2 Chapter 2-Dual Wielding

As the mysterious voice faded away light came back to my vision and I found myself in a completely white room.

"Welcome Player to World of Infinity" I heard a feminine voice behind me so I turned around. What I saw was the last thing I was expecting, in front of me in the air was a small beautiful girl with wings on her back. Her beautiful blonde hair and natural green eyes along with her white knee-length dress were the most beautiful things I had ever seen in my life.

"Who are you and Where are we," I asked in an authoritative voice turning my head from side to side, successfully hiding the blush that appeared on my face from the lewd thoughts in my head.

"I am the personal fairy assigned to you for your questions for the duration of your stay in our world and for your second question we are currently in the tutorial lobby. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask and I will try my best to give you the answers but please keep in mind if you don't have enough privilege for the answers I will be unable to respond." She responded with an emotionless voice.

"Now please say 'status' and let's proceed"

I stood there for five minutes and observed my Status with calm unflinching eyes for this would be how my life in this world starts. There were a few things that I had no idea the meaning of and who better than the one assigned to me to answer my doubts?

"I've got a few questions...."

I turned around to ask my personal fairy stopping midway with the realization that I didn't know her name.

"and by the way do you have a name"

I issued another question while she stared at the blue transparent screen that displayed my status with utter shock on her face.

"I've got my own questions too and no I don't have a name"

she responded after snapping out of the shocked state she was in.

"do you mind me giving you one then"

"not really I don't see why not"

"ok then I'll call you Stella"

I smirked as a light blush formed on her cheeks and she stuttered out

"I-I th-think I might like that"

"OK back to business, what is Magic affinities and why does it say unawakened"

I asked Stella in a serious tone to indicate my full attention on the matter at hand.

Stella noticing the seriousness in my voice mirrored my seriousness and answered.

"in the world of infinity, 95 percent of people can use magic and there are different ways in which magic can be used. There are 10 main elements, 13 discovered elements with an unknown number of unique elements yet to be discovered. The reason why you don't have access to your affinities is because you are required to be level 10 and past the tutorial to awaken them at the magic temple in any city"

I nodded my head absorbing and understanding the information, committing it to memory.

"OK and what are Unique Traits, please explain mine"

"Before that answer my questions. what's going on with your stats not to mention your mastery and passive skills"

She asked exasperatedly. I stood there staring at her not understanding what was wrong so I asked her.

"What are you talking about, what's wrong with my stats and skills"

She sighed frustratedly seeing the genuine confusion on my face.

"Sigh... From what we know about humans from Earth the max stat is 10 but yours are past that and some are double even triple that, what's even more confusing is your masteries, from what we know there are no monsters, and no wars in your world why do you have such high mastery for combat and what the hell did you go through to have those resistances"

I raised my eyebrow at her choice of words but decided to ask her about it later. After contemplating the reasons for her confusion I replied.

"SO what you're saying is I'm currently stronger than all the players starting the game stat-wise, that's good to know," I said with a smug look on my face, her eyes bulged at the implication of my statement but I continued before she had the chance to say anything. "As for the masteries, they were just a hobby nothing more"

I decided that she didn't need to know about those sad years of my life so I technically didn't lie.

"And for the resistances, they are just a bonus from my training, so can you answer my question now"

After dropping one bombshell after another I gave her some time to snap out of her frozen state with a playful smile on my face.

after noticing the smug look in my eyes Stella clicked her tongue.

"humph...you did that on purpose didn't you, why did I have to get stuck with you? To answer your question, unique traits are exactly that, passive or active abilities that are unique to a single individual throughout the entire world of infinity and yours just makes it easier for you to learn and create skills on your own"

A wide smile hung on my lips thinking about all the martial techniques I know that can most likely be turned into a skill.

"That definitely sounds like it will be a lot of fun, anyways now that the Q and A is over what's next" I asked her ready to start the tutorial.

With her hands folded she said. "you will need to pick a weapon to proceed"

A change happened in the room and weapons started appearing one after another until every weapon was visible from swords and spears to bows and even a staff, with a smile on my face I felt right at home. I walked around the room looking at all the weapons I was familiar with, except one, a staff with an orb at the top which I assumed was used for magic. I then stopped at a specific spot among the swords. There in front of me was a katana, a weapon that felt more at home in my hands than any other.

I turned to Stella who was following me around and asked.

"Can I dual wield?" A simple but very important question.

"yes just take a weapon and another will take its place you just need to take it up again but you must have the required amount of dexterity for that weapon"

There was excitement on my face as I grabbed the handle of the katana and waited five seconds before another one took its place and with my other hand I grabbed it too.

As if noticing that I'd made my choice the weapons started disappearing one after the other in a domino effect starting from where the katana was, until the room was empty once more.

I started swinging my sword around the room doing the different stances to get used to them and after 5 minutes I came to a stop and took a deep breath to calm myself down.

"How do I put them away?" I asked Stella as I didn't want to walk around with the Katanas in my hand.

"Just imagine them disappearing and they will enter your inventory" She replied

Once I was calm I imagined the katanas disappearing from my hand and they did just that while I somehow got the feeling that there was a room as large as a mansion that I could store and control anything in it.

"I'm ready let's begin the tutorial"

As if on queue a blue portal appeared behind me and without a second thought I stepped into the portal.
