Ah... the feeling of loss, not in battle or fight, but the loss of someone special. Have I experienced it? It feels as though I have, but the memories remain elusive. Who was the person I lost? Was it a woman or a man? A best friend, a girlfriend, or perhaps something even more profound? I have witnessed countless deaths, caused the demise of countless others, knowing that the same fate awaits me. Yet, it still hurts.

As the flames engulfed Bell's body, his skin began to peel and blister. Tears mixed with sweat streamed down his face, now erased by the relentless fire. Tears of blood replaced them, tracing blood paths down his burned cheeks.

Minutes passed, and Marc finally arrived at the orphanage. However, as he approached the scene, the fire had faded, leaving behind a haunting silence. All that remained were the burnt remnants of the orphanage and Bell, kneeling on the ground, his body bleeding and battered. Despite the absence of emotion in his eyes, Bell mustered the strength to push himself up and slowly walk toward the orphanage door.

Marc's eyes widened with a mixture of sorrow and relief. "Bell!" he called out, rushing to his side. With great effort, he caught Bell and placed him on his shoulder. Together, they moved toward the door, their footsteps heavy with weariness. Marc grasped the doorknob and turned it, finally opening the door. The spell is gone.

Upon entering, Bell and Marc scanned the inside of the orphanage, searching every corner, every room. The kitchen, the living area all were no signs of the children being consumed by the fire. A sigh of relief escaped their lips, but their relief was short-lived. As they opened the door to the sleeping room, their worst fears came true before their eyes. They stood frozen, gazing upon a pile of burned skin and bones. It appeared that the children had chosen to huddle together under blankets as their final act of desperation.

Bell's teeth clenched, his fists trembling with a mixture of anger and grief. Marc, overcome with tears, shared the same emotions.

Bell's body finally regenerated, the burned marks and damaged skin healing, but his heart remained scarred. He took a glance at Marc and silently left the room, seeking some peace in the air.

When his gaze met Marc's, he saw emotions filled with bloodlust and thirst for revenge. Bell decided to give Marc and the children some space, understanding that Marc had known the kids longer and shared a special bond with them.

A heavy burden of guilt weighed upon Bell's shoulders as he contemplated his own existence and the reincarnation.

"what if everything bad wouldn't have happened if I wasn't reincarnated..."

Bell found himself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts, grappling with the uncertainty of what he and Marc should do next. Should they seek outside help? Countless questions flooded his mind, leaving him feeling overwhelmed and confused. He closed his eyes, attempting to center himself, and recalled the ability he had acquired in his past life the skill to read lips. While he may have lost his magical abilities, those learned skills remained intact. In his previous life, Bell had mastered various techniques and disciplines, including lip-reading, hand signs, martial arts, and swordsmanship, among others.

"Gohn...," he muttered under his breath, a name that ignited a fire within his determined gaze. Bell refused to let a rich scummy person like Gohn ruin his life and trample upon his existence. After all, he was known as the greatest mage of all time, and he would not stand idly by.

With his resolve solidifying, Bell made his way back to the orphanage. While walking back, he pondered the possibility of using resurrection or revival magic on the children. However, a formidable obstacle stood in his path the attainment of full resurrection.

Ordinary, weaker forms of revival or resurrection magic could only bring someone back to life momentarily, transforming them into a fleeting, zombified state for a mere two seconds before reducing them to ashes. Moreover, the failed caster would pay a heavy price, losing 90% of their lifespan.

Bell sighed, well aware that his current form and power were nowhere near sufficient to perform full resurrection or even revival magic. As he stepped into the orphanage, his eyes widened at the sight of an unknown elderly man standing before Marc's unconscious body. There was no trace of blood, but Bell's anger ignited, propelling him forward with an attack, utilizing his skill, Dark Claw. He relentlessly attempted to strike the old man,

but to his frustration, the man gracefully dodged every clawed swipe and effortlessly seized Bell's right arm. However, a flicker of intrigue showed in the old man's eyes as he muttered, "Hoh..." while sporting a faint smirk.

In a swift motion, Bell's body twisted 180 degrees, causing his right arm to snap, while his left hand came dangerously close to the old man's face, halted only by the old man's other hand, which used his middle and index fingers to stop the Dark Claw.

Despite the setback, the old man appeared impressed. He let out a sigh and addressed Bell, "Calm down, he's not dead or anything. He was already lying on the ground when I arrived. It seems he fell asleep." Bell's eyes still harbored suspicion toward the old man, but realizing his current powerlessness, he released a resigned sigh, maintaining a gaze filled with an aura of lethal intent.

" Who are you, and what are you doing here."

Both Looked at each other's eyes, no signs of the both of them showing weaknesses. The old man was impressed.
