First Blood

"Let the fun begin." Zed said as he rushed out of the shadow and stabbed the old man in his right leg.

"Aggh! You son of a bitch! Do you know who I am? Do you know the identity of my young master? Let me tell you, his surname is Borlan!" the middle-aged man yelled as he kept turning around, watching the shadows.

"Then I should pay a visit to the Borlan family, no?" Zed said with a chuckle. His laughter was enough to send shivers down the young master's spine.

"You're fast, boy, I'll give you that, but you don't stand a chance against the Borlan Family guards!" the man said as he tried to stab one of the shadows close to him. Right after his attempt, a head popped up behind the man, stabbing him in his right shoulder.

"If they can't sense me, they can't catch me, old man." Zed said, pulling out his dagger and disappearing into the shadow.

"Argh, fucking hell!" the man exclaimed, swinging his dagger behind him in an attempt to catch Zed.

"I'm sorry, sir, please don't hurt us!" the young master said, sweating profusely.

"Don't beg for mercy, young master. He can't take me down!" the man said angrily, still searching for Zed.

"Oh, I already did. You're already poisoned. I was just having fun, to be honest, and didn't want to rush it. But if you wish to die quickly, I can make it happen." Zed said as he appeared right behind the young master and rested his dagger on the young master's neck.

This time, the man could clearly see Zed's face, or rather, he could see the mask created by shadow. Zed's eyes were glowing red as the shadow mask on his face swayed left and right. The mask was pitch black, with only openings for his red eyes.

"Dark Energy user! I thought the techniques were destroyed after the second demon invasion. How could you wield that power?" the man stared at Zed with shock in his eyes. While he was hiding inside the shadows, he couldn't detect the energy Zed was releasing. But now that he was out of the shadow, the man could easily detect the dark energy radiating around Zed.

"You! How do you have the power of darkness?" the man couldn't resist asking straight away.

"Oh, that? Haha, it's god-given, I'm afraid," Zed said, laughing. 'Looking at his reaction, this darkness power must be really powerful.'

"Alright, let's cut to the chase. Get on your knees and beg for mercy a hundred times." Zed said, signaling for the man to obey his command.

"You're biting off more than you can chew, boy." the man said as he grasped the dagger.

Zed was smiling until he heard the man's words. The moment his words reached Zed's ears, he activated the poison.

"I've warned you." Zed said before turning to look at the young master kneeling on the ground and begging for the hundredth time. After finishing his sentence, the young master raised his head and looked over at the man who was lying on the ground while black smoke was coming out of him.

"Uncle Chen..." the young master said before a few tears dropped.

"Aww, you're making me emotional." Zed said as he sat down on his bike and leaned a little backward.

After hearing Zed, the young master wanted to kill him, but he knew that with one move, he could die.

"Alright, I'm outta here. I don't know what you're going to tell your father, but if you try to mess with me again, the Borlan family will perish without exception." Zed said slowly so that the dumb guy in front of him could understand what he was saying. After getting a nod, Zed started his bike's engine and rushed out from the parking area.

With the time he spent at the shopping mall, it was almost afternoon, and Zed wasn't feeling any tiredness, probably because of his new physique. But to think that there were cultivators in the world was mind-blowing for him. He had never heard or seen any cultivators until today.

'That means money can't protect me, but the shopping from the system will protect me; rather, it will help me conquer the world.' Zed said as he smirked under the bike's helmet.

Zed wasn't going home, but he was going to buy some cars for himself. He still couldn't understand why the system gave the mansion and bike to him when he had the ability to buy the company producing them. His main reason for going to buy a car was that the cars were expensive enough for him to quickly gather coins. Seeing and feeling this power made him crave for much more.

After ten minutes of riding, he arrived at the dealership. The dealership he came to was obviously the one selling expensive cars. Regal Motors was one of the few dealerships that sold millions of dollars worth of cars. Normally, Zed couldn't even afford to work there, but now he was here to buy.

