Chapter 143: Port royal

Near Port Royal

Small fishing boats can be seen in the sea near Port Royal, bobbing up and down in the waves.

"At last, I have arrived," said Alex as he saw Port Royal and was also excited about his upcoming adventure.

In the Governor's mansion

Elizabeth woke up in her bed, dreaming about the man on the boat and his mysterious disappearance

"Miss?" asked the maid seeing Elizabeth was not fully awake

"Nothing, just thinking about my dream," said Elizabeth. As she got up from bed and walked to the balcony to enjoy the morning breeze.

" Another dream about that man," said the maid while sorting the bed sheets and arranging the pillows.

"Yes," said Elizabeth while enjoying the morning view of the sea from her balcony.

"Miss it has been 8 years since you met that man," said the maid

" You don't know even his name "

"You don't even know if he is alive or not," said the maid

"He is alive," said Elizabeth with a confident expression on her face and touch the meadllion which os hanging on her chest.

"How can you say that?" asked the maid with a questioning gaze

"He promised me he would meet me."

When she was eight years old, she met a man on the ship while travelling to Port Royal. He told her about lost treasure, but then mysteriously disappeared

She always had a feeling that the person she met was not a normal person.

She tried to search for him but found nothing.

Despite her best efforts, she couldn't find any trace of him. His presence had left such an indelible mark in her heart that it felt like she would never forget him.

" Elizabeth are you dressed?" asked Governor Swann while knocking on the door

"Yes, come in dad."

"it is such a beautiful day and I also have a gift for you " said Governor Swann as he opened the box the maid was carrying.

"What is the occasion dad?" asked Elizabeth

"Does a father need an occasion to dote on his daughter?"

"It is beautiful," said Elizabeth as she saw the dress

"Actually, I hoped you might wear it for today's ceremony "

"I knew it "

"Yes it is captain Norrington's ceremony, he is going to get promoted to commodore "

"Why are you saying this to me?"

"I think he fancies you and he is going to propose to you "

"Ugh!" grumbled Elizabeth

"Elizabeth, is something wrong "

"Nothing this dress "

"I specially ordered this dress, this is quite popular in London "

" Does all ladies in London stopped breathing to wear dress like this "

" This dress is uncomfortable " said Elizabeth

"Okay, get dressed and I will wait for you in the hall "

After Alex intervened, Elizabeth was no longer interested in Will and only saw him as a friend.

After that, Governor Sawn left the mansion with Elizabeth and came to the place where the ceremony was about to take place.

The ceremony was grand and majestic. All the important people of society had gathered to witness Norrington's promotion. The official ceremony began with the Governor presenting Norrington with a sword and a colonel's uniform. After that, Norrington was officially promoted to the rank of Commodore. There was loud cheering and applause from the crowd, and the ceremony started with a grand feast and celebration.

After the ceremony, Norrington took Elizabeth to the top of the building so they could have a private conversation. There, he told her of his promotion and his future plans, and Elizabeth congratulated him.

"I'm not able to breathe," said Elizabeth as she felt hard to breathe because of the e dress

"Oh, you also feel the same "

"I also can't breathe thinking about you," said Norrington without knowing Elizabeth's situation.

She was struggling to breathe, but the Nornnington was still oblivious to her situation.

She lost consciousness and fell into the sea, but Norrington was still unaware of what had happened to Elizabeth.

As she fell into the sea there was a loud noise, and hearing that Norrington turned his head.

"Elizabeth " shouted Norrington seeing the ripples in the sea

At the same time in the Boat.

Alex was standing on the boat enjoying the breeze of the sea, feeling the wind on his face and the warmth of the sun on his skin. He was marvelling at the beauty of the ocean and the tranquility of the moment. While Jack was handling the boat.

"Alex, I'm captain," said Jack

"Yes, you are the captain."

"Then why am I working?"

"Because you are the captain, the captain has to work hard to satisfy the crew," said Alex with a smile.

After seeing a figure falling into the sea, Alex immediately jumped into the water.

"Alex,where are you going?" shouted Jack as he saw Alex leap into the sea.
