15 Ravenclaw Tower

Jack began eating to his heart's content. He piled a lot of food on his plate, unconcerned about his appearance.

*Cough* Sean coughed as he ate at a rapid pace.

"Take your time" While passing a cup of water, Jack noticed Sean had some tears in the corner of his eyes and was eating a lot like him.

"Thank you." Sean thanked him and drank the water from the cup.

Simultaneously, Jack inquired of the perfect beside him about the professors for the first years.

Lisa Turpin, 5th year perfect, smiled and replied to his question while pointing to the teachers bench in front of them. "There will be very few professors teaching classes for first-year students." She stated this first and then began talking. "Professor Dumbledore, who will teach you transfiguration, is sitting right to Headmaster Dippet. He is most popular in school and is also lenient, so if you want a favour, he is the best person to go to."

"The Vice Headmistress, Professor Green, the head of Ravenclaw and the charms professor, is to the left of the Headmaster; she is a strenuous and strict witch who expects students to follow the rules just like the Headmaster, but she isn't as radical as him. She is, on the other hand, sometimes partial to her house."

"There's Professor Herbert, the head of Hufflepuff and herbology professor. He is very particular about plants and also generous to everyone, and his gardens contain some of the most valuable and endangered plants and herbs. There is even a rumour that an important ingredient is growing up in his greenhouse, which is required for the preparation of legendary elixir of life." Lisa said in hushed tone, and Jack felt a sense of déjà vu hearing this, he also made a mental note, to find what that elixir is.

(A/N : I am not making this up, the elixir is present in Marvel comics, which is also used as an inspiration to develop the famous infinity formula.)

"Then there's Potion Professor and head of Slytherin, Professor Slughorn. Honestly, despite his bias toward the talented, he is still one of the most accomplished potion masters, so pay more attention to his classes."

"There, in the last seat in the right end is Proffesor Merrythought, she is professor of defence against dark arts and she is pretty powerful and has a wealth of knowledge in black magic." Lisa finally completed, then drank the cup of juice in one gulp.

"You don't have to worry much, the professor will be pretty lenient to the first years." Then, she said with smile, as she noticed all the freshman to listening to her.

"Thanks, senior." Jack thanked her, and Lisa nodded in response.

Soon, they finished eating and the banquet was over, with the another finishing speech of the Headmaster.

The students were escorted out of the hall under the lead of perfects.

Speaking of which, Jack was very familiar with one of the perfects.

Filius Flitwick.

He was very different from the future, so much so that Jack had to double-check to make sure it was him.

Now, Filius was leading the students up the constantly shifting staircase, which moved in a very disorderly pattern, but they were still moving at fast speed under his direction.

Finally, after a relatively long walk, the majority of which Jack walked with Sean, who, surprisingly, didn't talk much as he was in daze most of the time, only responding to him when he asked some questions. However, it was preferable than walking alone.

They came to a halt in front of a massive door with an eagle knocker, and Felius knocked it, causing the eagle to speak, asking it a riddle, which was immediately answered by over-eager Daniel Greengrass, who also had a proud look on his face as others praised him.

Well, he is indeed a cliche ravenclaw.

Then Filius came to a halt and turned to face them, preventing them from entering and beginning to speak in a solemn tone.

"Rowena Ravenclaw founded our house. She was one of the greatest witches in history; our academy's symbol is an eagle, and the element is wind. Our academy places a more importance on wisdom and wit above all other qualities, as they are required for success in the flied of magic." He spoke shorty, about the history of the house.

"Finally, keep in mind that, wit beyond measure is mankind's greatest treasure." He said it in a solemn tone, and Jack remembered liking the quote even in his previous life.

Filius also began reciting a long list of rules to them, which he cut short after seeing the expressions on his juniors' faces.

After the introduction was finished, they finally entered the lounge.

Jack took another look at the magnificent tower in front of him.

While looking around the room, he thought to himself again,

"Hogwarts is truly a magnificent place."

The walls were adorned with elegant arched windows draped in blue and bronze silks that fluttered in the breeze, through which Jack could see the stars at night shining brightly. There are also mountains in the distance that stretch as far as the eye can see, and the wind blew over the light white clouds that seemed, the whole scenery seemed quiet and peaceful.

The ceiling is a dome with stars on it, and the ground is covered in a dark blue carpet. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, bookshelves, and a white marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw in the corner.

The atmosphere in the room was calm and peaceful, with some seniors studying for classes, others playing chess, and still others meditating.

Upon seeing their arrival, those seniors simply nodded slightly in their direction and returned to their work.

While, Jack had a feeling that the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw was far from simple.

Then, Filius, who appeared to be the ravenclaw's nominal head between perfects, gave an introduction to the entire ravenclaw tower, from library to dormitory.

After, Filius announced the allotment and each dorm only allowed two people, Jack finally made it into his dorm, which was on the top floor of Ravenclaw.

Surprisingly, his roommate was Sean Miller.

There were only two beds in the room, giving it the appearance of being quite spacious; there was a table and chair near each bed, as well as a lamp. There were curtains around the bed and arched windows with a perfect view of the outside.

At 11 p.m, Jack closed his books and turned off the lamp, while glancing over at Sean, who was already asleep in the bed next to him.

Sean was not what he thought him to be; he is simply cautious and does not trust anyone easily. He discovered this through simple observation of him while discussing the schedule of classes for tomorrow with him earlier.

Well, he must have had a difficult life if he has such a personality, and he did not foolishly inquire about his life when he only met him today. And, these are just his guesses.

He finally turned off the lamp and closed his eyes to sleep, looking forward to the next day.

His new life had begun at Hogwarts!
