Chapter 11: Jealousy

Estann POV

I was always the obedient son, the always responsible son. I was always on top of my studies and on training. I didn't ask for anything that I wanted as long my parent are happy and proud. Everyone in Kazimel looked up to me as a respected crown prince. I was never selfish. They say I was so mature. So I was used on that role in life. To be that favoured and expected crown prince to be. At a young age, I was arranged marriage to the daughter of Kazim of Roveren. Her name was Aenemy.

I followed my father's order that I must marry her in exchange for trade of gold to Kazimel. I met her when I was 8 years old and she was 5 years of age. She was too clingy and too noisy which makes my ears hurt. So I complained to my father.

"Father, I don't want this"

"This is new, what is it that you don't want son?"

"The marriage, I don't like it"

I bowed my head and nervously fiddling my fingers while waiting for a response from my father. I hear footsteps coming towards me then suddenly father patted my shoulder

" If you don't want it then okay"

I was happy about what he said but..

"I will just find another candidate suited for you"

He wasn't giving up about the whole marriage thing. He thougt he could change my mind but when I met Ari I already set my heart for her. I love her cheerfulness and those emerald eyes.

Thats when I decided, I wanted Ari as my bride from the moment I saw her and I don't want anyone else to have her. After my proposal for Ari I was mad and disappointed with myself that why can't she choose to be her partner for her debut I thought I was lacking. That's when I decided to tell my father about my feelings for Ari.

"No! You will marry the daughter of Kazim and that is final"

"I dont want that annoying girl. I want Ariadna to be my bride. I have done anything you've asked for ever since I was a child. Can't you just give me this request of mine?"

I was angry. I thought Father forgot about that marriage to Aenemy. I literally poured out my anger on him this time. Why can't he just grant what I want.

"I will not let you jeopardize the economy of our kingdom. Follow your duties and not your heart"

Father banged the table to the point everything on top of it fell to the ground. I was so mad I walked out of the room. I was taking a walk to clear my head. I saw Ariadna and Kabel together in the garden holding hands, sitting side by side. I clenched my fist out of anger. Kabel you were a threat from the start.
