Monster!

The wide jaws of the Blur creature Chomped down the tasty-looking human in one go!

"What!" Lucy stared at the creature with wide eyes. 'No, no, he can't just die like that, right?' The ghost girl thought with a frown on her face.

She knew that Alucard might die one day, and the certainty that the holy church would hunt him sooner or later only proves that fact, but never in her wildest dream did she ever think he'd die this early. not even stepping out of the manor!

Lucy expression distort as realization hit her; she'll return to being alone all over again. After some horidous centuries, she finally had someone to talk to and tease, even if it was just for some time. that person, however, had just been devoured by this hideous-looking creature!

Though the weird creatures couldn't see her, she could still attack them, but she didn't do that all this while because of a certain conversation she had with Lucifer.

"Your task is to accompany him and give him information and training. nothing less and nothing more."

"So I can't assist him in a fight?"

"I advise you to try that." Lucifer scratched his cheeks."Hell needs more souls after all."

The ghost girl knew that those words had a hidden meaning: not to lend any help to Alucard except by acting as a guide and a trainer; anything more than that would result in her soul completely shattering and being consumed by Lucifer himself.

While thinking of attacking the monster and taking revenge, Lucy began noticing movement on the creature's stomach.

The strange movement on the venom-like creature's stomach caused its legs to be wobbly like jelly as it staggered like a drunk.

Then, A frozen sword burst out of its stomach; another burst out of its back; another on his heart.

The sword kept on making gashes on the creature until it was forced to puke out the cause of its pain before collapsing.

At the same time, with a loud thud, Alucard fell on the hard ground; his entire body covered in gooey substance. "Shit, I need a bath."

After seeing the state of his body, Alucard glanced to the side. Lucy's eyes glittered as she saw her partner, who appeared fine except for the sticky mess covering his body.

"Were you crying?" Alucard smirked, but he couldn't continue as the other venom-like monster who was still standing lashed his giant arm at him, hoping to crush the insect beneath him.

In a flash, Auchard slid beneath its legs to the other side, and in his grasp was a bloody spear taller than him. With the help of his vampire strength, he hurled the spear effortlessly at the creature.

**Bang**

The venom-like creature let out a high-pitched shriek as it felt the spear piercing his heart.

'Thank you, old Alucard.' The vampire shamelessly praised his old self for training. Without it, Alucard doubts if he could make a precise throw like the one he did a few seconds ago.

"Ms. Goddess, where you worried for me?"Alucard gaze didn't linger much on the monster because he could feel it; the monster wasn't a threat.

"I wasn't worried; something got into my eyes. Do you think this goddess would cry for a puny mortal like you?"

"So you were crying?" Alucard smirked as he made a deep cut on the monster's leg.

Swoooosh!

"Did you see me crying?"

"This thing is weaker than I thought." Alucard leaped into the air, and his entire arm began to spark and sizzle with a mind-boggling quantity of lightning that was palpitating as if it would erupt.

But before it could erupt, Alucard blasted the monster some meters away.

BooooOOOOM

Alucard began approaching the fallen monster. He was a bit surprised at how easy-peasy it was. If it weren't for being caught off guard, Alucard was confident that he wouldn't have ended up in a monster's belly.

Yuck!

"What are these creatures?" Alucard's facial expressions turned serious, his teasing tone was no more, and even the aura surrounding him felt serious.

Lucy squinted her eyes, a bit taken aback at how fast the mood changed. "This monster is pretty common in Freya."

"So you mean these things walk around with humans?" Alucard said sarcastically as he used his ice sword to stab the monster.

"No, they're most common in the outer lands."

"Then how did one get in here, or... did Dracula put them in here?"

"Probably."

"Such a cunning old man." Alucard smiled. 'This only makes me believe that this so-called diary must be very important.'

Alucard had a hunch—more like he was certain—that the reason Dracula placed this monster here was that. The vampire progenitor wanted to see if his son was worthy of this diary.

Family or not, Dracula was someone who valued strength, and he wouldn't allow anyone to become his successor. Rather than having a weak, pathetic son, he preferred to be without one.

Now it's not like he disliked his son or sort. Truth be told, he loved him, but the way the current Freya was a vampire was bound to die sooner or later...

So why not die trying to achieve something great here instead of dying at the hands of those filthy holy churches. Dracula's thinking was stupid, but he was also confident that none of his blood would die in here.

"Does this beast have anything special in them?" Alucard asked as he glanced at the two fallen corpses.

"Yes, these are just low-rank monsters. They should possess a mana crystal, I guess."

"You're not sure?" Alucard asked as he squatted close to the monster, and an ice dagger appeared in his grasp as he started to carve the chest of the monster.

"Did you know about the crystal being in its chest?"

"I saw a shiny thing in the chest area when I was inside the monster's tummy." As disgusting as it sounded to talk about, Alucard could only twist his face in disgust as he continued. "I figured it'd be in here."

A bit later, Alucard plucked the glowing crystal from the monster's chest. 'How did a clean crystal like this come out of this monster?'

He shrugged. He didn't have time to question how these monsters worked and quickly moved on to the next monster and did the same thing, tossing the crystals to the ghost girl to keep for him.

Done with the monsters, Lucy and Alucard walked through the door.

But the sight they witnessed left the duo speechless!
