Chapter 71 That what am I? A human! well... not exactly but you get the point!

The night sky exploded with a dazzling array of fireworks, illuminating the atmosphere in a shower of glossy colors. Comets streaked across the sky, leaving trails of light in their wake, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that left everyone momentarily speechless. The combined view of the fireworks and the celestial display was so overwhelming that it rendered the girl unable to speak for a few fleeting seconds.

She gasped in awe as she watched the fireworks, her eyes literally glimmering, fixed on the sky. The colors and sounds filled her with a sense of wonder and excitement, making her feel alive as if she had experienced true happiness for the first time.

As the final burst of fireworks faded away, the girl responded, with her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity, "We don't know what you mean..." Her voice trailed off as she looked at Daniel, who had a strange expression on his face. She felt a little uneasy as if she had said something wrong.

Daniel, remembering like his palm how her personality drastically changed the first time he transformed, said, " Do you recall our little conversation that left me with a nosebleed? I can perceive weird things, and right now they are telling me that you aren't-" He was quickly silenced by a flying muffin landing squarely in his mouth, to which Daniel could only babble incoherencies while tasting the strawberry muffin, "Wel will wal muffin wame." He looked at the girl, who was now holding a plate of muffins, and a big smile on her face.

Dante, with his hand pressed against his ear as if to aid his hearing, repeated Daniel's words aloud, "Where did that muffin come from...?" The girl scratched her head in confusion, her brow furrowed in puzzlement. "We don't know; our body moved without me." she replied, grabbing a towel to clean up the mess she inadvertently caused to his friend.

Daniel's gaze drifted to the girl's face; her eyes were lively and seemingly unfazed by the strange events or questions. Though he wasn't angry with her because this was her nature, YET! Even so, he couldn't just shake the constant annoyance he felt at her unpredictable actions and behavior. Slightly upset, he mumbled, "I can clean myself."

In an attempt to shift the tides of the conversation away from uncomfortable questions, the girl eagerly interjected, "LET'S DO SOMETHING FUN!" Pausing for a moment, she adopted a more serene expression, her movements resembling those of a child as she jumped in circles. "We feel like we'll explode at any moment if we stay still, and that is a no-no."

Daniel pondered deeply, his mind swirling with solutions and thoughts on how to address her eccentricity peculiarity. He weighed over various possibilities, contemplating potential solutions to steer the unpredictable nature of her behavior. Lost in his thoughts, he failed to notice a passerby who, equally distracted, collided with him. With a quick apology, the stranger acknowledged his mistake before disappearing into the throng of people, leaving Daniel momentarily stunned.

Turning to face the stranger, Daniel offered a silent apology, acknowledging that he also played some blame in the accident. As he redirected his attention back to his companion, he was met with a surprising sight: the girl was now adorned with cat ears, surrounded by an array of food and another black cat. Sensing Daniel's gaze upon her, she cheerfully offered him some food; her mouth was full, with even some of it falling over the ground as she spoke. "Want some it's rice...? I don't know. I just grabbed the first thing I could."

Daniel instinctively pushed the cat away with his hands; he wasn't keen on having yet another innocent animal near him or above him, "We need to focus on serious training and study how much your personality has been altered... and stop bringing stuff from nowhere!"

Inviting herself to sit on the cold concrete, she mirrored the iconic Thinker statue. After three seconds of not moving, she gave up with an enthusiastic burst and a simple conclusion, "We can't! Our hands move by themselves, and if not, then another part of me will do it! Like my hair!"

Daniel couldn't just simply eat this impractical answer and go home; she was going to be his ally and companion for god knows how long, and he was sure she wasn't going to go away any time soon, so either he adapted or searched for a way to make her less annoying, he asked, "How does it even work?"

Dante didn't know how to explain it because it wasn't something he consciously did; rather, it seemed to be an inherent part of her being... Did someone teach you how to breathe when you were born? Of course not! So she took the most common and reasonable analogy possible, "How would you explain to someone a new color?" she posed, attempting to convey the complexity of her situation.

Daniel had already heard this question a while ago before getting here. It isn't that quite new after all, like in the allegory of the cavern: humans can only see shadows and not the real world. It doesn't matter if it's another entire world of magic, dimension, or super advanced technology; every species perceives in a totally different spectrum and won't believe until they have seen, "You can't... they'll have to see it by themself if not is impossible" Said Daniel.

Before Daniel could process the implications of their conversation, he was suddenly swallowed in warmth as the girl wrapped her arms around him in a spontaneous hug. Daniel didn't expect the sudden move, nor could he react, but now he turned down to see the girl already smiling with a mischievous grin. She playfully met his gaze, then with eyes shining, said, "Then you'll see it."

He couldn't help but wonder what she meant by "you'll see it." while he thought, 'Was she going to show me something? Or was she just being her unpredictable self again-'

Then his brain stopped working for one second; Daniel felt sudden disorientation wash over him before even realizing he was at a totally different location. Normally there shouldn't be a problem, maybe she just teleported him to a really far away place, but somehow he could discern that he wasn't anywhere near a place he knew or existed, this was a black otherwordly room with strange and bizarre unknown auroras randomly bustling this place beyond his comprehension, he could perceive and at the same time he couldn't, he was feeling everything and at the same time nothing.

In this surreal environment, Daniel experienced a profound shift in perception. Colors seemed to fade into the background, leaving behind a muted and indistinct landscape. Yet, amidst this disorienting sensation, he felt a strange sense of clarity, as if his senses were heightened to a new level of awareness.

Everything began to suddenly regain its color... he didn't even realize it before, but all colors had suddenly faded, and he somehow didn't find it weird.

Just as suddenly as he had been transported to this mysterious realm, Daniel found himself returning to reality. He exited the strange place from the pink-haired girl's pocket, but instead of normally falling, he felt a strange sensation of weightlessness; his body began to float like a feather on the breeze, swirling in the air before finally hitting the ground. With a silent thud, he landed on the ground, with his senses still reeling from the disorienting experience.

The girl wasted no time and sprung into action, her movements were fluid and graceful as she gathered Daniel in her arms and imitating a toon character, she playfully jerked him a couple of times like a blanket before, with a final puff, he regained his usual three-dimensional volume, solidifying his presence once more in the familiar world.

Authors note

First, most of y'all must have realized, but I just had an epiphany in my writing... I'm still absorbing what I learned today, perhaps... I overtuned this chapter?

Second: All right, this shit is near its end! Just 1-2 more chapters, and then all of this pinkie stuff will end...

Man... I really wanted to do more stuff with her...

Also, let's see if someone catches the indirect I'm trying to say within this and the next chapter... clue: start with the letter L... and end with K... It's actually the sword name of a certain gentleman just for like a few seconds before it's changed.

Also, I am going to upload something special this Wednesday, so prepare yourself!
