Echalti Pt.2

Talking to Chloe after she rolled for luck and managed to make irrelevant conversation with him while avoiding being scolded or told to rest.

She was having fun and as he asked a few things about her, she found so much joy in how he wanted to learn about her even if he was only trying to make conversation.

But as she was talking about herself many thoughts had crossed his mind, and they turned deep as he needed to seriously think about them.

Because back at the Bright Forge it had said that he was to conquer the heart of a fiend and feed on her essence of life. Yet he didn't understand what that meant? Mainly because he didn't fucking speak in riddles,

Soooooo,

"Chloe, what does it mean to conquer the heart of a fiend and feed on her essence of life? Is it a complex riddle or do I have to eat a heart"

Yep, this was his plan, he was just going to ask her since she seemed to know a lot more about riddles and puzzles than him... See he had paid attention.

Looking over to him, she thought about it before answering, and she did it without asking why,

"To conquer the heart of a fiend... Hm? Wait I got it! I think, no, I know what it means! It means to get a fiend to fall in love with you!" Chloe

She continued onto the next part,

"As for feeding an essence of life, no you said her essence of life?... I think that means to... Nope, I don't know this one, I don't even know why the essence of life is??? And if a fiend has one?"

Nodding his head he finally got it, and look he had never admitted to not being stupid, he had probably said it himself before that he was a Mormon, so he appreciated her help.

So as she had given him valid responses, she was still holding on to his hand and joyously talking about something identical to it,

But he had to stop her fun, as he pressed his thumb against her center palm and nudged her hand to get her attention,

"Hm? What're you doing to my hand?" she asked with curiosity.

"Oh, I just wanted to get your attention so I could say thank you for all your help just now. But other than that would like to ask for a favor"

"A favor?"

"Yeah, do you think you could keep thinking about that riddle for me? And If you manage to find anything else out about it I'll reward you"

'Reward? Did I miss something in that riddle? Was there some sort of secret?'

"And as for myself I have to leave for a bit, but have no worries I won't be far, so don't feel like I left you all alone, I'll just be a few feet away"

He said reassuring her because he knew of her anxiety and another tiny issue,

"Okay, but what could It be that I missed in your riddle? Hmmm," she started overthinking it.

Meanwhile, standing up and leaving her side, he was dead set on achieving his main objective, what his main object was... Well, we're not going to tell you just yet.

But to get to his main objective he was to complete his mission to reach a Rank 1 Incubus.

And to achieve that, even if that meant the mission of reaching a Rank 1 incubus involved him making someone evil fall in love with him...He intended on doing just that.

But in saying that he needed to find details of his own, like if this fiend meant the same as what he thought it meant, and also what the Bright Forge meant by essence of life?

So his best option was walking up the stairs and going over to a certain desk to ask someone something,

"Hey Remi, I heard you know someone named Sebastian, I still haven't gotten a replacement phone yet, so I was wondering if you could text him and tell him to meet me right after school?"

In front of Derek and Remi, he didn't pay attention to the other one as he looked down at her and asked for a favor,

But as he asked her that she crossed her arms and looked up at him, she looked mad and he could probably guess why,

"sigh, I'm sorry about breaking your favorite figurine 2 years ago, I didn't see it and I'm sorry..." He admitted and apologized for it,

"You did what?" Remi

Yet she had no clue.

She wasn't even mad at him for that.

"Wait your not mad at me because you found out it was me who broke it and not your brother?" Hiro

"YOU WERE THE ONE WHO BROKE MY MINMIXY FIGURE!" Remi

"tut... Nooooooooo...." Hiro

Looking away from her, she shot up and grabbed his shirt collar,

"I was mad at my brother for a month because of that! Hiro what the hell! It was you who broke it!" Remi

Avoiding eye contact he bitterly snickered,

"So that's not why you're mad at me?" Hiro

"I'm mad because you all were ignoring me this morning! But now I'm pissed at YOU for my Minmixy figurine!" Remi

"Oh..." Hiro

"Don't you say oh! Now there is no way your getting let off the hook! You owe me a great deal now!" Remi

But as she said that, and he knew he was fucked and probably should have asked why she was mad from the start, he made it worst...

"Remi watches out, the Hag in you is coming out..." Hiro

Multiple veins bulged on her forehead as she looked at this man, and even god was about to fear her.

"Y-uu... You..." Remi

Deeply inhaling she was about to go off, but then,

"Hiro comes here it's your turn!" Zoe

Zoe had saved his life as she called him to pick a combatant spell, so with a bitter smile, he grabbed her hands which were on his neckband and he moved them off,

"Sorry I gotta take that~"

He dipped before anything could come out of her violent mouth, and from the look on her face, Derek could tell she was about to choke him like Homer Simpson.

Walking over to Zoe's desk he had a sense of gratitude to her for saving him back there, but before he could get anything out she slid 3 papers in front of him without making any eye contact and she moved her hands together afterward.

"You have 3 options-"

"Sword Strike, Bolster, and Balance?"

Stealing her line she clicked her tongue and yelled at him as even tho what happened before actually happened, she tried doing her job and not taking it personal till after work,

"Hey, I was going to say that! Shut the fuck up and let me talk!"

