The Great Ones

Nalin and Vered on his back quickly made their way deeper into the forest and realised that there was a barrier. Of course, it was a barrier that would be powerless to stop the likes of Nalin or Vered, and so the duo moved through it with ease.

Suddenly Vered transformed and began to move towards the sky and roared incredibly loudly:

"ROAAAAAAAAAARRR!!!!"

The roar was so loud and powerful that the barrier they had used to get in began to fill with cracks. Vered was eager to be loved by his master, so he wanted to clean up the mess and leave this place as soon as possible.

As the loud noise spread everywhere inside the barrier, some faces came out of the castle in the centre of the barrier. A few human-like Harpies, a few pig men, a few lizard men and a few fox men and women began to fly towards the sky.

Then a 7-tailed fox man wearing a crown leaned down and asked, "Have we done something wrong against Lord Dragon?"

At that moment, Vered's thick voice was heard: "You have wronged not me, but my lord! You are fortunate that my master did not order you all to be exterminated! BRING OUT THE PERPETRATORS!"

Hearing these words caused all the monsters watching Vered to speak, albeit with fear in their hearts. Vered's look alone was a clear indication of his great lineage. It was unbelievable that such a dragon had a master, and that this master was even in the most ordinary region, the Mortal World. What idiot could have angered such a being?

"Please tell us what those bastards look like, I swear to you we will give them all to you! Just please don't take innocent lives!" The 7-tailed fox suddenly prostrated itself as if in supplication and spoke.

"THIRTEEN BEARS, THAT'S ALL WE KNOW ABOUT THEM!" shouted Vered, and with that every single monster that had left the castle stared at the dragon in disbelief. Noticing these stares, Vered suddenly shouted "Do you know who they are?!" and then each monster pointed to a region.

The gazes of Vered in the sky and Nalin on the ground suddenly turned to the pointed area, and then Vered's voice was heard once again:

"Sister, what should I do?"

After this question, all eyes turned to the tiger standing on the ground, that is, Nalin, what he would say would determine the fate of each of them.

"Don't let a single living creature come out of the specified area, destroy it." Hearing Nalin's words, Vered suddenly moved and started to accumulate his power in his body, coming towards the west of the castle. A high fire qi began to gather in the area and the monsters began to feel as if they were burning alive.

Then an azure light flashed in Vered's throat and an azure fire spread outwards from his mouth. As the fire ravaged the marked area, there was not even a sound of screaming because everything that existed had already been burnt to ashes. It was as if they had ceased to exist.

"Enough." Vered was using his fire qi with all his might and projecting blue flames onto the earth, when suddenly, at the words [enough] from his sister Nalin, he stopped abruptly and began to meekly descend back towards the earth. The monsters who saw what was happening could not believe their eyes, each of them was filled with fear, and each of them was literally unable to breathe. It was as if the blue flames were telling them to kill themselves.

"Your high majesty tiger and dragon, may I please ask how they angered the great lord?" the 7-tailed fox man suddenly asked, his eyes filled with fear, but he still wanted to know why.

"Sir, a few hours ago a fox rescued a woman, her belly was full of holes and her wound was very deep. Those bears I destroyed were the ones who did this to her. My master wished them to be destroyed, and we have done it." As Vered said this, the 7-tailed fox man's eyes opened wide, and as tears fell from his eyes he said, "Sir....she is my daughter."

Hearing these words, Nalin and Vered could not help being surprised. Could it be a father who had given up on his daughter? Or a father who wanted her to die?

"Then those humble bears were indeed traitors, then it was not a pity. We have avenged you, you can thank our lord." As Vered said this, he descended back down to earth to Nalin's side, transformed into his snake form and climbed back onto his sister's back.

At that moment the 7-tailed fox man lunged forward and said, "My lord, my daughter! Is my daughter still alive?" he shouted.

Hearing this, Nalin looked towards him and replied "of course, I am the one who saved her, my lord, there is no one mightier than him in this universe." and turned around, just as he was about to jump out of the barrier, a voice was heard in the minds of all the monsters in the area:

"My master is here to rest and hides his Cultivation-Base. Treat him as a mortal."

-----

"Sis. Could I have exaggerated? They looked so scared." Vered was on her sister's back as she walked through the forest and was busy annoying her sister with her annoying questions.

"You did not exaggerate. No one can disturb our master's rest, and we must do everything in our power to destroy those who would try." This time Nalin was deadly serious and would not allow anyone to disturb Admon.

His master's comfort was the most important thing to him.

"How nice....I hope my master will give me some of that good feed when he gets back." Vered said in a cute voice and started to look at the sky as if he was praying, and Nalin, who noticed this, chose to do nothing but smile and say "you silly thing."

In any case, the duo felt that they had accomplished something good today. What would happen next was anyone's guess but time itself.
