The battle begins! Azu's business...

Scathach floated above the Little Garden with her spear placed on her shoulder in a casual stance.

Above her, the Planet Tortus stayed still with a visible translucent barrier that bent at one point, and that very point was where Regal was.

The whole sky above Little Garden began to change, and a sheet of paper appeared in front of Scathach. It was the gift game rules.

Scathach, Ruphas, and Azu had paid extra attention to the resistance of the Little Garden, and no matter how they looked at it, there would be interference. So, they made it a gift game, a gift game with flawed rules that in any other circumstance would be impossible.

-----------

Gift Game: The Battle to the Death

Rules:

1. Anyone besides the one who has been designated to participate can not interfere. Anyone that does offers up their soul to the host of the game.

2. Anyone who is above the tallest point of Little Garden is considered to have interfered in the Gift Game

3. The participants can only target the strongest participant present, any attack that lands on any other participant that isn't the strongest will be negated. The strongest participant may fight back.

4. There can only be four participants at a time.

5. Any dragon participants wouldn't not under any circumstances be considered the strongest participants.

-----------

The rules were made by Azu—unclear and flawed rules, but rules that would favor Scathach and Ruphas regardless.

Scathach tossed the paper away and anchored herself where she floated. Her spear Gáe Bulg glowed bright red. She took a stance and drew her hand back as much as possible, her body bent into an almost upside-down U.

Scathach took a deep breath, and instantly her aura, killing intent, and mana burst out, wrapping and condensing around Gáe Bulg, making it take an elongated star form.

The whole sky was covered in red, and even the corners of Little Garden weren't spared from having a red sky, but from a certain point, the redness stopped. The stopping point of the redness was also the highest point of Little Garden, making a rather mesmerizing scene.

Scathach let out her breath and at the same time hurled her spear, which flew to Tortus soundlessly but at a speed that was far above the speed of sound.

Regal stared at the spear heading his way, his body still wrapped in black mist. A plain black sword appeared in his hand, the sword glowed purple and began to have draconic patterns on the blade.

Regal slashed toward the spear in a slow, but unimaginably fast motion.

The scene stagnated, and the spear and sword collided tip to tip.

Regal's sword glowed bright, matching the intensity of the spear's glow and even going beyond it, and the very next moment the spear disappeared, reappearing in Scathach's hand.

Regal stared at Scathach as the black mist started to dissipate, revealing Regal whose upper clothes were gone, replaced by a thin layer of purple armor just like in Ragnarok but more majestic.

Regal looked at his sword that had the tip chipped and cracks from the collision and smiled. He tossed the sword away and formed another one casually. The sword that was tossed dissipated into black mist and just blended into the air.

He glanced at his surroundings, which were undamaged thanks to the barrier that only excluded him, and shrugged. He looked at Yue, who had her eyes gleaming in excitement, eager to watch the battle. "Yue, watch carefully and learn," he whispered, which reached Yue's ear.

Regal disappeared and appeared in front of Scathach, who stood casually. "You guys really didn't have to just bring the whole planet here to get me to fight. And just to put it in, when this battle ends, you guys will be sending Tortus back. Tortus is our vacation world; don't mess with it." Regal seriously remarked, making Scathach smile and look to the side.

"It wasn't my plan, but I wouldn't mind helping in sending it back if it's 'our' vacation world," Scathach agreed but did emphasize the 'our' part, which made Regal smile as well.

Regal was about to speak again, but sensing something, he snapped his head up, coming face to face with a literal iceberg. He dragged his sword up to destroy it, but from the corner of his eye, he saw a red glint that lunged at him. It was Scathach's spear, headed straight for his neck.

Regal loosened his grip on his sword, twisted his body, and threw a jab at the iceberg that was inches away from his head.

SHATTER!!!

THIN!!!

The sound of the iceberg shattering was immediately overshadowed by the clash of Regal's sword and Scathach's spear. The sword and the spear sparked at the place of contact and remained as such until Scathach hurled a flurry of thrusts. Regal, using the blunt side of the sword, blocked it while also keeping an eye out for Ruphas, who was nowhere to be seen.

Regal and Scathach clashed mid-air, their strikes, blocks, and counters melding into a chaotic tempo. Scathach and Regal stopped for a brief second and then continued their clash, this time at full speed.

Their figures blurred as they zoomed through the skies of the Little Garden. Suddenly, millions of weapons made out of elements formed and rushed toward Regal, who frowned at the suddenness. Seeing this, Scathach gave a heavy slash with her spear and pushed him back, making the elemental weapons have an open target.

