Chapter 5

Title:"A day after the battle"

Inside a certian grand bedroom, there rose a beautiful woman on a night gown.She just woken up from her sleep but she still felt tired. The moment Khae lost his consciousness he was still riding his mount and seeing this scene she quickly made her way near the place where he would fall and catched his falling body. On the other hand the Asuryan soldiers fought bravely and desperately but they were killed, no one lived to tell the tale.

Actually, quite a number of Asuryan soldiers surrendered, but sadly they were identified as enemies of the state because they fought against the Druchii and was summarily executed by decapitation.The one who ordered their execution was of course the second in command, Theraki. She cleaned the mess after the battle and continued with the original plan. She stayed overnight inside the command room hiving orders and instructions to the soldiers on the frontline and haven't slept till 3 in the morning, so she was really tired.

"Yawn* I'm really tired from all thay work he dumped to me yesterday,just why would he faint on the spot without giving any instructions." said the sleepy Theraki.

She got up from her bed and entered her own bathroom. The moment she entered she was greeted by warm steam coming inside the bath. She slowly undressed herself and hopped inside the bathtub. Her bathtub is big enough for 12 people to sit and be comfortable without anyone touching others skin.

"Sigh* I really love hot baths in a cold morning" commented Theraki as she strted to relax her body and took a quick nap. She woken up, feeling refreshed and ready for a new day. She quickly left her bathroom and went to her walk-in closet and armory which housed her armors, clothing and weapons. She started to dry herself up and chose an outfit.

"Hmmmm, I think I'll go with an admiral outfit coupled with a light armor and short sword.She started to dress herself up and quickly finished it. She then went directly to her office in the highest room of the black tower on the Black Ark. Along the way, she met officers, soldiers and even nobles but they all bowed as a sign of respect.

Once she entered she was greeted by a group of secretaries already working on different things.She slowly and quietly made her way on her own seat. Her seat was the highest in the room. With a large arched table made out up precious gems and crystal pair it up with a comfortable seat made out of dragon skin, her seat was really luxurious than even the mir cousins, the Asur would surely be jealous.

She sat on her chair and ordered for a nearby servant to come. A beautiful girl quickly came and inquired.

"Yes, my lord?" the girl asked with respect.

"Bring me a breakfast, the usual if possible." ordered Theraki as she started reading the papers on her table.

"Your wish shall be done" said the girl and quickly but quietly left, not wanting to disturb Theraki.

On the door the girl was stunned. When she opened it there she saw a messenger who didn't bat an eye on her and quickly walked to Theraki.

"My lord, his majesty has awaken and requests your presence on his bedroom." reported the messenger.

Hearing this, Theraki immediately stood up and made her way towars Khae's room, but not before leaving an instruction to everyone.

"Please continue with you work, I shall return later after I'm done with my affairs.As for you, please bring the food on his majesty's bedroom and also prepare enough for his majesty."

"Y-yes my lord" immediately answered the girl.

As Theraki was making her way towards Khae's bedroom she was stoped more than 10 times by Black Guards. On every turn there stood 3 Black guards and will do a thorough inspection to you. The Black Guards being skillful did each inspection in under 5 seconds and Theraki wasn't delayed by too much.

As she entered the door, she was greeted by Khae's figure sitting on his and resting his back on the headboard.She was momentarily stunned due to Khae's eyes seemed to be different from yesterday.Khae has now a complete set of ash grey eyes that made him look charming even more than before. She slowly approached Khae and when she was arms length from him, she was immediately hugged by Khae and pulled to the bed.

"K-khae what are you doing?" asked Theraki trying his best to hide her blushing face and excitement on her voice.

"Hahah nothing, just wanted to hug you, my queen." answered Khae laughing.

"T-then can you stop hugging me?" asked Theraki with a cute voice.

"Why? You don't want me hugging you?" asked Khae with a doubt in his eyes.

"That's not what I meant..." Theraki was cut short when Khae started to speak again ang his hug became tighter.

"Then I won't let you go." said Khae with resolution.Theraki knowing she couldn't do anything just let Khae hug her for as long as he liked.

"My lord, what happened to your eyes?" asked Theraki still being hugged by Khae.

"Huh? My eyes, what do you mean?" asked Khae in shock as he let Theraki slip from his hug.Theraki used this opportunity to quickly get a mirror and slip away from Khae's hug.

Khae got the mirror from Theraki's hands and quickly looked at himself in front of the mirror.

As he was looking he was naturally shocked to see his eyes changed color once again.

"Why did my eyes changed color? There has got to be an explanation." said Khae as he put the mirror down and looked at Theraki. Just then a knock came from the door and Theraki quickly walked to it and opened the door. Outside the door, there stood a Black guard.

"My lord, there's a servant claiming you asked for her to get breakfast, shall I let her in?" asked the guard politely.

"Yes, please lead her inside." answered Theraki.

"Yes my lord." said the guard before walking away to fetch the girl. Theraki closed the door and turned towards Khae's direction.

"Have you eaten breakfast?" asked Theraki.

"No, I still haven't ate anything" answered Khae truthfully as his stomach grumbled.

"Then it's great I had my servant bring extra food." giggled Theraki. Khae smiled at her sweetly and didn't said anything.

The girl from before knocked on the door and Theraki quickly opened it.The girl then brought the food inside and left it on the table. She then quietly left without saying anything.

"She's the shy type aren't she?" said Khae with a little tease in his voice.

"You can hook up with her but remember, I'm your queen." said Theraki while laughing.She knew in herself that sooner or later there would be other concubines, so she thought that it's better to accept it and assert her authority rather than being asserted.

Khae just laughed and didn't pursue the matter. Theraki knew that Khae was still sore so she brought a plate and started to spoon feed Khae. After their breakfast Khae started to inquire about the events after he lost consciousness.Theraki told him her orders and he was satisfied with how she handled it.

"But, you seriously gave the order to enslave the whole beastmen confederation?" asked Khae with a doubt on his voice.

"Of course, their whole existance is for them to serve us, the superior species and we get to expand our living space and more of our glorious race would appear and we would eventually be the overlords." said Theraki with her eyes glimmering with excitement and proud as she told Khae her reasons.

'Hmmm I think I read a guy that believes their race is superior, I just forgot who he is.' thought Khae as he started to think if he should stop this. But his thoughts were interrupted by Theraki as she spoke once again.

"My beloved, our vanguard force has most likely enslaved the poeple from the villages far away from the cities." said Theraki as she stood up from her seat.

"Tell them to expedite it, I want those lower life forms enslaved!" said Khae as his soft and happy voice from earlier disappeared and turned into a deep and ice cold one. Theraki immediately noticed this and felt confused on the sudden change but nonetheless acknowledged the order.

"Yes my beloved, your wish is my command." said Theraki with a sweet voice as she left quietly,leaving Khae on the looking at the big window inside his room.

Unbeknownst to the two, Khae's eye color changed once again, but this time it was a complete brass color exuding immeasurable murder intent just like on the day of his coronation.
