Chapter – 51: Meeting the Mizukage again

[Rei Clone POV]

A week later, just like I promised, Naosuke became a healthy man again. Although still weak, there is no poison in his body anymore. After another couple of weeks of rest, he should be good to go home.

I still smile when I think about the Yuki clan patriarch's promise, 'I can't thank you enough for saving my son's life. You really do live up to the name of God's Hand. From this day forth you are the benefactor and friend of my clan. In the future, if you need anything, just come to me, I will never let you return empty-handed!'

'If only he knew the real reason…' I chuckle looking at the thirty-seven neatly placed test tubes with blood in them, 'I didn't think I would hit a jackpot so soon. These should be enough to completely analyze the Ice Release Kekkei Genkai. But, how should I send these to Konoha? Should I go with the original plan? Impending war is making many people crazy, I heard a lot of bandits are popping up everywhere and there are many shinobis among them too…'

'How about I send them in batches? I do have a few drops of each sample, I can take a risk once and send a small amount of each using my original plan and see…'

'It won't be a big loss even if I lose them, but if I am successful, it should be enough for the initial research…'

'Also…' I think looking at another test tube filled with a thick brownish liquid. This is actually the poison I isolated from Naosuke's blood! I don't know who attacked him, but this thing is actually pretty good.

'This could come in handy for the clone while traveling back to Konoha…'

Just when I was about to visit the Mizukage in his office and request to go out of the village, I suddenly stop and smile weirdly, 'Interesting, I might have to postpone this meeting for a few days…'

A Few days later, the Mizukage office.

"Heard you wanted to meet me? what is it? not happy with the arrangements?" he asks with a smile.

"Oh no, Mizikage-sama. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I wanted to meet you because I have some unfinished business in the Land of Noodles that I want to take care of. So, I will be going out of the village for a few days," I say.

"It's too dangerous to go out these days… why don't you tell me what you need to do, I can have my anbu do it for you…"

"I am grateful for your consideration, but it concerns the life of a patient I was looking after when I was there. As I don't want to leave my patient's treatment midway, I have to go visit him."

"If you say so, but just to be safe, I will send a couple of anbus to escort you there…"

"That is acceptable, once again thanks for everything…"

As I was leaving the office, I hear the Mizukage asking, "By the way, what did you do with the blood samples after testing them?"

"Oh that, I was about to destroy them. Why do you ask Mizukage-sama? If you want I can send them over to you…"

"Nothing, just that the research department has collected some too for similar reasons… while you are at it, why don't I send them over to you so you can destroy them together?" he asks with a sly smile.

"Mmm, Ok. I don't mind some extra work at all," I say with a similar smile.

Looking at each other in silence for a second, both of us burst into laughter.

After leaving the Mizukage's office, I go back to my apartment to prepare for the journey.

Sometime later that day, an anbu came with the blood samples that the Mizukage spoke of. There were not that many of them, one from the Kaguya clan and two from the Terumi clan. However, these samples all belonged to experts. The lowest-ranked one among them was an ordinary Jonin, and the one from the Kaguya clan even had Shikotsumyaku!

'He's baiting…' I think with a smile.

This is a classic technique to get someone hooked. Don't give him too much, if you do they might just take it and leave, and similarly don't give too little, or they would see no value in staying with you.

Anyway, this setup works in my favor, so I am not going to worry about it too much.

The next day, I and the two escorting anbus leave Kirigakure. It takes around two days to reach The Land of Noodles from Kiri, but most of the travel needs to be done on water. The travel itself was boring as hell. I couldn't even practice Ninjutsu or Taijutsu as I was on a ship. So, I spent most of my time inside the cabin resting or improving and finalizing my plan for what is about to come…

Two days later, I was standing on the deck calmly looking at the land getting closer and closer. 'Don't disappoint me Konoha, I have great expectations from you…' I think with a smile.

When I started this plan for Kiri, I already knew that the most dangerous foe will never be Kiri, no, it will be Konoha!

Let's think from the Hokage's perspective for a second; A few months after Tsunade was knocked out, a miracle doctor who has the potential to match her achievements in medical ninjutsu appears out of nowhere in Kiri? How can there be such a coincidence? As they already know I didn't do it to confirm if she had blood phobia, the first suspicion they will have is, I knocked Tsuande out and used some hidden technique to steal her knowledge?

And the more important question is, did I only steal her techniques or have all of Konoha's secrets that Tsunade was aware of been exposed? As a Senju who is related to the first and second Hokage and a student of the current, she did know a lot of those. If it's the latter then I deserve to be on the top of Konoha's Bingo book!

Hiruzen might want to investigate first and then decide how to act, but with Danzo and the council? I don't need to answer that question. This trip will reveal it all…
