A Dance

An alarm could be heard in a mansion coming from one the larger room filled with swords, spears and daggers on the wall, posters of different fighters from the Great Clans, other Clans, a few government ones as well and walls painted in a dark shade of blue.

He looked at the poster and just felt how sleepy he was, took a quick bath before going to the training room to meet his adoptive siblings and grandfather.

Soon he reached training room at the top of house where he saw Nephis and Leonardo, one holding a blade and the other a blood reaper, the two fought as they always did, while Adrian just held his spear and trained on his own as he was lacking when compared to those 2.

So he moved his spear while trying to get a better grasp on how to make his movements unreadable he'd tried adding dance, but he felt like he'd only be dancing with death if he tried to actually make it a reliable fighting as it was something where if you failed to kill you're opponent you would end up dead.

So for now he focused on finding his own foundation, though it felt like he never would and even if he did he wouldn't be able to compare to Nephis or Leonardo.

He just kept at it for until his arms started hurting as he always did, this time though he found that Nephis and Leonardo had already left the training room and his grandfather was staring at him with an unreadable expression.

"Umm...Auster you're still here?" He asked the man who'd taken him in a few years ago, unsure of how to speak to him since he wasn't as comfortable around him as the other 2.

He continued looking at the boy before standing, and as he did it seemed like the amour he was wearing was reaching its limits as the temperature was already rising before it finally stopped after going up.

"Auster how are you feeling?" He asked while staring at him as, though waiting for a reaction.

He kept quiet for a few seconds unsure of how to answer before just telling the truth.

"I'm tired and a little sleepy but other than that I'm ok, how about you?" He replied while trying to sound as respectful and not over the top.

"I'm not sure how to tell you this, but you're infected by the Nightmare and by the looks of it you only have a few days left. As you know I've told all of you all you should know about the Spell and your first Nightmare so good luck. Feel free to ask me anything or spend your time how you want too." He with a hint of sadness in his eyes that Adrian couldn't see.

He soon left but as he stopped at the door he said something to him. "Don't worry, with all you know, you will survive and though your fighting style may be lacking you can add anything you want to it so don't stress yourself out to much." He said to the young man before going through the door.

Adrian was lost in his thoughts with many things raging in his head from how he got infected before those two, to how the Winter Soltace was barely a month away, to many more things.

Just like that he was in a pod provided by his grandfather under their house, which could even withstand blows from Awakened NC's and a few Ascended for a time.

"Just be careful and remember none of it is real." The old man said as Adrain fell asleep.

He thought of how many people he'd put down and now he might have to do it to the child he'd promised to protect once his parents didn't make it from the 2NM.
