Who Shin really is

"You don't know who Shin really is, do you? From the first day I've seen him I knew who he was, but seeing you, all clueless about the real identity of this young man is truly amusing."

She smiles at me and pours more tea into my cup, even though I haven't even taken a sip from it. It was still completely full and now that she poured more into it it dared to overflow.

"What do you mean by that? Isn't he just Shin? The boy who can travel through time?"

The woman laughs at my naivety as if she thinks I am completely clueless about who he really is. Now that I look at it, it sure looks like I know nothing at all.

"You really think his ability is just traveling through time? Didn't he say his ability is 'Time' itself? What makes you think he can only use the time traveling? He can do everything that has to do with time."

"How do you know that he said that to me…?"

I ask in shock, but she wasn't responding to me. She just smiles at me as if I am still a little child who doesn't know anything of the big wide world. This woman truly is scary. I don't know how she got this information but normally no one could know what Shin and I talked about, because the walls are soundproof.

"There are six cases of Cora's with the rank 0 known and Shinda is one of them. Back in the day they called him 'The time lord' because of his ability. Have you ever seen a corpse of a person that was killed by time itself? Nothing is scarier than time, because one day it will kill us all."

What was she talking about? What was she talking about the boy with the white hair that I met only a bit over a week ago? He didn't even look like he could kill someone and what does she mean with "back in the day"…?

"What do you mean by that? Isn't he only seventeen?"

"He may seem like seventeen, but who knows how long he has lived already. He only ages on this timeline, that means that he could have spent houndreds of years already just in a different time line"

I look at her for a few seconds without saying a word, to process everything she just said.

"And what does that have to do with him being in danger? What does his last have to do with this situation right now? Tell me, how can I help?"

"You two were planning to escape, right? He would do anything to succeed and that might be his end. You need to watch him… Have an eye on him and you could save him. There might be a moment when he… Acts odd. You will know what I mean when you see it. In this moment, you have to calm him down or we all could go down with him."

I don't even know how I should proceed all that information… First I find out he is more dangerous than I thought and then I find out that I might die as well if he just "acts odd".

"There is no way he could be that dangerous. He is… Just a boy…"

The women looks at me with a pitiful look in her eyes and shakes her head as if she is denying what I just said. Of course she is… I'm not sure how I can face Shinda after this talk with this women. How does she even know all that? And wait… how did she know from our escaping plan??

I'm scared… Scared of everything… Scared of this women and scared of Shin. I'm scared of dying and scared of losing him. I could never escape without his help, and I don't hate him enough to just let him die. I'm not kind, but I'm not cruel either.

I drink the tea that she prepared for me and stand up immediately. I just want to go now. I can't stay here another minute.

"Thank you for your help. I still have some things to do, that's why I'll be heading home. Thank you for the tea as well."

I didn't wait for her respond and ran away. I ran for almost 15 minutes until I start to feel dizzy. Was it because I was running the entire time? No this isn't the normal dizzy… I'm not exhausted it's more like I'm feeling dizzy in a weird way and also… sleepy…? I can't think straight- My thoughts! I need to keep my consciousness… Wake up Jinsei don't fall asleep just… The tea… it was in the tea-…

I passed out on the sidewalk before I could reach my home. The last thing I saw before I closed my eyes, was a woman who approached me when I fell down. Then it was dark in my head and I fully lost consciousness.