Parking his bike and walking inside, he was greeted with mind-taking luxury decorations. Golden lamps, carved pillar designs, and many more.

Then something drew his attention, and he looked at the person in front of him. The girl had blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a black top and a mini skirt underneath. Her leggings were short and a little above her knees, making her skin visible to anyone looking at her. Zed admired her beauty and scanned her body with his eyes. While he was admiring her, a cough pulled him out of his dream.

Raising his head, Zed saw the girl blushing.

"My name is Irina. How may I help you, sir?" she said with a professional attitude, trying to forget the embarrassing moment. She didn't like wearing these things at all, but if she wanted to feed hungry mouths at home, she must work here. Constant harassment with eyes coming from rich, fat people made her nauseous. But this time she felt embarrassed because the guy in front of her was close to her age. Her mind raced with thoughts as she helped Zed walk around.

Zed walked inside the dealership and inspected every car. Then he turned around and said.

"I'll be buying them all." Those words pulled Irina out of her dreams.

"Excuse me, sir?" she said, thinking she heard wrong.

"All the cars you have, I'll buy." Zed said, pulling out his card. At that moment, he accidentally dropped his Coral Shopping Center membership card. Before he could even pick it up, a man in his thirties bent over and took the card. Zed said thanks and reached out to take his card back, but the man looked at the card carefully.

"Which family do you belong to, boy?" the man asked, raising one of his eyebrows. There shouldn't be people who have this membership card that he doesn't know, but this guy was a stranger to him, not because of the mask but because his eyes, hair, and body type were all different from people he knew.

"Who's asking?" Zed asked back with a tilted head. Then the man looked at the boy, trying to intimidate him, but the boy in front of him didn't even flinch.

"I'm asking as the owner of this dealership." the man said as he watched the boy's reaction, but to his surprise, the young man had no reaction; rather, he seemed... happy?

"Oh, is that so? Well, I don't belong to any family, you know. Atlas is my surname. I doubt it rings a bell." Zed said with a smile that was visible even with the mask he was wearing.

"I do know one Atlas family, but I don't think they would be here anytime soon," the man replied as he handed over the card.

"I heard you talking just now. You want to buy all the cars we have, correct?" the man said as he stepped closer.

"Yes, that's exactly what I said. I want to buy every one of the cars you have, if possible, with the most expensive options." Zed said, looking directly into the man's eyes.

"There are a total of 200 cars in our hands. At least 50 of them will cost you $100 million, and you want all of them? That will be close to $400 million. You said most expensive options? I can get you that. License plates, insurance, and all the other expenses will cost you around $800 million dollars. Are you sure about this, young man?" the man said in one breath, not giving any chance for Zed to speak. But the moment he finished talking, Zed's eyes sparkled. $800 million means 8,000 coins! The things he bought with 250 coins were already insane. Now, think about buying with 8,000 coins.

Zed lost himself in excitement, and he just kept shaking his hand, which was holding his card.

The owner of the dealership looked at him with questioning eyes. He just gave an estimated amount. If they were to calculate slowly, it'll probably be a hundred million dollars cheaper. What makes him worried is that the young man in front of him didn't back down when he heard the amount, but he got so excited that he was drooling right now.

Irina, on the other hand, had already lost in her thoughts. That amount of money was crazy. Something she wouldn't be able to see in a lifetime. Then she snapped back, remembering something crucial. Is he really going to buy all of it?

"Can we handle the payment now, then we will finish the paperwork?" Zed said, still drooling.

"If you want that so much." the owner of the dealership said as he signaled to Irina. She then entered the amount on the POS and extended it towards Zed. Zed then swiped his card. Everyone inside, except Zed, was waiting for the response of insufficient balance or payment declined, but the answer of the POS terminal shocked all of them.

** Payment Successful **

Owner of the dealership lost his balance for a second before collecting himself.

"8.. 80.. EIGHT HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN THE FREAKING DEBIT CARD!!!!?"