Regal flashed back, but the whole sky was covered, making it impossible to dodge. Of course, just the elemental weapons weren't something that could do much to him, but there were millions, which might do him a bit of harm. However, that wasn't the problem. The problem was his armor stored and divided damage equally throughout his body.

Scathach and Ruphas's initial plan was simple: make Regal's armor accumulate damage to the point that it makes his soft organs, like eyes, hurt and possibly distract him for a bit, giving them a chance to accumulate more damage in his armor.

Regal's aura burst out and encased him in a ball, making a solid layer of aura around that made the elemental weapons bounce off or just stick there. The aura ball became a pincushion in a matter of moments, and the weapons kept stacking.

Scathach, on the side, had her spear ready. The spear was glowing in a deathly aura, and she prepared to launch it but paused and slashed back.

TING!!

Regal had teleported behind and slashed down, catching Scathach slightly off guard. A black feather made out of pure darkness appeared on Regal's neck, drawing blood. But Regal only tilted his head and kicked Scathach in the abdomen, forcing himself and Scathach back while making distance.

Ruphas appeared behind Regal with a sword made out of light and struck down, but Regal was prepared and backed off, also avoiding the spear that thrust at his head from the side.

Scathach, who had thrust, forcefully brought her spear down, making the body of the spear crash into Regal's cheek. But that gave Regal an opening as well.

Regal jabbed Scathach's shoulder, making a cracking sound. Ruphas slashed down, but Regal had predicted it and kicked her on the wrist while slashing her hand, cutting from her elbow down.

Regal rocketed down from Scathach's spear hitting his chest but halted right before he got to the tallest point of the Little Garden.

Ruphas and Scathach stood above as they looked down on Regal, while Regal frowned as he felt something off. "Why are you two holding back...?" he darkly questioned, but Scathach and Ruphas only looked at each other and broke into small smiles.

Regal frowned deeply but then snapped his attention to a small figure that was floating near the very edge of their sky battlefield. "Shiroyasha...? What role do you play in this..."

The one that had caught Regal's attention was Shiroyasha, one of the three problem children of the Little Garden. "A big one, unfortunately... but I am only here to see who you are and if the tales they told me of you were true... And now that I see you, I feel like your stories were watered down. You are beyond what I was told." Shiroyasha honestly praised, making Regal confused as he felt something off about her.

"And I look forward to the real battle," she stated, and instantly a barrier covered the whole of the Little Garden. The barrier even touched the edge of the sky battlefield. Then another barrier formed, this time covering the sky battlefield. The barrier pushed the planet Tortus away and made a sphere—a full sphere.

Regal stared at Ruphas and Scathach, whose power rocketed, making him feel threatened.

"Welcome to our game board," Ruphas announced, making Regal widen his eyes as he puzzled over the events.

Meanwhile, in the salamander community, Azu looked at the completely black sky. The barrier around the Little Garden blocked anyone from viewing the battle.

Shiroyasha landed beside her and looked at Azu, who had multiple screens around her. "You are a businesswoman or something...?" Shiroyasha dryly asked as she watched a screen with a number in the six digits increase each second, and it just broke through the seven-digit mark.

"What? I spent 300 million for this shit. I need to make profits to cover it up, and what better way than making the residents of Little Garden pay to watch a fight that could very likely be the biggest fight in the history of the Little Garden," Azu nonchalantly stated. She had a wide grin as she watched the number go up rapidly.

"Regal had saved up the system points, and I casually took 300 million. Now I am investing it in something that will turn that 300 million into 3 billion, and maybe even more," Azu cheekily remarked. After all, when she had said she would spend 300 million system points, she had her plans. Just brightening the planet and the barrier around the planet cost 100 million, which was more than enough for the battle, but she went a step ahead and took out an extra 200 million to buy a barrier of Little Garden that was so broken it could block omniscience.

Azu made the barrier cover the whole of the Little Garden but ensured they saw a bit of the start, which was enough to make them wary and curious. And now, due to the barrier, they could see nothing. This is where Shiroyasha comes into play. Shiroyasha offers the communities a chance to watch the battle, but at a cost—10% of the payment goes to Shiroyasha, while 90% goes to Azu, who is converting them into system points.

Azu had just made a massive profit on system points from this. "Now then, shall we watch the battle?" Azu offered as two chairs manifested.

Shiroyasha shrugged and sat down.
