143 142. Experience

They enjoyed their lunch and chatted leisurely. Unknown to Susan that her practical experience was coming near.

The sky started ripping from some pressure that was acting upon it. It was like a rift had opened up in the sky.

People were scared when they looked at the sky. The sensible ones started running for shelter and the teens started filming the whole thing with their phones.

"Well, looks like your experience is here." King smiled motioned to Susan.

Who was looking outside at the mayhem being cause on the world. It was a doomsday scene in front of her eyes.

"What's happening?" Susan was astonished and asked hesitantly.

"It's raining fire out there." King pointed out the obvious for her.

"We need to help those people." Susan sprung into action immediately.

She used her forcefield as a sort of spring to push her off like a rocket and charged towards the falling debris that were about to crush a mother and daughter pair.

"Skynet, start protocol rescue." King commanded while speaking to his watch.

"Affirmed, sir." Skynet said and sent a message to Red Queen in the spaceship.

Beams of light descended to the ground and multiple androids were left in the city to help people from the wreckages and save innocent lives.

Just then his phone started ringing and King looked at the caller id.

"What's up Emma?" He asked and looked at the holographic picture of Emma projected through the phone.

"Do you need help?" Emma didn't beat around the bush and asked.

"Not really, I'm just having fun." King shook his head and showed her the ongoing chaos.

"You know sometimes doubt whether you are a hero or a villain." Emma was a bit exasperated by this.

"I am neither dear. I am a watcher, just a watcher." King said with a smile and walked through the chaos filled streets.

The androids were hard at work currently. They had mostly cleaned the whole city of any civilians. This was the most King was willing to do for the people.

'Any damage to the infrastructure is none of my business.' King shrugged his shoulder and looked at the Fantastic Four that had come to the streets to help.

The rift kept on expanding. A silhouette could be seen faintly getting visible ever so slowly.

'Just about ten minutes to arrival huh.' King looked at it just kept on watching.

"Yo guys." King got near them and greeted.

"Are these guys working for you?" Ben asked ahead everyone while looking at the androids that had finished evacuating everyone.

"Yeah, they are the androids that I created for emergencies like these." King nodded his head and explained.

"What you would expect from the greatest scientist this world has ever seen." Reed didn't mind complimenting after hearing King's words. He was quite open with his compliments as well.

"You have to show me how they work?" Johnny was fascinated because he likes this sort of stuff the most. He works with mechanics and this is dream come true for him.

"Sure, let's get through this first." King nodded his head and looked up to see the silhouette getting clearer with everyone.

"King, can you call others for support?" Susan asked with a bit of timidity. This was their first fight and it looked like the opponent way too powerful.

"No need, we are here." A sound came from behind them.

"Howard, you cheeky guy. How long has it been?" King looked back and saw Howard coming towards them.

He had a black skin tight armour on his body. It looked like a special mesh of metals. It was black and looked like Black Panther's armour.

It was just more towards the simpler side of things and not like Black Panther's animalistic armour.

"It's been 2 years since you last bothered to visit me. It's always me calling you as well. Even Tony has gotten out of hand these days." Howard couldn't help it and started going on a rant.

"Bitch, if I didn't come then you could come to visit me right?" King looked at him like a pathetic worm and said.

"Hmph, fuck you. Why do you think I will do that?" Howard just huffed haughtily.

"They really are best friends." Susan said and others nodded at her words.

"You think so?" The others looked a bit skeptical at this declaration.

"So, what you doing here?" King stopped arguing and asked.

"Same thing as what you are doing here." Howard shrugged and said.

"I mean I made you powerful enough but I don't need you here. So, shoo shoo." King looked at him and waved at him like shooing away a dog.

"Bitch, it's my hard work that put me here." Howard crossed his arms in front of his chest and said arrogantly.

"you wanna say that again?" King circled his neck with his arm and gave it a good tug and squeeze.

"Yeah, I did it all by myself." Howards didn't back down even from that and said.

King couldn't keep the secret from his friend after so many years and finally told him everything. After all, they have known each other since World War 2.

'I don't want to lose my only best friend after all.' King smiled while thinking if that.

He had helped Howard get powerful. Howard currently had immortality along with Martha and Tony. He had also given him strength rivalling a galaxy destroyer.

'These are enough to not lose my nephew and my best friend.' King was applauding himself on the back for this.

"Hmph, get lost. I barely get time to show off." Howard just harrumphed in arrogance and looked up to see the silhouette was finally visible enough.

'So Galactus huh.' King also looked and saw who it really was.

'Ooo boy, this will be a good warmup.' King touched the back of his neck and twisted it around to hear audible cracks coming out of it.

"What is that?" Johnny asked while feeling a little astonished.
