she's gone......
Drihn already suspected that the reason for Layla's disappearing like that is connected to the seven islands so he sent spies to infiltrate the seven island's every clan. As soon as a suspicious movement is done he can instantly know it. He used every means for the past nine months and finally a week later he received a report and the woman's description is very much like Layla considering that her belly should be big by now.
He rush over to the said hospital in the report the spies sent. If the information is not wrong he can soon see his wife and child. That will be the happiest thing happening in the past months that Layla is not by his side. But the happiness he expected didn't come, a woman with some resemblance to Layla greeted him and ask for a chat. He didn't know the reason but he just found himself agreeing and as they walk towards the rooftop he can't help but feel nervous.
After they sat down in a bench Lei extended her hand for handshake. "Lei Jing, I'm Layla's aunt" Lei heave a sigh before she continued to talk "I don't really know how to break this news to you because even I can't believe it. " her tears started falling she can't continue to talk anymore. She sobbed until her face is all red.
When Lei started crying Drihn already got a bad feeling. He doesn't want to think, he felt empty.
"Layla, sh....she's gone" That sentence broke his mental strings. He felt surreal, this is a prank. He wanted to laugh but his tears kept flowing non-stop.
"She wanted to give you something...Hiro already went to get it. And there's somewhere I would have to bring you. " Lei guided him to the hospital nursery.
"Protect them, hide them from the jing clan It's Layla's last wish. I know you can do it I'm not like Layla that live in seclusion. You're the first Island's Patriarch, why did you hide it from her? If only you didn't...." Lei started sobbing again while pointing at a certain direction.
There are two baby lying in hospital cribs. They were already lively not a all like newborn babies. When they saw Drihn walking over while staring at them they smiled and wave their cute little hands. The space distorted slightly , sparkling lights flew and wind rose. The scene looks lively as his empty heart started to fill up. They're our little angels, Layla's proof of existence, our children.
