"Falcon, you, who have less defense and attack from behind, try not to attract Hydra soldiers' attention. Pietro, use your speed and take down as many soldiers as you can, but be careful not to get hit by bullets," said Jack.

Jack killed the Hydra leader by destroying his mind using the Mind Stone when Wanda destroyed the main building of the Hydra base. He wouldn't let the Hydra leaders live or have any chance to escape.

The new Avengers did a great job, but they weren't too happy about killing some humans, even though they knew these Hydra people were worse than the aliens who attacked New York.

Wanda and Pietro weren't as shaken up, and Bruce wasn't either because the Hulk had killed many innocents, and the Hydra soldiers this time weren't innocent. War Machine and Falcon were also used to it.

So it was the Human Torch who had the most difficulty accepting this, and Spider-Man wasn't happy to see so many people dying and felt like he didn't like these missions where they had to fight against humans.

The mission ended and Maria Hill informed the World Council, so the Avengers got on the Quinjet and headed to Germany. Hydra had a known past in Germany, with many smaller bases scattered throughout the country. They only had two large bases, but considering the size of the country and the fact that the government hadn't discovered them, it was serious enough.

They also rested in a hotel in Germany and would wait to do the mission the next day. Johnny couldn't use his powers for too long, and he still didn't feel comfortable fighting against humans. The Avengers without enhanced endurance couldn't do multiple missions in a day.

Jack held a meeting with the Avengers, and they decided to destroy one Hydra base every three days. No one complained about this decision, but everyone knew that the stronger Avengers could eliminate all the Hydra bases in a matter of days if they wanted to.

But the goal of this mission was to bring the Avengers closer together, and it was working. The Avengers were working better as a team now than in New York, and they were just beginning their missions.

Jack had the most objectives during these missions and wanted the fights to last as long as possible. After all, he wanted the Avengers to become a better group. He wanted everyone to become closer to reduce the risk of a Civil War, for Wanda and Bruce to learn to work together better, for the Hydra leaders to die, and for Jack to have more time to win over Natasha.

Jack had started to like Anna in the past, and towards the end of the relationship, he even thought he was falling in love. He was a man who believed that love would grow with the company of someone he liked.

But the fact that Anna didn't love him made him sad and diminished the feelings he had for Anna, especially because she said she didn't love him and didn't want to continue the relationship. Even so, it took Jack more than six months to get over the end of the relationship.

After several days, the Avengers attacked two German bases and successfully destroyed them. This time, at Peter's request, they tried to kill fewer people, but many of Hydra's soldiers were seriously injured even though they did not die.

Finally, Jack asked Hulk to continue destroying tanks and smaller buildings that Hydra had in the base. If the Avengers started attacking with less force, there was a high chance that people like Falcon, Hawkeye, and Black Widow could get hurt or die.

Jack continued to kill Hydra's leaders, and he would not stop doing so to make Peter and Johnny happier. Fortunately, in the future, their next fights would be against aliens, so Peter and Johnny wouldn't mind if they killed several aliens.

The Avengers took the Quinjet to Italy, where the government lent them a mansion formerly owned by a mafia boss, so they could stay until they finished off Hydra's base. Jack liked the mansion and would ask the governments to get mansions for them on their next missions.

The Avengers soon formed groups to talk to, and Jack approached Natasha. He was happy because he noticed that Natasha seemed to be interested in him too. Perhaps they would start dating soon.

"Italy is a great place. Since we're going to rest for a few days before the next mission, would you like to go with me to one of the famous restaurants in the city?" Jack said.

"I thought you said we would go out after the missions were over?" Natasha said.

"Yes, but I didn't know we would rest for a few days between missions, and we're not even entering countries disguised anymore. All the newspapers announce that the Avengers have arrived in Italy. Besides, we can't miss the chance to go to a restaurant in Italy," Jack said.

"You're right. I love Italian food. I accept your invitation," Natasha said, laughing.

The other Avengers also noticed that Jack had been interested in Natasha in the past few days. Some already knew that they had known each other for several years, and others were just curious. One person who had an unexpected reaction was Wanda.

When Wanda met Jack more than a year ago, he was dating Anna, and Wanda knew that. She had realized before Jack that Anna would break up with him when she read Anna's and Kitty's minds.

At the time, Wanda remembered not understanding why Anna did that, considering she saw that Jack was a very nice guy. She was even more sure of that after seeing Anna's and Kitty's memories of Jack. Wanda also knew that even Kitty had fallen in love with Jack.
