Chapter 2 (part 5)

Team Seven stood in their formation with Sasuke and Naruto at the front and Tsuyu at the rear. Although they are younger, their aura were menacing making team Guy gulp.

"They're strong." Neji warned his team.

Guy became the referee and he announced the rule.

"Guys be careful and keep in mind that this is only a spar and also we have a mission to do tomorrow."

"The rule is simple, even if one of your teammates get knockout, the whole team is wiped."

Guy was told of Tsuyu ability to heal and restore chakra, making him look at the boy with jealousy.

But his mind was eased up a lot, like they have an extra life if Tsuyu is well protected.

"Start now!"

Team Guy assumed a defensive formation, the best one they're at.

Sasuke grinned at the sight and he rushed over. He had been wanting to try out his newly acquired three tomoe Sharingan and now he's got the perfect chance!

Before the opponent team could react perfectly, Sasuke appeared before Neji, who was said to be the strongest and also the member of a rival clan.

Although it would have been better to take out the weakest one and win the fight as soon as possible, this fight was called a spar for a reason.

'Test my limits!'

When the Uchiha clan was in their glorious days, only the Hyuga could contend with them to an extent.

Both the clan possess the infamou Great-three Dojutsu bloodline: the Sharingan and the Byakugan making them have an edge over the average shinobi.

Neji veins appread around his eyes as he activated the Byakugan.

Sasuke his feirce attacks and Neji had to pop his ability.

"Rotation!"

Neji turned into a ball of rotating chakra using the technique reflecting Sasuke attacks. The later flew out and had to retreat with blood dripping his nose.

His intention was to not lose even if tbe technique will rendered him useless due to it's huge chakra consumption.

Neji didn't seemed to care about the mission anymore and earlier, he wasn't told of what Tsuyu could do so his intention of wanting to hurt his comrade seemed bad to Guy, who shook his head in denial.

"Tsk, that defense is disgusting." Sasule told his team.

"That's the famous Byakugan." Naruto nodded. He didn't not believe he could go through that defense making him frown at his powerlessness again.

'What was that power from earlier..' Naruto couldn't help but remember the nine-tail power that he experience in the noon.

'I need more strength if I don't want to loss again Tsuyu and Sasuke.'

He clench his fist...

"Do you want my power.." A menacing voice rang inside Naruto's head.

"Naruto watch out!" Warned Sasuke as Lee appeared behind Naruto.

Luckily Naruto escaped with a hair-length from the punch.

Lee seeing his surprise attack fail, focused to Tsuyu who was being 'protected' at the back.

'He's their weak point!'

The other person had closed his eyes with a folded arms, making him frown in displeasure.

"Hidden lotus!" Lee spun his body and quickly arrived near Tsuyu. He swung his fist with all his strength!

The air around his fish twirled and whistled.

Maybe jealousy from the opponent talents... Lee wanted to harm Tsuyu.

Tsuyu still had his eyes closed.

He finally heard the familiar sound again in a long while.

<You've reached a higher understanding of the ice element>

<Ice-release has been unlocked>

<Ice-release is reacting with your nature-release>

<Crystal-release has been unlocked>

Tsuyu smirked as a hard diamond shield appeared infront of him.

Crackkk!

A loud scream of Lee followed, whose hands had been shattered.

"Gaaahhhhh!! My HAND!"

Guy appeared infront of Lee and stopped the fight.

"Team Kakashi is the winner!"

Lee's arm had been turned into minced meat and the cries of pain from Lee was agonising everyone, and it even woke up Tazuna who looked around in confusion, waiting for someone to explain.

Tsuyu took back his crystal-release and walked towards Lee.

"Geeezz! Stop crying I'll heal it."

Tsuyu eventually turned the hand back to it's peak situation.

Now that the pain was gone, Lee finally came back to his sense. He bowed his head and apologized.

"I'm sorry Tsuyu-san for trying to harm you!"

Lee was someone who knew how to be grateful, he came from a humble origin and was mindful of other's grace. The other people had healed his hands even when he was in the wrong.

"Alright alright, just don't do it again we're from the same village after all."

Tsuyu didn't mind, he knew in his heart that Lee would've pulled back the attack in the last moment... even if Lee didn't he would dodge, the movement was slow to his heightened sense.

Lee felt like tearing up from the other side's magnanimity.

He wipe his tears and cheeared!

"Yosh! I've learnt my lesson! As a punishment I'll push up a thousand time with just my pinky!"

"...." Everyone watched blankly as Lee went to his shenanigans.

"Those are nice abilities Tsuyu-san. Are they keke-genkai?" TenTen walked up and asked, she was curious of all the rare abilities.

If only I had one of it...

"Yeah Tsuyu! Isn't that Ice-release? Can you also copy keke-genkai?" Asked Naruto.

Tsuyu nodded.

Copying bloodline limit was possible. Even the Sharingan, he just didn't want to because the person that possess Sharingan doesn't seem stable? Whatever my mind always changes later.

"That's not fair!! You're hansome, rich and have so much abilities! Oh god whyyy!"

Naruto pulled Tsuyu hair in frustration and the later had to run to escape.

"Gah! Leave me alone Narutoo!"

TenTen laughed as the boys play catch.

Sasuke looked up the sky... Tsuyu is our gap widening even more?

The fight had given him a new insight of himself.

Everyone seems to be starting to overpower him... Neji's defense.... Lee's speed.

Have I gone stagnant?

"Sigh... brother.."

Sasuke couldn't help but reminish his childhood. Earlier the day, Tsuyu told him the secret behind his clan demise.

How his clan had plotted a coup and Itachi who hate war could only slaughter the clan himself for the better good and if it had been someone else, Sasuke's life wouldn't be spared.

And now he can't say if he's mad at Itachi anymore.

But why did the village do it...

Such thoughts remained as Tsuyu didn't fully tell him the truth. Tsuyu wanted his friend to find out the full truth on his own. It'll be good for him...

Tsuyu knew he couldn't always baby-feed Naruto and Sasuke. He needed friends not subordinate. He would show them the way, the rest is their choice.

Tsuyu voice kept ringing inside Sasuke's head. "Sasuke... the past is gone.. now let us work hard for a world where no one will have to suffer a fate worse as us."

I don't know Tsuyu... I just want to stop feeling vulnerable...

Sasuke sighed as he looked at the stars.

....

"They're strong." Guy said walking towards the fireplace making Kakashi look up from his book.

"I know."

"I can't say I'm not disappointed by my team..." Guy glanced at the training Lee, his eyes softened.

"Instead of focusing on grooming themselves, they are contended and instead tries bringing down others instead."

"They're still young. Give them time." Kakashi returned to reading the book again.

"Do you want to train along?" Guy asked Kakashi.

Kakashi shook his head, and joined Lee shouting "That's the power of youth!" making everyone question their sanity.

TenTen wondered if they are doing an outing or a dangerous B-rank mission.
