifting both of her arms, the other guy stood up and give her a punch on the face

*PA*

"Fucking slut, just way until we get to there, I will fuck your brains out!" Shout the man

while grabbing my sister from the collar.

I was stunned.

I was scared.

I didn't know what to do.

What do I do?

What can I do?

Call the cops?

Shout for help?

But maybe it will be too late by then!

I had a lot of options, but seeing the face of my sister getting punch by that guy make me feel something I never feel before, my fist were so tight that they were bleeding, but I couldn't feel the pain, because I only had one thought on my mind.

"I will kill those motherfuckers!"

"STOP!" I shout.

The two men, my mom and my sister turn around just to see a small boy of 13 something years old standing there.

"Huh? Who is that kid?"

"NOAH!?" Shouted my mom

"NOAH! Why are you here!?" Shouted my sister.

"Hey, get rid of the kid, I will this two on the van" Said one of the men while passing a knife to the other one.

"NO! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Shouted my sister.

"Shut the fuck up!" Said the other guy while using the back of his gun to hit my sister on the head.

Then he put both inside the van.

"Well, little hero, be more careful in your next life" Shout the big man while walking towards me.

I wanted to run.

My legs were shaken like crazy.

My heart was beating so fast that I could hear it.

"But I won't let anything happen to my family"

I had this thought that overlap all my fears.

"Here I go!, AHHHHHHH!" I run towards the big guy and try to kick him in the balls like my sister did.

What were the chances that a little boy could hurt a grow man with a knife on his hand, in movies the chances were 0,00001% and the protagonist always took that small chance and do it, however, in real life, the chances were 0.

The man easily evade my kick and then kick me on the stomach.

*PU*

I threw up.

"Stupid kid ,just die" Said the man while slicing his knife towards my neck.

I am going to die?

Just like this?

Without doing anything?

What is going to happen to mom and sis?

"Why? WHY I AM SO POWERLESS!"

This was the thought I had whiled the huge knife approach me.

"Power....."

Suddenly, the voice of Lara came to my ears, I felt a buzz on my body.

When I open my eyes, I saw the knife still approaching to my neck, however, there was something different this time

"Why…. Is so…. Slow?" I asked myself

The knife was moving so slow that I almost couldn't tell that it was moving, I took a look at my surrounding, everything…. Seems….

"Slow..." I thought.

"You desire power" Lara's voice came to my head, however, the voice was clearer than ever, before, I could hear her like were where talking over the phone, and she was almost out of range, however, this time, I heard her so near, that I thought she was beside me.

"Lara?"

"However, everything comes with a price"

"If....if I had this power…. Could I save my family?" I asked.

"Yes" Said Lara with a resolute tone.

"Then, no matter the cost, I want power!" I said resolutely.

"As you wish, don't regret it later" Said Lara.

I didn't know it back there, but the price for the power that Lara gave me was higher that I could ever imagined.
