Ch 7-What is righteous

As they almost reached the lake, Randerz felt the breeze, he was just a tree behind it, he tilted his head and saw a blurred image of a woman running, over a giant fish in the air with a spear, she jumped off it when she reached out her palm with zanet appeared in it, as faint blue light accumulated in her hand Randerz was amazed. As the clump of blue light started to spin a spear shot out of it. It pierced through the tail and exited on the mouth.

It emitted light even when it was travelling through the fish.

Bam!!

A loud sound was heard as the fish fell to the ground. As the three of them ran near to the lake " Mommy this is Randerz" said Aoki while panting after the run. As she slowly flew down with elegance, one could compare it with a leaf falling in the warmth of the spring(1), Randerz's mouth was wide open while watching the fish right beside him. As he turned his head to see Vani, he got jump scared as Vani's face was close to his, she laughed at seeing him get scared

"same eyes..." Thought Vani With a small but pure smile

"Are you guys hungry"

"Yeahhh" said the sibling with enthusiasm

As she walked to the fish and took out a knife held beside her hip, to cut some pieces of the fish. Randerz was in deep thought looking at her " I have seen her somewhere, somewhere not here", she had brown eyes a long face and a suitable nose, silky black hair.

She lit a fire in a pit that seemed like it had been used a thousand times to light the fire. She took those pieces and washed them in the crystal clear lake water. She took out a mini bag from her back pocket, she rubbed the powder from it before putting them on a stick and placing it near the pit fire.

"What's your age "Even though she knew Randerz's age she asked it because she could see he was too anxious, and she proceeded with basic questions like "Did you meet Mai " "Yes" "How is your new room " "Very big "etc..

As they were talking all of them could smell the fish, drips of juice slid on the stick making the soil wet, Vani took four pieces of leaf, placed one in front of each of them and sprinkled some water on it. Randerz had never smelt something like this, his stomach was growling. They proceeded to finish the meal, and Vani checked for a good point to lift the fish but she wasn't able to find any, Zanet from her neck expanded and she just punched through the skull, the front part of the body lifted and the tail dragging all the way to town.

Knock knock knock

Vani knocked back door of a butcher shop, a tall and muscular man opened

" Ahh come in come in place it there"

Then they started their journey back home after reviving the payment.

A few months ago,

In the coastal region of the Amphora kingdom was a village named Arur,

" Soldiers have surrounded the village, nobody can get out except you "

Said a 40-year-old man, lying on smooth sand. Beside him was Abi, a 12-year-old boy, a lucky one to get a Zanet with little blood, the Colour Golden blue can be very vibrantly seen on his dark brown skin.

"Hmm-" his eyes were grim, even though half closed his brown eyes gleamed under the sunlight, as he stared at the guards surrounding the beach he thought "Hmm..."

Sigh, that's all he thought.

" As a father, I wasn't able to protect our family, we ran ran ran our entire life, hahaha, peasants look at them scared of dying"(2)

" Worshipping god thinking he's gonna split the ocean and save them"

"We can't run, hide, fight back, but you can..."

"You don't speak, cause you too know that I cant do anything else the dying"

"You haven't spoken since she died..."

Before he finished his sentence,

Sheesh....

A blue ray through the head of the guard, he fell to the ground,

"Hahaha that guy killed our dog which was shouting at the guards" taught the old man.

Abi turned his head with his one eye seeing the guards, as sun sun rays hit eye, it shone

"I can run away if I want but, you can't if not now, so do what I'm about to ask and run away"

"You..." Shouted a soldier throwing his spear at him

"Don't..."

Shouted the head of the guards, but the spear was already in the air aimed at Abi's neck.

"Tch" A blue thick ray of blood mark energy spur out of the zanet, desecrated in an instant,

"Hahaha" as the father pointed to the sky

Soldiers tried to look at the sky, it was split, and the clouds was way out of the path of the beam.

Some started to tremble, not only by the sky but also seeing the rest half of the soldier's body that fell onto the ground.

Blood spew out everywhere from the arc at his hip. The teeth white sand at the beach swam in a warm bath of blood.

As everybody stared at him in fear,

"Uhhhh, catch two fish and cook it for us", it was neither menacing nor forceful, just nothing in his tone

The guards quickly granted his demands,

" You said I didn't speak because mom died but I didn't speak because I realised there was nothing my words could do"

"Just like you, you are not trying to run away using me even if you can, because the king is already on his way and he can easily catch you "

"Heaven gave me Golden blue, you gave wisdom, I will at least give your soul the rest it deserves" said Abi looking his father dead in the eyes, but with tears.

One can be menacing, and wisdom of a 100 years passed to them in words but one had to live for a 100 years to truly understand them, after all, Abi is just a 12-year-old boy.

" Hahaha you remind me of her soo much, you will meet a young girl soon enough, be on her good side hahaha she's been through alot, even I dont know which path she will choose, lets hope she choses the righteous path", as the father said this he curled his lips and smiled as he knew what Abi was about to say.

"Who decides whats righteous, the king?, people?god?us?, whats right, you wanted this out of my mouth right," said Abi as he too smiled.

With a proud face, the father said, "Her name is Ashana, she might lie to everyone about her name but I'm sure you will find her"

He woke up and hugged Abi with the one arm he was left with after the long lost battles, with his palm on the head of Abi he thought "This is the last but first hug"

As Abi was about to hug him back with his hand, he saw a hand pulling the hair of his father.

Abi with anger grabbed the arm, but even with his Zanet Mark's granted super strength he wasn't able to cut off that arm.

The next moment he saw his dad in air, before he could turn Abi got slapped and got his jaw dislocated but it started to heal as soon as he got it, the kind walked to the shore to wash his hands after touching Abi, "You would be useful as an top tier soldier, or maybe a slave, anything as you wish my lord" said the king with a grim in his eyes and smile in his face.

"Aren't you gonna beg for you father's life"

"Are you gonna leave him" replied Abi with looking dead in the eyes but he did not look the king in a disrespectful way or with anger,

King was shocked, his lips curled and revealed a huge smile,

"No, hahahahaha"

"Interesting, I'd like my son to grow up to hate you and kill you on his own hahahah"

"Hmmm...." Said Abi with tears running down his face as his father was being dragged to gate of death..

(2)- here the father meant ' peasant ' meant to be as a word to signify weakness as an common moking term, not to mock the actual peasant as they were themselves a peasant.
