CHAPTER 28

1700+ words ( because mere paper chal rahe rhe)

Anurag's eyes widened; he clutched the door with both hands.

His hands froze on the door handle, and his entire body seized in fear.

He turned his head slowly, expecting someone to be watching him, but contrary to his expectations, there was no one there.

 He cautiously moved forward and moved his head, looking around in all directions, yet the entire house remained as calm as it was before.

Suddenly, the lights went out again.

And now, Anurag, overwhelmed by fear, neither saw nor thought about anything, he quickly rushed towards Maanav.

He was taking deep breaths when Maanav said, " I'm  so sorry bhai, wo mere sir se switch dab gaya or lights on ho gayi "

(He accidentally pressed the switch, and the lights turned on.)

Anurag looked at him with mixed reactions of astonishment and anger.

He glared at him for some time and then again went towards the room, he tried to open the lock with the hair clip, Ruhi gave her.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, he sighed, khulja please khulja, tujhe teri biwi ka wasta, he said to himself and again attempted to open the lock . This time, his attempt was successful, and the lock opened.

( Open, please open, for your wife's sake).

Iski bhi biwi hai kya, biwi ka naam lete hi khul gaya saala, sab apni biwi se hi darte hai. Anurag  said to himself .

( Do they also have a wife? The moment I mentioned his wife's name, the lock opened. All People are afraid of their wives only.)

He slowly opened the latch and opened the door and entered inside. His eyes welled up upon seeing the person, lying on the bed.

After all these months, he finally found Aahan.

He ran towards him and hugged him tightly. Tears started flowing from his eyes. Due to this sudden movement, Aahan jolted out of his sleep, he looked at the person, who had hugged him and cried.

" Anurag" he said.

Anurag lifted his head and looked at Aahan.

" what are you doing here? How did you get in?" Aahan asked him.

" I will tell you later, first, let's get you out of here." Anurag said.

He called maanav and told him to come inside. Maanav came inside and became happy upon seeing Aahan, perfectly fine.

" Let's  go" Maanav said.

" First open these chains" Aahan said, indicating towards his hands .

" Not again," Anurag said.

" Let me try," Maanav said and took the hair pin from Anurag. Just in a single try, he opened the locks and freed Aahan.

With a little effort and support , Aahan got up and the three of them went out from the back door.

Maanav looked around and found out that the guards were still asleep, he went near the gate to check if it was open.

Luckily, there was no lock on the gate, he slowly opened the latch and signaled Aahan and Anurag to come.Anurag and Aahan headed towards the gate, and soon the three of them were outside the villa.

Aahan and Anurag sat in the back seat and Maanav sat in the front. Due to the rush, Aahan didn't pay attention to Ruhi, who was sitting in the driver's seat. They took a sigh of relief as they sat in the car.

No one spoke a word throughout the journey from Rubal's villa to home. Numerous questions lingered in everyone's hearts, but at the moment, no one wanted to say anything.

After reaching home, Ruhi parked the car in front of the gate

Upon reaching the villa, Ruhi stopped the car in front of the gate. One by one, everyone got out of the car. Anurag held Aahan for support, as he was not able to walk properly.

Ruhi and Raavi were behind all of them.

Anurag seated Aahan on the couch in the living room. He sat beside him and hugged him tightly.

" How are you?" Anurag asked.

" Jaisa bhi hun, tere saamne hun" Aahan said breaking the embrace.

Ruhi was still standing at the gate and was gazing at Aahan. Seeing him after so many days stirred a thousand emotions within her. She slowly took her steps forward in his direction.

When Anurag's gaze turned towards Ruhi, he signaled towards her and said to Aahan " Apni jaan se nahi milega".

Aahan shifted his gaze from Aahan and looked at Ruhi.

Looking at his face, it was impossible to gauge his emotions. He stood up from the couch and slowly approached her.

Now, Ruhi and Aahan were standing face to face.  Their eyes were locked  into each other's  .

Ruhi extended her hand forward and touched Aahan's face. It still seemed unreal to her that her Aahan was standing in front of her.

Aahan held Ruhi's hand, he looked at her stomach, and gently placed his other hand over her baby bump.

Feeling Aahan's touch, Ruhi closed her eyes, allowing the tears concealed in her eyes to trickle down. Aahan cupped her face in his hands and said, "Look at me, Ruhi."

Ruhi opened her eyes and looked at Aahan, who was looking at her in great affection.

