27.Kakashi’s Decision

After Sasuke asked Naruto to train him, Naruto contemplated and thought many things and possibilities. He then replied "All right Sasuke. I'll help you train. And also wait till you are ready to destroy the council." Sasuke nodded, but Kakashi had an awkward expression on his face as he stared at the two of them. He didn't know what to say to them. He was their sensei, but he had no words to say, but at this time he was brought out of his thoughts as Naruto called him "Kakashi sensei, what's your decision? Whose side are you on?"

Kakashi heard this question, but was really confused. He was born in Konoha and loved the village. He was ready to give his life for the village as well, but after hearing Naruto's story, he didn't know what to trust anymore. He never even thought that the Village he loved had such a dark side which killed of their own Shinobi or an entire clan for some greedy people to maintain their power. He never thought that the Hokage that he swore to protect was in on all this, but didn't take any action to stop any of it from happening.

He was thinking so very hard on what to do. On one side was his village, which he loved and on the other side was his Sensei's son and also the last Uchiha who were his students and who were also betrayed by the village. Finally after thinking for a long time, he came to a conclusion and spoke "Naruto, Sasuke, if you plan on destroying or damaging the village, I'm against it and I'll fight you to protect the village even if I'm no match for you, I'll fight you and die trying."

Hearing his reply, Naruto frowned and Sasuke became angry. And at this time, not minding their reactions, Kakashi continued "But, if you are just against the council, I'll help you gather the evidence against them and also be on your side. If you don't harm the village and only go against the council of elders, then I'm on your side." Naruto who heard Kakashi's words asked "Kakashi sensei, what I plan to do is Kill Danzo and the other two elders. If Hiruzen, or any other ninjas comes in between without accepting his mistakes, I'll kill them as well. You can gather evidence on their wrong deeds, but the final verdict is their death. Do you accept?"

Kakashi once again started contemplating Naruto's words and after some time of thinking, he spoke "But, if you kill them off, the village will be in turmoil and it will affect the whole village." Naruto shook his head "Do you think I care about the small matter Kakashi sensei? I'll kill whoever opposes me and I don't care about the consequences. If it was before, I would have definitely destroyed everything by now. But I met someone I love and want to protect and also my father who stayed with me for some time and asked me not to harm the village. That why I choose to kill the council."

Kakashi started thinking for some more time and finally nodded saying "Fine. I understand where you are getting at. It's good to end the corruption in the village. First we need evidence. After collecting the evidence against the council, we can take action and justify our actions. I'll help you in this matter as well". Naruto nodded at Kakashi and thought 'No matter what, I can't trust Kakashi fully. The first thing he might do is report to Hiruzen about this as soon as we get back to the village. But either way, after fighting Kakuzu, I'm sure that I can defeat both Hiruzen and Danzo together if we fight and nobody can stop me from escaping'.

He then turned to Sasuke and spoke "Sasuke, let's first return to the village. Act as if you didn't hear anything. We'll train together from now after reaching the village." Sasuke also nodded and all three of them left back to Tazuna's house. After some time, everyone packed their stuff and both team Kakashi and team Kurenai left the land of waves and went in the direction of Konoha. Sakura started her own flirting with Sasuke, which he ignored as usual. Kakashi and Kurenai moved silently. Kiba just stared at Naruto often. Hinata also took peaks at Naruto some times. Shino just minded his own business.

At the same time in land of Rain. A black humanoid plant type figure came out of the earth and stood before a person with orange hair and piercings and spoke "Nagato, Hidan and Kakuzu is dead." Nagato surprised asked "Who did it zetsu?" Zetsu answered "It was leaf ninja. More importantly, it was the Jinchuriki of the Nine tails. That kid has good control over Ninetails chakra and is strong. He took on Hidan and Kakuzu and killed both of them. Hidan was burnt down with black flames similar to Amaterasu of Itachi and Kakuzu was blown by a ninjutsu he released. I don't know how he used that flame as I didn't concentrate on Hidan much thinking he can't be killed".

Nagato nodded and said "No need to worry. He is nothing. Against the power of a god, everyone else are ants". Zetsu frowned and said "Nagato, don't take him lightly. He's just 13 years old now and at the level of a Kage. He will get much stronger as he grows up. We might have to change some of our plans." After saying this, he waited for a reply, but as he didn't hear anything from Nagato, he shook his head and went back inside the earth thinking 'I have to rely on Madara and resurrect him soon. Maybe I can also use the nine tails Jinchuriki for my plans if everything fails. But I have no Idea how that kid became so strong at such an young age. I'll report it to Obito anyway. Mother, just wait. I'll release you soon. Hehehehe'.
