Driving a Nice Car

Theodore was already leaning on his doorstep as he waited for Roxanne to come out of his apartment. It could be seen that Theodore was now carrying a sizable backpack on his back. 

"I hope this backpack is enough to cover up the existence of the sacred dimension," Theodore muttered while thinking of a way to conceal his power from Roxanne. 

As Theodore was lost in thought, he was startled by Roxanne's voice calling out to him. 

"Are you alright?" Roxanne asked with a worried face as she called out several times to Theodore who did not answer her due to daydreaming. 

"Yeah, I was just thinking about something." Theodore shook off his hand and started to move from his position to go down to the ground floor. 

"Are you sure we can leave now?" Roxanne quickly walked after Theodore who had left first. 

"There will be many people who think the same as us. The sooner we get out, the more likely we are to find food." Theodore explained why they should go out now. 

Roxanne realized only after Theodore said it, that if they could think like this, then others would think the same. Roxanne had already guessed that people had no morals in such a broken world. 

"Our goal this time is not just to find food supplies. Look for anything you might need in your home," Theodore said and reminded Roxanne of this important matter. 

"You're right, too. Do you have any advice for me?" Roxanne also chose to ask Theodore this, rather than being confused about what else to look for later. 

"Maybe medicine? Or vegetable or fruit seeds so you can cultivate them at home. It could also be solar panels, we need electricity after all," Theodore replied with a little thought. 

"Wow, you really thought of this. I didn't even think about it," Roxanne said, quite amazed by Theodore's thinking. 

"I just want to survive." Theodore shrugged his shoulders indifferently. 

The trip downstairs was filled with their casual chatter, before they knew it, they had arrived at the lobby of the apartment building. 

"Looks like we need a car," Theodore said, thinking they needed a car for their trip. 

"Do you have a car?" Roxanne turned to Theodore curiously. 

"No," Theodore answered briefly. 

Roxanne gave Theodore a strange look, wondering how they could go by car if they didn't have a car. 

Of course, Theodore was aware of the look Roxanne was giving him, he was holding back his laughter at the moment. 

"We'll steal it. There are plenty of idle cars on the streets," Theodore explained later to Roxanne's surprise. 

Roxanne's face looked shocked, her eyes rounded in shock not expecting Theodore to answer her like that. 

Roxanne had never thought of stealing a car that no longer had an owner. It seemed like Roxanne really had to update her thinking. 

"There's no need to feel guilty, those cars are useless to their owners anyway." Theodore casually walked out of the lobby of their apartment building. 

"We need to find a car that's still good and drivable. Don't get too far apart, okay?" Theodore then ordered Roxanne to speed up their search. 

"Alright. I'll call you if I find it." Roxanne nodded her head in understanding. 

With that, they separated to look for the vehicle they would use to search for the place they were going to loot. 

Theodore didn't want to choose a car carelessly, there were most likely still many zombies roaming around the city. 

So they need a car that is strong enough if they are attacked by zombies. Theodore had intended to buy a military car, but the apocalypse happened sooner so he didn't have time to buy the car. 

"I really regret not being able to buy that military car," Theodore muttered as he sighed wearily. 

Theodore kept walking around the area of his apartment building to look for the car, unexpectedly he saw several people who also came out of their houses. 

It seemed that there were indeed many who intended to loot in other places to get food supplies or take other people's valuables.

Fortunately, Theodore spotted a black SUV on the side of the road that looked like it was in good condition. Theodore quickly walked towards the car, he intended to use the car for today. 

Just in case Theodore took out his sword, then slowly he tried to open the car door and he was happy because the car was not locked!

But, the problem was that a zombie immediately came out from inside the car when Theodore opened the car door. 

Fortunately, Theodore was already prepared with a sword in his hand, so he calmly swung his sword to cut off the head of the zombie that lunged towards him. 

Because he had found a zombie in the car Theodore examined the car carefully. Theodore poked his head into the car to see what was inside. 

Theodore could breathe a sigh of relief because there was only one zombie in the car, he didn't know how the zombie could be in the car. 

Before getting into the car Theodore removed the zombie's body from the car, and then he got into the car. 

Today it seemed like Theodore was really lucky because the car key was still hanging in the keyhole, so he could use the car today. 

"Indeed, it looks like I'm in luck!" Theodore smiled brightly when he saw that there was still plenty of oil in the car when he started the engine. 

Theodore didn't wait long as he started driving the car in the direction where Roxanne was. 

From a distance Theodore could see Roxanne's figure, he opened the car window and called Roxanne. 

"Roxanne! I've found the car!" Theodore quickly called out to Roxanne so that she could come to him immediately. 

"Thank goodness you found it!" Roxanne hurriedly ran towards the car Theodore was driving. 

After opening the door for Roxanne, they could start their journey to find their destination. 

"You're so lucky to find a nice car like this. I only found a car that was damaged earlier," Roxanne said later. 

"Not so lucky, there was a zombie in this car," Theodore replied with a grimace. 

Roxanne's face paled a little when she heard Theodore's words, not expecting there to be zombies in this car. 

"Don't worry, I already killed the zombie," Theodore said after realizing that Roxanne was silent. 

Only then could Roxanne breathe a sigh of relief. But, just in case Roxanne glanced at the back seat to make sure there was no one there. 

For a while, Theodore drove the car out of their apartment building. 

"You don't mind if we go to the supermarket near the apartment." Theodore gave Roxanne a quick glance. 

"No problem. It's big and well-stocked, so we should be able to find a lot of things there. Hopefully, the soldiers have cleaned up the area around the place." Roxanne also nodded her head in agreement with Theodore's suggestion. 

"I hope so." Theodore only hoped he wouldn't have to fight with a horde of zombies on this trip.
