1 Chapter 1-It begins

Just beautiful were the flames surrounding me, burning and changing color, moving with my hands as I danced within them. The flames were moving with me like my lover in a romantic dance, we moved together like we had the strongest connection.

"Come to us"

I freeze in my steps as I hear a small cute female voice that soothes me, from within the flames that call out to me.

"Who are you..... where must I go" I reflexively responded waiting to hear the voice again only to hear nothing as my vision slowly darkened.

~yawn~

I opened my eyes to the very familiar fiery red roof over my head with a flame-colored crystal chandelier and just the sight of it makes me feel calm and at home.

I slowly sit up on the bed and look to the side to find my personal maid standing there staring at me with a jovial smile.

"Good morning young Master, how was your rest, did you have the same dream again? Would you like me to get the bath ready for you?" she asked question after question repeatedly without giving me the chance to answer as she does every morning.

I slowly got off the bed and walked towards her slowly with a smirk on my face and a mischievous glint in my eyes.

She started walking backward with the joyful smile completely gone and a frightened look on her face, and with every step she took back I took one step forward making her feel even more afraid.

"Y-yo-young master what are you planning to do, please don't come any closer"

We continued like that until she hit her back against the wall and a cute yelp escaped from her mouth.

I was an inch away from her, I could feel her heavy breathing on my face. I placed my head on her shoulder with my nose rubbing against her neck. I took a deep breath in, getting a good smell of her body's fragrance that I loved so much. We spent a good minute like that in silence before I spoke up.

"First you keep calling me Young Master even when I've told you repeatedly to call me Lucas when we are in private, second of all do you want to join me in that shower you mentioned earlier and lastly my sleep would have been better if you were in bed with me."

I answered each of her questions with a smirk as I enjoyed the blush creeping from her neck to her face making her look like a cute strawberry ripe for the picking. I leaned up and walked towards the bathroom with a flustered Sade walking behind me with unsteady steps with her head down trying to hide her face with her hair.

Entering the bathroom I made a sudden stop and she bumped into my back.

"What is your little innocent mind thinking about that you can't watch where you are going."

"Stop teasing me Lucas" she replies folding her arms with the cutest pout pretending to be upset but the redness on her cheeks made her look more adorable.

I walked further into the bathroom stopping at the changing area. With her hands still folded, she watches me until I stop moving and approaches me to start removing my clothes. In less than a minute I was standing in nothing but my underwear and watched as she left the room to wait outside with a change of clothes.

I take a quick shower as I think of my plans for the day which I was excited about. Today is the day when I start a new life in a new world. A famous VRMMO game was coming out today, the very first of its kind. A mysterious company named Azure Games came out of the blue a couple of weeks ago, heavily promoting the game boasting of its high level of realism and that it would be like a second world for humans. Followed by a coin-UC exchange coming to the game two months after its launch.

This made all the major families and businesses across the world invest large sums of money into creating Guilds, workshops and recruiting famous gamers to work for them and try to get a head start on their rivals in the game.

My family, The Carmicheal, and their company were no exception to this event as all the descendants were instructed to get a head start in the tutorial for the family. Even I, the outcast, abandoned and last son was given expensive VR gear and told to just do whatever I wanted in that world and that was exactly what I planned to do.

After exiting the shower and being dressed by a blushing Sade as I teased her, I headed to the only part of my day that I hated, Breakfast. After being ordered by my father that it's the only thing I must do within this family.

I stopped before the big double doors that leads to the dining room, I could hear small chatter through the door. I took a deep breath preparing my mind for what was about to happen. I pushed the door open and immediately the room became silent with everyone looking at me with hatred in their eyes for different reasons.

I walked in and headed towards the only empty seat at the far end of the table with all eyes on my every move as if I were a criminal on death row. As I reached my seat and sat down everyone went back to what they were doing and talking to who they were talking to.

I ate my favorite breakfast which was French toast with bacon and eggs, After finishing with some orange juice I got up and the room was once again silenced as I made my exit. The double doors closed behind me, I looked at the line of servants to the right of the door.

"Sade lets go we don't have much time left my new world awaits me"

"yes Young Master"

On my way towards my room, I told Sade to go get her gear and meet me in my room, now all alone I continued my short walk back to my room and as I passed by the different servants I could see the disdain in their eyes, I could hear the hate in their voice as they talked about me behind my back not even caring if I could hear them or not.

"How does he walk with his head up"

"Exactly doesn't he know he is the disgrace of this family"

"If I was him I would have crawled into a corner and died already"

I ignored them and continued walking.

Arriving at my room, Sade was there waiting for me with an angry look on her face.

"What is wrong my little cutie, what made you upset," I asked her with a teasing tone to my voice.

"They keep talking bad about you, I know you hear them it's not like they try to hide what they think, why aren't you upset and angry." She half shouted and half pleaded.

"Who said that I'm not upset, who said that I'm not pissed, who said I don't want them to eat their words and humiliate them for humiliating me, I hate the look they give me, I hate how they talk about me like I don't matter."

The more I talked the angrier and louder my voice became and the more she got scared looking at the raging fire in my eyes. I saw the frightened look on her face and my rage immediately disappeared. I apologized and grabbed her hand pulling her in my room.

I released her hand, walked up to the full-body mirror on the wall, and stared at my reflection as I have done after breakfast for as long as I can remember. What stared back at me was a light-skinned 6"1 inches eighteen-year-old teenager with white shoulder-length hair and Crimson red eyes. My body was fit as I trained in multiple martial arts and weapons training.

I had started them in hopes of getting my family's attention as I had no talent or interest in learning business as the rest of my family did but as I grew to realize that nothing would be enough for them I fell in love with my training and continued.

After staring at my reflection I said my motto.

"May the flames be with you and guide you on your path."

I got my gear ready and lay in my bed with the VR helmet on my head waiting for the clock to strike 12 as the official launch of the Game was noon and it was 11:57 on the clock by my bed.

"You can join me on the bed while you play the game just set up your gear and lay beside me."

She blushed at my statement and fumbled as she made her way to the other side of the bed with me chuckling at her reaction to the lewd thoughts I knew were flashing in her mind.

After two minutes she was finished setting up her headset and was lying next to me with the helmet on her head waiting for the game to start. We lay there awkwardly for a minute until the helmet lit up with white light and I slowly started to see the darkness.

[Welcome to the world of Infinity]

An emotionless and mechanical voice said.

[A world where you can be free and make decisions you want]

"That sounds like a world I would love, who are you"

[An Infinite world, infinite decisions, infinite possibilities, infinite rewards, infinite directions]

"You are making me love this world more and I haven't even seen it yet"

[We wish you the best of luck and hope you have fun]

"I plan to do just that and i'll make all those who looked down on me and my flames regret it. I'll show my family that I have worth and when I'm powerful I'll leave them all and start my life elsewhere."

The game hadn't started yet after the intro and I was still staring at the darkness waiting for something to happen.