He sat down in his knees, holding Ruhi's  hands into his, he looked at her eyes and said " Ruhi, maine jabse tumhe pehli baar dekha hai, tabse hi tum mere dil me basi ho, Itne samay me ek din bhi aaisa nahi hai jab maine tumhe pyaar nahi kia, tumhe yaad nahi kiya, tumhara naam nahi lia. Tum Sirf naam se nahi, sach me Aahan ki ruhi ho , tumahare bina mai zinda rehne ka soch bhi nahi sakta ruhi. Itna pyaar karta hun tumse ki tum soch bhai nahi sakti.  Meri ek galti ne sab barbad kar dia tha, aaj mai us galti ke liye tumse maafi maanta hun. Kya meri jaan apne is berehem badtameez pati ko ek dusra mauka degi. Mai waada karta hun ki tumhari in maasum si aankho me kabhi galti se bhi aansu nahi aane dunga. Please ruhi , please. Maaf kardo mujhe.."

( Aahan, with deep affection in his eyes, expressed, "Ruhi, since the first time I saw you, you've occupied my heart. Not a single day has passed without loving you, remembering you, or uttering your name. You're not just a name; you are truly Aahan's Ruhi. Without you, I can't imagine living. I love you so much that words fall short. My mistake ruined everything, and today, I genuinely apologize for that mistake. Will you give this heartless and arrogant husband another chance? I promise I won't let tears come into these innocent eyes of yours, not even by mistake. Please, Ruhi, please forgive me.)

Listening to Aahan's words brought a sense of peace to Ruhi. The restlessness and pain she had been carrying in her heart for the past seven months found solace today. Aahan's words had healed all her wounds.

Anurag, Raavi, Maanav, and Rishi were all looking at them with joy and affection. Today, all four of them had a different sparkle in their eyes, especially in Maanav , who was shedding tears of happiness.

She held Aahan by his shoulders, made him stand, and hugged him tightly. Ruhi, with tears in her eyes, began to speak while still holding onto him " Aahan ji, aapne bhale hi gusse me jo bhi kia , lekin aapka pyaar saccha hai, hamne bhale hi saath me jyada waqt nahi bitaya lekin itne se waqt me ham itna to samjh hi gaye ki aap hame kis had tak chahte hai. Lekin aapse dur hone ke baad hame ek baat ka ehsaas hua ki aapki chahhat ek tarfa nahi hai, ham bhi aapko utna ki chahte hai jitna aap hame chahte hai . Jaise aap mere bina adhure hai, waise hi hum aapne bina adhure hai. Aap apni Ruhi ke rooh hai Aahan ji. Hame aapse itni mohabbat hai ki, Ab ham apni zindagi ka ek pal bhi aapke bina nahi guzaar sakte. Or aapko maafi maangne ki koi zarurat nahi hai, hamne aapko usi din maaf kar dia tha jis din hame iske aane ki khushkhabri mili thi" Ruhi held Aahan's  hand and placed it over her baby bump.

(Aahan ji, whatever happened was in anger, I know that your love is genuine. Though we haven't spent much time together, but in this short time interval, I have understood how much you care for me. But being away from you made me realize one thing that your love is not one-sided; I love you as much as you love me. Just as you are incomplete without me, I am incomplete without you. You are the soul of your Ruhi. I love you so much that now I can't spend a moment of my life without you. And there's no need for you to ask for forgiveness. I forgave you the day I received the news of his arrival.)

Ruhi gently pulled away from Aahan, and looked into his tear-filled eyes. She delicately cupped his face in her hands . She stood up in her toes  and  pressed her lips against his.

In that intimate moment, both Ruhi and  Aahan closed their eyes and savoured the connection between them.

After a couple of minutes, the sound of Anurag clearing his throat brought them back to reality.

Ruhi quickly opened her eyes, distanced herself from Aahan, and began looking around.

Aahan, on the other hand, turned his gaze toward Anurag, who seemed to be intentionally avoiding eye contact.

Raavi cast off evil eyes from them and said " words won't  be enough to express how much happy I'm  to see you two back together after all this chaos It feels so good to see you both happy after so long".

Aahan made Ruhi sit on the sofa and sat beside her, all of them sat in front of them.

" now what?" Anurag asked.

" Now, whatever will happen is beyond what Rhea could have ever imagined. She attempted to separate my Ruhi from me, and she will face the consequences for that. Not only her, all those who are involved will be punished in Aahan Rajput's way" Aahan said with an evil smile over his lips.

" what's the plan?" Maanav asked.

" I'll tell, but first, inform the police that you guys have rescued me and tell  them to arrest Rubal Arora. " Aahan said.

" okay" Maanav said .

" The game is on baby" Aahan said with a cunning smile.
