Here's the QnA segment of the week, where I ask for your opinions, clear confusions and have a general chat about the story with you guys in the audience.

Before we start. Please note, I am not calling anyone out about any comments or anything.

I am grateful to all of you who comment or otherwise engage with the story. :-D

First, the issue of the MC doing some stupid stuff. Someone asked, why?

MC had already derailed the internal railway system of the ship, and then shut off the surveillance in his escape route.

He figured, with the train problem, Grevious would be busy looking for them there, and be distracted.

This was stupid on the MC's part.

But MC was never in any real trouble. If he wanted to escape, he could have left Anakin to die and used his portal gun to escape.

Why didn't the MC shut off all surveillance?

MC wanted to use the other cameras to keep track of the troop movements if needed. That was his mistake.

Why didn't he just switch them off and then just selectively switch on the cameras where he wanted to check on the troops?

Because that would reveal his technokinesis ability to the enemy. Imagine if you saw all your systems shut off and then suddenly some of them start up again, but only when it benefits the intruder. You would probably come to the conclusion that your enemy has some way to control your tech or has hacked into your systems and you would immediately mobilize all your troops to hunt them down because now, instead of a puny intruder who can only run, this person is a monster that can throw your ship into a sun by hacking your warp drive.

So you would hunt them down with full power.

The narrative reason I made MC make that mistake?

Last time, in Heroes world, MC was in a position of weakness, and always on edge and alert.

Now, here, MC is in a position of strength. So obviously he is going to become relaxed, and make a mistake or two. This arc will then show the MC that even when you are strong, someone can still hurt you. So with this mistake, MC will have character growth and learn to be alert and never underestimate anyone even if he is strong. From now on, MC will not make such a mistake again.

Secondly, someone said, MC feeling pain is not in character. Rick wouldn't let an injury get in the way. He would shrug it off.

About that, Rick is basically Inspector Gadget Plus.

He has modified his body in many ways. He has a subdermal forcefield mesh, a shield around his heart, laser guns in his arms and jet thrusters in his feet, among many, many other mods. So he probably doesn't even feel that much pain.

MC on the other hand hasn't made any body mods to himself. That is why MC is still able to be hindered by pain.

Though, MC is on his way there. Soon he will also body mod himself!
