Chapter 9 Shinobu`s Training

Arriving at Shinobu's office, Noah knocked.

This was followed by a soft invitation to come in.

When Noah entered, he saw Shinobu sitting at her desk.

On her desk were stacked sheets of paper.

Noah assumed that these were her research results.

Otherwise, the room was relatively tidy. The walls were lined with shelves of research and books.

Just as I imagined your office, Noah thought when he saw the room.

"Am I disturbing you?" he asked as if he were a bother.

"No, it's all right, we have some things to discuss, don't we?" she said in a soft voice.

What Noah noticed immediately was that she was different today.

Her voice no longer sounds staged, but genuine.

`Looks like she can finally look forward, huh?` Noah rejoiced.

After all, Noah didn't want to entrust a ticking timebomb with his important research.

"Here, sit down," she said as she pointed to a chair opposite of her.

Noah just nodded and sat down.

"Shinobu I have thought of a small training plan for you."

"First of all, I want you to learn how to use hidden weapons."

"Hidden weapons?" Shinobu asked as if she wanted to know more.

"Shinobu do you know what your biggest advantage is with your build?"

`I have advantages with this body?` she asked herself in surprise.

Noah was not surprised that she was surprised, after all, she always thought that her body was a curse.

Now, hearing that she has advantages makes her naturally happy.

"What are they," she asked excitedly.

"You're cute," Noah answered without making a facial expression.

From his expression Shinobu could see that he really meant it.

"And how is that my advantage?" she asked

"Shinobu think from the point of view of your opponent, would you think that you are powerful?" Noah played the role of a teacher.

"No?" she answered without thinking.

"Do you understand what I want to point out?"

"Yes." She answers like a good student

"I will also teach you some other tricks like how to feign unconsciousness."

Even though Shinobu is a doctor, she had never considered feigning unconsciousness in a fight.

To be honest, Noah took advantage of Shinobu's training a bit because he himself didn't even know how to feign unconsciousness.

Therefore, he wanted to learn it along at the same time as he was teaching her.

While Noah has the theoretical knowledge, he has never tried it out himself.

In other words, Shinobu is his test person. Obviously without her being aware of it.

"When you've mastered all of this, we'll move on to your speed, since I know a few tricks that don't depend on your physique, ok?"

Happy that she has the chance to get stronger, she nodded with a smile on her face.

After talking about Shinobu's training, they moved on to Noah's part.

"What do you want me to research?" she asked with expectations.

"Nothing." Noah said, causing Shinobu to stare at him like a fool.

"Don't look at me like that ok? It's not that I don't want you to research anything for me, it's just that you can't do it right now."

Noah said to explain himself.

This confused Shinobu even more.

"What do you mean I can't do it yet?" she asked as if she was looking for answers.

"Don't worry Shinobu I'll let you know on time, just concentrate on your training ok?"

After they agreed, Noah had one final issue on his mind.

"Shinobu? Please just call me Noah ok? We are partners after all."

"Gladly ." Shinobu said and offered the same to Noah.

"Ok Shinobu, I have something to do. I'll pick you up later for training ok? Please prepare some throwing knives. See you later." Noah said before he left.

After Noah said goodbye, he left the mansion, looking for a place in the forest to train.

When he had chosen a tree, he stood still, raised his arm, made a finger pistol and aimed at the tree.

*Boom*

What happened next took Noah by surprise.

Noah passed his Qi through his body and fired it as a bullet through a finger gun. What surprised Noah so much was the strength of his attack, after all, he only used pure Qi.

Noah was sure that with this attack a high level devil would have a low chance of defending himself in the DxD world.

Excluding, of course, devils like Riser.

Satisfied with the attack, Noah tried all kinds of other attacks.

After about half an hour, Noah decided to combine his attacks with his spear.

As he took out his spear he held his spear as if he were holding a sniper, then closed one eye and aimed at a tree a little further away.

Then he let his Qi flow through his spear and shot.

