『 Meeting the family 』

Rina was born in the Kyoto prefecture of Japan, to a family of 4.

'My new family seem pretty cool, it seems like Apollo gave me the ability to understand Japanese' thought the girl, now known as Rina Hatsume.

Including herself, there is her mother 'Kana Hatsume' a scientist who isn't at home much due to her work, her father 'Shino Hatsume' a hero costume designer who works from home and her older by 4 minutes twin sister 'Mei Hatsume'.

As Rina awoke in this new world she noticed she was already a toddler, she was currently 3 years and 10 months old. As she came to she was bombarded by a plethora of memories that gave her a mild headache which caused her to stumble down the stairs whilst she was playing with her parents and she hit her head on the wooden handrail.

This caused her to be knocked out cold and wake up a few minutes later in her yellow single bed.

As she rose from her slumber she immediately noticed that she couldn't move, on top of her was a crying mess with golden eyes and long pink hair tied in dreads that resembled tentacles. [ A/N: Look up Mei's hair it really does look like that ]

"Rina are you okay? does your head hurt?" asked her twin sister Mei.

"No Nee-san I'm fine." dazedly replied Rina, lost in thought she began to observe her surroundings.

'How should I explain my changes in personality? Would it be fine to have them believe it's because of the head injury?' thought Rina whilst wincing at the pain that came from lightly touching the newly formed bump on her head.

The room she was in had white walls with a fluffy brown carpet, 2 yellow single beds and drawer cabinets on either side of the room along with one big wardrobe which seemed to be shared between her and her sister.

There was an open window on the opposite side of the room that allowed one to gaze upon the backyard garden full of flowers and a sole sakura tree. On the roof was a square trapdoor which seemed to be connected to a ladder that leads to the attic but it was currently closed.

Suddenly there was the sound of a herd of bulls stampeding which made Rina think that the end of her new life was swiftly approaching.

"MY BABYY! ARE YOU IN PAIN? DOES IT HURT?" shouted the clearly distraught man who seemed as if he had witnessed someone's death.

Rina recognised this behemoth of a man as her overprotective father, he had short indigo hair that was shifted to the side, Bright gold eyes with unique crosshair shaped iris' that were showcased behind his round black glasses and a large rotund pot belly that resembled a certain hippo who "likes 'em big and chunky". [ A/N: Moto Moto is thicc ]

Somewhere on a tropical island, a large crying hippo sneezed " *achoo* She left me for a giraffe! *cries*".

"I feel fine dad" replied Rina pushing her sister off of her which resulted in a yelp.

"waa!"

"No, you need to stay in bed we don't know if you have another concussion." firmly stated Shino with a deadly serious expression.

"What do you mean by 'another' dad?" curiously asked Rina with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't you remember when your mother dropped the two of you girls on your heads when she took you to her lab?" Shino said in a clearly annoyed tone, before having a shoe thrown at his head.

"Don't you take that tone with me Mr, and at least the girls got some good out of it, they never would have gained an interest in technology otherwise." said a rather attractive woman with pink dreads and sharp blue eyes adorning a white lab coat who magically appeared behind Shino.

The woman in question is Rina's mother, Kana Hatsume, a self-proclaimed 'crazy scientist who will show the world the power of her glorious babies'. [ A/N: at least we know where Mei got it from ]

"Yes Ma'am!" stiffly replied Shino as he saluted like a soldier, unmoving, clearly afraid of Kana.

'I guess he doesn't wear the pants in this family.' thought Rina as she giggled at the interactions of her quirky family.

Kana then held out a pair of red boots with metal vents on their sides and white circular pads on their bottoms which appear to be riddled with holes or some kind of design defect.

"Now then Rina, since you've woken up you can help me and Mei fix our new baby, the 'Air assist boots' all we have to do now is make sure that it doesn't explode." said Kana with a bright smile, causing Rina to sweatdrop at what she just said.

'She just said 'explode' right? How in the hell did some boots explode?' thought Rina.

"Actually, you can do that without me, right? I'm don't really want to risk having my face blown off" said Rina curing her father of his statue-like state and practically bounce in excitement, while her sister and mother acted like it was the end of the world.

"Nooo, Rina your joking right? Please say you're joking. I can't show my babies to the world without you, they'll all blow up otherwise." Begged a pouting Mei.

'Maybe she should stop being an inventor and become a terrorist instead, seems like it is her true calling' amusedly thought Rina before immediately dismissing the idea, not wanting to give her crazy sister any ideas.

"You want to become the best inventor in the world don't you nee-san? So you should learn to not make your toys explode all the time." she encouraged.

"THEY'RE NOT TOYS, THEY'RE MY BABIES!" yelled a noticeably triggered Mei, seemingly forgetting the fact that her sister doesn't want to become an inventor anymore.

"Did you hitting your head again make you lose all interest in tinkering and making new things?" asked a visibly confused and concerned Kana, as Rina would normally be the most enthusiastic person when it comes to technology.

"I don't know what happened but thank god there's one less crazy person in this house." beamed Shino, before shivering and backing away from the look Kana was giving him.

Kana, with a cold look in her eyes and a smile that was clearly fake on her face, said "Oh, and who is this crazy person may I ask?".

"Oh would you look at the time, I better get going to work." quickly replied Shino whilst backing away from the scary monster in front of him.

"You work from home, get your butt back here now!" shouted Kana as she took off her other shoe and proceeding to chase her husband around the house.

"Mum's really angry isn't she?" a shivering Mei asked Rina, knowing the answer but wanting confirmation anyway.

"Yeah she is, let's go to the 'super secret lab' ." suggested Rina, not wanting to get hit by the dangerous throwing weapon that is her mother's shoe. [ A/N: my mum could throw a shoe at me from the kitchen whilst I'm in my bedroom, and my room is in the attic! She got aim assist and wall hax ]

"Yeah, we can make our babies better! Let's go." Mei bobbed her head in excitement before leading the way to the super secret lab, A.K.A the attic.

'Maybe this life won't be so boring' thought Rina with a faint smile on her face whilst thinking of all the possibilities this world has to offer.
