Chapter 70 Mommy? Sorry... Mommy? Sorry...

Dante and Daniel turned to meet the stranger, their faces turned upwards, to meet a whopping 2.4 meters titanous burly girl in front of them, her muscular frame rippled beneath her skin, accentuated by the faint outline of tattoos that adorned her impressive and imposing caramel body. Her teeth, sharp and canine-like, peeked out from behind a mischievous grin, and a pair of pointed hyena ears twitched atop her head.

Her clothes were an intriguing mix of practicality and style. She wore clothes made of leather that, at first glance, seemed to offer little to no protection. However, if one looked closer, it revealed that it was more a part of her unique style than a poorly made design that shows too much skin and fails to accomplish the actual objective of armor1.

The girl exuded an air of confidence as she broke the silence, her voice resonating in the bustling street with warmth, "Oh right, I haven't introduced myself. Amelia, nice to meet you." Said the muscular figure poised for a handshake.

She turned to one of the strangers, Daniel, who responded first, presenting himself to the unknown girl, simply replying politely but cautiously, "Daniel."

On the other hand, Dante was about to energetically present himself too but wavered for a moment before speaking, but failed to do so as the towering shadow of the girl shrouded him, "Um... Mo-" he bit his tongue to prevent any silliness come out of his mouth then quickly corrected himself to prevent any stupid comments, exclaiming joyfully, "Dante!"

Amelia, noting the strange hesitation of the pink-haired girl, raised an eyebrow inquisitively. "Modante?" she questioned, seeking clarification; for her, that seemed like a strange name for a girl, heck! A strange name in general.

With a hint of embarrassment coloring his cheeks for such a foolish mistake, Dante made a negating hand gesture, explaining to her in a jumble, "No, just Dante! We just mispronounced, don't worry!"

Amelia, unfazed by the petty linguistic hiccup, flashed a warm smile at the duo, exclaiming, "Nice to meet both of you, and as I was saying, This is an event; the system automatically does one from time to time. Usually, it makes combat events, but not all of them gotta be like that; this is a cosmetic or visual event. The only purpose is so we enjoy it! Because mental health is really important, and it shouldn't be neglected."

Daniel internally groaned at the possibility of dealing with yet another exuberant player. Despite his inward thoughts, he maintained a poker face so as not to betray his inner musings, 'Great... another over-enthusiastic girl, I hope they don't end up together. Dealing with two players like this simultaneously would be a nightmare.'

The towering hyena girl extended her hand, offering them each an abstract pendant that resembled a puzzle. Her voice carried a hint of earnestness as she spoke, "They say that without friends, you aren't complete, and I think it's true. Go and enjoy a great day with everyone, and if you don't have anyone, then this is the best time to make new friends for one night and not in that sense!"

Meeting Daniel's gaze with a determined intensity, the girl's brows furrowed slightly, a hint of concern flickering in her eyes. With a swift motion, she took a mirror out of the system and pointed at Daniel's face.

She exclaimed at his apathetic vibrance, "You are missing something..." her voice, brimming with enthusiasm, yelled, "Kind of... Like a smile!" Daniel's expression remained motionless, yet without warning, the mirror in the girl's hand shattered into a thousand glittering shards, catching fragmented glimpses of his brittle reflection in the broken shards.

Quickly dropping to her knees to clean up the mess, the girl's voice betrayed her embarrassment as she hastily apologized, "I was sure I didn't apply enough strength... sorry for that!" she mumbled, flushing with embarrassment as she hurriedly swept away the remnants of the broken mirror.

After saying this, Daniel watched how the girl got up and walked away, losing herself in the masses and lights; he couldn't shake the bewilderment within him.

He turned to the side just to see how his friend had an entirely new brand set of clothes that clicked with the extravagant theme of this event.

Daniel rubbed his eyes, blinking in disbelief and attempting to see if reality played tricks. Yet, the sight before him remained the same, prompting him to utter his incredulity in a hushed tone with his voice trailing off, "Since... when...???"

Dante nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders. He was more engrossed in the task of petting a group of black cats that had appeared out of nowhere, exclaiming, "Neither do I, but isn't he a cutie!!!"

Selecting one particularly endearing cat with the number 13, Dante presented it to Daniel with a playful gleam in his eyes.

The cat, seemingly unperturbed by the attention, regarded Daniel with a curious tilt of its head before emitting a soft, *meow*

With a firm grip on the cute kitty, the girl reached out and grabbed Daniel with his free hand. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she pulled Daniel along. Her voice echoed through the air, filled with infectious enthusiasm, "Amelia said we should make the most of this, and I couldn't agree more with the stranger!"

Daniel sighed, feeling frustrated as he struggled against the girl's grip. He tried to break free from the girl's grip, but the strength of the new body completely astonished him. Yet, the most surprising thing in this ordeal was that somehow he didn't feel pain; the girl was controlling his strength this time.

Sensing his mental discomfort, the girl abruptly stopped above a place with a great view of the sky to untighten her grasp, "Sorry, we forgot that my strength will be up all the way to the top! And, uh, sorry to you too, little guy," she added, addressing the black cat with a touch of guilt.

The cat replied with a reassuring and enthusiastic *meow*

With a gentle gesture, the girl placed the cat, with the distinctive number 13 on its head, above Daniel's head like a funny hat. Daniel wanted to toss it away, but he recognized the innocence in its gaze; the poor animal didn't have to do anything with his problems.

Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, Daniel stared for a few seconds, deeply analyzing while she sat down. He decided to ask, and with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion, "Ever since I woke up and saw you," he began, his voice tinged with uncertainty, "I've had this feeling. At first, it was just a nagging hunch, but now... now I'm certain of it." He paused, his gaze fixing on her as he awaited her response.

Unfazed by his question, the girl nonchalantly replied on the ground while munching on a bucket of popcorn covered in chocolate, "What is it? we hope it's fast because the sky's about to put on quite the show with those comets!" She added with her usual carefree demeanor, "And they are quite pretty and amazing! Also, make a wish!"

Daniel's suspicion deepened at her casual response, driving him to press further with one of the most simplest questions, "Are you in actual control?"

...

"Why am I feeling a deja vu...?"

Authors note;

First... Yes, The super detailed description at the start is COMPLETELY NECESSARY! trust me

Second...

I KNOW! THIS CHAPTER WAS LATE!!! I was sure I pressed in the app to upload this at 1 PM, NOT 1 AM!

I was reading a Chinese novel my friend presented to me, and I had an idea, so I began to write a character cultivation for a near event.

So I went to Inkstone and realized... "Uh... Shouldn't there be one chapter more?"

Also... Man reading Chinese novels really gives me a lot of ideas about 'what details should I place.'