"My fault"

"Anyways, yes these are your 3 choices, have a question, ask. If not pick one and bug off, but for you, I suggest you choose the Sword Strike"

She said fully aware that he was taught like all slayers to use a katana. Which was the standard slayer's sword.

"What about Balance? What's that one about?"

"Your going to waste my time even tho I suggested something for you?... sigh, You just love making my job harder, okay, here's what I know,"

"~~~~~" she explained it.

"What about Bolster?"

"~~~~~" she bitterly started explaining that one as he was being so complicated for no other reason but to annoy her and she knew it.

"Now make up your damn mind and pick one, I don't have all day!"

Getting her to yell at him, he laughed and glanced at the 3 spells,

"Which one do you think I should choose?"

Her eye twitched as she had explained all that for him to ask her to suggest him a skill again, but she was going to play along because she was going to give him a thorough scolding after class.

So she pointed to the paper left to him,

"Sword stroke, pick that one"

But as she said he chuckled and reached for the paper all the way to his right,

"I chose this one, Bolster"

She was seconds from drop kicking him as he was only doing this to mess with her, GAAAAA HE'S SO ANNOYING! She wanted to scream out loud.

"I'm going to punch you," she said full of wrath and yet he laughed, mocking her ferocity.

Meanwhile, as this was all going on there were 2 new editions to the class, for the first time this month, both Mari and Isabell had attended their classes.

And as Mari was in the back of the class with Isabell, she was intensely staring at the back of her little brother's head. So if he could feel her stare, there was surely a hole going through his head by how much staring she was doing.

And that was for the main reason of inner hate, she hated him for what had happened last year at the karaoke bar. And to think it was him who cut her off and say that she was no one to him, not even family just someone of the same clan, and then disappear the next day, without even saying anything to her, she resented him for that and after many nights of thinking too much about it, she started deeply hating him.

And now when he just suddenly cames back into town without any notice, he fucks one of her close friends. What next, Chelsea and Iclit?

And as for Isabell, she was talking to Iclit and Chelsea who had came by them and she was just acting as everything was normal despite skipping class with Mari for over a month.

***18 minutes later***

"Mari Natsu, please come here!" Zoe

Hearing her name called she looked over to the teacher confused and she got up walking downstairs to her, but she didn't understand why she was called?

After learning about the 3 choices, she asked a few questions and had finally learned about the Slayer Takeover which had stunned her more than her pick of a little brother returning to town.

'You gotta be fucking kidding me'

[Mari has acquired Sword Strike]

***15 minutes after***

"Isabell Cranes, please come here!" Zoe

Gracefully walking downstairs after hearing the news from Mari, she wasn't affected in the slightest by the news. It didn't look like it since she was acting like she had been panicked, but she actually thought of this as fun and it was now worth coming to class a bit more.

Anyways this was actually good news for her since it meant she could continue to train more as well.

Walking downstairs and receiving the [Bolster] skill since Zoe had suggested it to her since she was frail and weak, she asked a few questions and made some quick conversation before turning around and readying herself to head back to her desk table.

But as she did she saw someone in the corner of her eyes and as she did, she slowly veered her head to the left of her where she saw none other than Hiro,

"H-Hiro...."

Hearing his name he veered his head to her and as his gaze met hers, he lightly smiled and waved at her,

His gesture was friendly and she couldn't feel any ill intent from him. But even so, as he did that, she started blushing as she remembered last night.

Looking away she rushed back to her seat as she felt the phantom pleasure of what had been done.

And seeing her like that he chuckled to himself as he thought that girl was weird. But cutely, despite her being a bit too frail for his tastes.

***45 minutes had passed***

The bell rung everyone was dismissed, but before Zoe could give Hiro a good scolding for messing with her today, and or Mari trying to get to him to probably give him an earful, he was gone but that lady wasn't?

She didn't even know where he was until she saw a note on the desk saying to meet him up at the gates.

Meanwhile, Hiro was already outside and as he was he was behind the 1st building as he was using that major speed boost to his advantage to sprint through the hallways a few seconds before the bell actually rang to get to the back before the hallways got crowded.

Turning corners he walked a few feet and reached both his arms out,

And as he did he had stealthily grabbed someone from behind and held a sharp object to their neck ready to murder them.

"I could smell you from the hallway, you are like me aren't you?" Hiro

The man gulped as something pressed against his neck and it lightly cut his neck, dripping down a line of blood,

"Your a Demon and you're going to answer my questions without resistance or I'll kill you" Hiro

Sebastian gulped as he didn't recognize that voice and but he recognized that smell and that scent belong to none other than Hiro.

"Hiro there's no need to be hostile! I'll answer your questions, just put down the knife!" Sebastian

Hearing him, Hiro swiftly moved the blade and he flinched as he shouldn't have said Hiro's name, now he was surely going to be killed then and there...

Flinching he felt no pain... Was he already dead? No, he felt Hiro back away, the blade hands slit his throat.

Turning around he saw a man with brown hair and scarlet demon eyes, his sleeve was rolled up as he was prepared to bloody his hands and he was holding a pencil as a weapon, which Sebastian had through was a knife,

"You know me huh? Well I guess that makes it easier demon, now answer my questions" Hiro
