The Tournament

As they arrive in front of the stadium, Kojiro, Yasaka, Sakura, and Kunou follow the guard and lead them to the VIP room. After a few seconds of walking, they arrive in front of a double door with two ninjas guarding the entrance. He nods at the guard as they open up the door to their room. As they walk inside the room, Kojiro looks around and sees many beverages and snacks that have already been prepared for them.

He smiled a little as Kunou and Sakura dash to the couch that was already prepared by the organizer of the tournament. He and Yasaka slowly walk toward the couch while taking some drinks and snacks on the way.

After waiting for at least two minutes, he sees a man with short brown hair, dark-colored eyes, and dark markings under his eyes. He also wears his forehead protector as a bandanna around his head.

The man stands in the middle of the field like he is waiting for someone. A second later, he sees young people walk toward the field, and he can see some of them are nervous with the people watching them, especially the blonde young man with a whisker on his face.

"I will go over the rules once again, just to make sure you guys didn't miss anything from the second round of the exam *cough* As you probably already know, the third test is a tournament-style combat exam that will be carried out over two days *cough* Each fight will take place in this arena, which has been designed based around the most common places shinobi would often do battle with one another *cough* it will allow you to fight however you please. No area in here is out-of-bounds, so go nuts *cough* Just try to keep the audience out of it."

Hayate Gekkō looks at the participant in front of him before nodding his head.

"Remember, the whole world is watching you. All these people *cough* that coming here today to see your best and judge your skill. Give them the best show *cough* they ever witnessed and showed them why you are here on the big stage."

The moment Hayate finishes his speech, the audience begins to applaud. When the applause stopped, Hayate gestured his hand at the massive monitor positioned in the stadium before saying.

"In case you forgotten, This is the lineup for today's fight."

~Match 1: Naruto Uzumaki vs. Neji Hyūga~

~Match 2: Gaara of the Sand vs. Sasuke Uchiha~

*15 minutes break*

~Match 3: Kankurō of the Sand vs. Shino Aburame~

*15 minutes break*

~Match 4: Temari of the Sand vs. Shikamaru Nara~

After displaying all the names of the finalists, the screen then shows a picture of Naruto and Neji on the screen.

"First fight, Naruto Uzumaki against Neji Hyūga. For the other contestant, please walk away front the arena."

Kojiro looks at the people walking away from the arena. The only people still inside the arena are Naruto, Neji, and Hayate.

"Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyūga. Ready…. Fight!"

He looks at Naruto immediately and leaps away from Neji, which makes his eyebrow raised as he doesn't remember Naruto doing this strategy in the canon. However, he ignores it as he chooses an alternate universe all together to watch this tournament peacefully.

After leaping away from his enemy, Naruto begins to create a hand seal, and then suddenly, many clones of himself appear around him.

"Hmph, You think with numbers you can beat me? It's your fate to be defeated. Surrender now so you will not face humiliation."

"Hah bastard, you think I will give up like that? My name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I promise Hinata-chan to give some sense into you your thick head, and I never back down from my word because it was my ninja way, you know."

Kojiro looks at Naruto twenty of Naruto clones begin to charge at Neji while fifteen of them standstill near the original. As the clone surrounding Neji, Naruto begins to do a hand seal making Kojiro lean closer to the window in interest.

While the clone is distracting Neji with their number and also a kunai they throw at Neji, Naruto finishes his hand seal, and suddenly, the clone leaps away from Neji as Naruto releases his Jutsu.

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough"

Coming from Naruto's mouth is a great gust of wind that blows everything on its way, including Neji.

"Fascinating"

"Oh?"

"That young man gathered a good amount of chakra around his stomach then expelled it from its mouth, making a powerful gust of wind. I never knew it could be used like that. I usually use it to empower my senjutsu."

"Do you want to try it?"

"Yes, but I'm more fascinated with that hand seal the young man using before using his Jutsu."

"Hmmm, I will try to obtain one of those hand seal instructions."

"Really"

"Yup"

"Thank you, Kojiro-kun."

Kojiro looks at the arena once more and sees Neji already get up after getting thrown away by Naruto Jutsu. Seeing Neji standing, Naruto then summons another army of clones before doing another hand seal.

Seeing Naruto do the hand seal, Neji begins to charge at Naruto. However, Naruto only smirks at Neji as he sees his enemy charging at him. When Neji almost reaches him, another clone appears from above and tries to grab his hand. However, before they can grab it, Neji immediately stops and begins to spin around, creating a dome made of chakra, destroying all the clones that come at him. When he stops spinning, Neji tries to mock Naruto. However, before he could open his mouth, the original Naruto appeared near him, and before he could react, Naruto already punched him in the stomach.

"Wind Release: Whirlwind Fist"

As the fist connected at its target, it created a shockwave and then sent Neji toward the wall.

"This is not a fight."

"Yeah"

Kojiro agrees with Yasaka's assessment. The event that is currently happening in front of him is not a fight but rather a beatdown, Naruto beating down Neji that is. Not only Neji cannot see the difference between Naruto and his clone, but Naruto also has a more appropriate fighting style for himself. Kojiro thinks it was Jiraiya that trained him more seriously than he does in the canon timeline.

He then looked at Naruto once again and sent another wave of clones at Neji, who was struggling to keep up with the high number of clones. When Neji uses his Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven to block the clones that come from all the directions, Naruto and his clone begin to leap away from him, making his Jutsu useless as it doesn't hit any of Naruto clones and the original. After Neji finishes spinning, Naruto and his clones begin to charge at Neji once again and overwhelm him with the sheer number.

This continues for at least 15 minutes as Naruto continues to bombard Neji with all his clones and also his Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique, making Neji use his Kaiten once again to protect him from Naruto barrage.

After the last wave finished, Kojiro can see Neji has difficulty standing up as he has run out of chakra inside his body while Naruto still has a massive amount of chakra inside his body.

Seeing the opportunity, Naruto begins to charge at Neji and begins to beat him down using his fist. He continued to beat Neji using his fist before stopping, as Neji says.

"You are within my range."

Neji then takes a stance before saying.

"Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, Two strikes."

However, as Neji strikes Naruto in front of him, 'Naruto' explodes, leaving only white smoke.

"What?"

Neji then suddenly looks behind him and sees Naruto already point his kunai at Neji's throat. Neji tried to leap away, but sadly, for him, another naruto poke the back of his neck with kunai.

"You lose."

Kojiro then sees Hayate appear behind them and says,

"Winner Naruto Uzumaki!"

After Hayate says that, the audience begins to roar and applause at the fight.