*Boom*

Another bang woke up the last inhabitants of the forest.

This time the damage was not so great, since Noah used less Qi. After all he doesn't want to destroy his spear.

Next, he put the spear back into the inventory.

Then he stood next to a tree, letting his qi flow into his right foot as he raised his foot and formed a small blade on the tip of his foot.

He then smashed his foot into the tree with a single kick.

*boom*

Now it sounded for the third time.

Noah finally realized how OP his Qi abilities actually are.

His body is pratically a weapon itself.

After this training session, Noah decided to go back and start with Shinobu's training.

10 minutes later

This time Noah didn't bother to knock, but simply jumped over the gate, after all he is a resident of the mansion himself.

When Noah was inside the mansion, he could already see Shinobu's office from far away.

Since he didn't want to take a detour, he decided to enter through the window.

Once Noah was at Shinobu's window he looked in and saw Shinobu seriously doing her work.

This view was extremely cute from his point of view.

He decided to let her finish her work first.

15 minutes later

As Shinobu finished her work, she thought her soul was leaving her body when she heard a voice from behind her.

"Are you ready Shinobu?" Noah asked, amused.

"N-noah" she stuttered as she slowly regained her composure.

"Sorry, you looked focused, so I didn't want to disturb you." Noah said, trying to make himself look like a decent person

"And are you done with what you just did?" he asked again.

"Yes, I just want to change my clothes and than we can go."

After Shinobu changed, the two of them walked to a practice area in the back of the mansion.

They were followed by two Demeon Slayers, who were carrying their trainings equipment.

When they arrived there, the two of them put everything down and left.

"Ok Shinobu, we'll start first with the feigning of unconsciousness."

"I'll explain briefly in which situation you can use this. Naturally, you already know most of it since it's quite logical, but I'd like to make sure we're thinking along the same lines," said the self-appointed teacher.

"To start with, you should only use this trick on an enemy who has no intent to kill."

"An example situation would be when you fight someone like Tanjiro. He can kill demons, but he will never bring himself to kill a nornal human. Especially someone like you."

"So how can you take advantage of it? "

"Very simple, once you realize that you are being defeated, you have to let yourself be hit on purpose."

"After that, you will be posing as a unconscious, but of course this alone won't do anything since it is only dangerous in combination with hidden weapons. "

"Let the opponent take down his guard, and attack when he expects it the least."

"However, there is one thing you must not forget. This technique is not without risk, because as you can imagine, if you let yourself get hit, you may actually faint."

While Noah explained this to Shinobu, she listened carefully, as if she were afraid to miss something.

"Do you understand or do I have to explain it to you in detail?" Noah asked one last time before they started.

"Shinobu, what are the signs that someone is unconscious?"

"Lack of responsiveness and slackening of muscularity," Shinobu replied.

Of course, Noah didn't have to teach her that, since she was a doctor herself.

"How is the breathing?" he asked as if he were questioning a student in class.

"It varies, breathing can stop completely, but it can also be regular."

"Then let's try it out," Noah said as he motioned for her to attack him.

Shinobu being a good student attacked immediately.

The two fought hand to hand for a few minutes until Shinobu left her left side open.

Noah knew what Shinobu was getting at and followed the script.

He hit her with a well-timed punch.

In the next moment he couldn't believe his eyes.

Is she a natural talent or has she really fainted? Noah asked himself when he couldn't tell if she was acting or not.

Since she didn't move after 5 minutes, he decided to give her a few light slaps against her cheeks.

Shortly after, she woke up.

Noah cursed himself inwardly for not having thought of it before.

He didn't calculate that Shinobu's body couldn't withstand a specific blow, since he made this plan based on his own body.

Noah then decided to start with the hidden weapons training, while thinking about the rest.

The chapter was rather boring, however I would like to have some interactions between the two of them.

Next chapter will be the last part of the tarining and afterwards the story will be a bit faster.
