Unlike other quirk-focused contests, this one is different since you're fighting for the glory of your homeland and the other countries who trust you as well. Remember, these trials are meant to increase the friendship between different countries, not a turf war. Keeping that in mind let's start with the introduction" the announcer said.
"we have our first contestant sailing from Africa to India, real name Omari and his Hero name Black Monk. A well-known number-one hero in Africa as a whole. Here is the thing though no one exactly knows about his quirk." Said the announcer. Omari crossed his hands and closed his eyes to pray. He looked muscular, bald, with black skin and at the age of 40 at best.
The few audience who were present clapped their hands. "Next on the list is the queen of India, top third hero of Asia And the daughter of our one and only King Neelkanth. meet Saraswathi's real name and hero name KAAGAZ RANI." As always the people cheered, even though the crowd was too small the sound of claps was big this time. I think the only reason she is third in Asia must be because of All Might. She looked beautiful with a saree of Indian culture without the dupatta, there was a tattoo on her back with scars riddled all around her body. She looked to be around 24 to 30. I clapped without knowing, she looked at me and smiled. When I tried to say hi, I noticed someone on the stand with my parents who was looking at me with menacing eyes, so I gave up the idea.
"now moving on we have number second hero of Europe. The man who challenged ALL MIGHT for a duel, the man who helped in controlling the biggest drug group in CR. The one and only James Carter, hero name SUMO WARRIOR." A few people clapped, it was as if, if the person is not the number one hero they won't care. Sumo Warrior was a huge chubby man who looked exactly like a sumo wrestler from my country Japan. His age was around 50.
"Next we have is the queen of Australia, the mix of beauty and beast. the only fully functional cyborg known to mankind. real name JK-90 hero name METAL CYBORG. " she gave the introduction for which almost everyone clapped their hands. She looked like an angel with wings and a red dot for an eye. I don't know how she was even born, I mean, they clearly say that she is a cyborg; how can a woman conceive a cyborg? Was she fucked by her home vacuum cleaner or what a TV? And what's up with her name isn't Cyborg enough?
"The Next one on the line is the woman who to date has arrested the most number of villains worldwide. Her native is Mexico but now she is the most loved hero, all over Brazil. Welcome Red Moon the number one support hero of South America. Her real name is still unknown." Everyone clapped and cheered. I think after today's match I am going to look at all the mid-grade school books to learn what is what because I don't know a lot of them. I also don't understand why a support hero is even selected for such a big event in the first place.
I looked at my parents who were waiting for my name to be pronounced On the stage. "finally, we have the youngest of them all. the child who saved the number one hero Star and Stripe all by himself. Born in Japan and raised in the US. welcome Kaneki Nagisa, hero name unknown." No one except my parents clapped, even they stopped mid-way out of embarrassment. Momo was really enthusiastic and shouted 'Go Kaneki' from her stand. I bowed and saw Salaam taking the mic from the announcement lady. "I wasn't raised in America" I murmured.
"I am here to say a few words, congratulations on winning and I hope a worthy candidate will fight me for the bronze medal. Ok, the first round will be between Metal Cyborg and Black Monk. Except for those two, everyone else leave the stage and return to your assigned waiting rooms. We will call you all one by one." He said as his 2d figure rotated right and left.
we four except Black Monk and Metal Cyborg walked out and ended up in our rooms. I stretched a bit and looked at the screen. Salaam was giving a few more instructions before the match officially started." Three, two, one" said Salaam, and both contestants waited for the other one to make the first move. Unlike other competitions, you can kill your opponent if you want. Which is giving off a lot of tension to the heroes.
After a few minutes, Metal Cyborg shouted "screw this, I am coming black monkey." She dashed through the air as her wings extended in the middle of the air. While she was charging he slightly moved forward and chanted some things. "hold" The moment he said this Metal Cyborg fell to the ground sliding through the stadium creating metal sparks on the way and screeching sounds were heard. I jumped from my seat, this was really fast, faster than All Might's Quirk. I looked at Tony who was with Katie in my preparation room "What was that quirk? You must have some data on it right.". "why do you ask ?" asked Tony sarcastically. My shoulders dropped "All right I did say that I don't need the details but that quirk looked cool. He did nothing and his opponent is on the ground. That's why I may need some details, please." I said. Tony gave me a tablet "his quirk is still unknown, but there are a few theories, the most eye-catching one is that he can erase a quirk". I know of someone who has that ability in Japan, maybe the same power but a few additions.
Salaam then returned to the mic, "That was quite the match, no injuries and fouls. Let's move on to the next person on the list. The second match will be between Kaagaz Rani and Sumo Warrior. Please come to the stage Kaagaz Rani and Sumo Warrior" he said with a cheer. The crowd applauded.
The door of our room knocked, Katie opened the room. A creamy brown woman walked into our room. She was similar to the hero in the contest 'Kaagaz Rani'. "hello" she said. tony waved his hand, Katie said politely "I think you are in the wrong room. The hero Kaagaz Rani is in the next room. Can I help her find her room" She looked at me. I nodded "Yeah help her and come back quickly the next match is starting soon" I replied and looked at the screen. "your Kaneki Nagisa right? then I think I am in the right room" she said.
