As Fury led him to the Helicarrier area, Max asked, "By the way, do you want a nano-tech Helicarrier Transformer or a simple Helicarrier Transformer?"
"What's the cost for the nano-tech one?" Fury asked.
"Hmm, I don't know the exact blueprint of the Helicarrier, so it's hard to say," Max replied.
Hearing him, Fury ordered Phil to pass the blueprints to Max. Max looked at the blueprints and said, "10 Billion USD."
Fury nodded and asked, "The simple one is?"
"3 billion USD," Max replied.
"Hmm, let me talk to the higher-ups, and then I will answer. For now, help us solve the defects in the blueprint," Fury nodded and replied.
Max nodded, and silence fell.
After some time, they reached the large underground area where the Helicarrier was being built.
"I thought you said the blueprint is defective?" Max asked as he saw the half-built Helicarrier.
"It is. It's not strong enough to prevent hackers from hacking it," Fury replied.
"So that's what you meant by defective," Max nodded.
"What else do you want in it?" Max asked.
"Some weapons, like those on your car, and... Also, can you make something for me?" Fury listed a few things and then added, "Specifically for you?"
"Yes," Fury nodded.
"What is it?" Max asked.
"A lens for my eyes with all the functions of your smart goggles," Fury replied.
"Eyes? Don't you have only one eye? Hahahaha haaa...cough, it was a joke," Max said and laughed out loud. However, he noticed that he was the only one laughing.
"As for your request, it's 10 million USD," Max said.
Fury gestured to Phil, who gave Max a bank account with 10 million USD. Max took the file and said, "Using taxpayers' money for personal stuff, huh?"
Fury didn't pay any attention to Max's words and asked, "When will it be ready?"
"It's with me," Max shrugged and passed Fury the Focus serum.
"What is this?" Fury took the syringe and asked.
"That's something better than what you asked for," Max replied.
"How do I use it?" Fury nodded and asked.
"Just inject it," Max said, and Fury injected it into the side of his neck, closing his eyes.
"I don't feel anything," Fury said, feeling no apparent changes, not even pain.
"Wait... wait and now," Max said, looking at his watch.
A computer-like screen popped up in front of Fury. He waved his hand, and the screen disappeared. He then looked at Max and was about to ask when another screen popped up, providing a short info about Max.
"It's like a computer in your brain, right?" Max said.
Fury nodded and asked, "How do I control it?"
"Just say 'menu,' and there will be a bunch of settings. Customize it according to your needs," Max said.
Fury nodded and then said, "That serum was filled with nanites, right?"
Max nodded, and then Fury asked, "I hope you won't try to control me through it."
"It's not Terminator, dude," Max replied.
"What's Terminator?" Fury asked.
"Nothing, just saying, why take the risk?" Max said.
"I have read your file, all your activities. You are definitely not a bad guy. That's why," Fury replied and left the room.
"Can I get one too?" Phil asked as Fury left.
"Same price," Max shrugged and passed him the Focus serum.
Phil nodded and then asked Max for his bank account and transferred the money to it.
"Wow, this is really cool," Phil exclaimed.
"By the way, can you make something like a cyborg too?" Phil asked.
"You mean, a half-human, half-robot thing?" Max asked.
Phil nodded. "You have a weird taste," Max said and then gave him the Bloodshot serum.
"10 billion," Max said.
"Can I pay in installments?" Phil scratched his head and asked.
Max nodded and smiled as a thought came to his mind:
Loki: "Mortal, you can't win against a god!"
Phil: "Oh, but I believe I can," saying so, his hand transformed into pulsar blasters.
Loki: "Mummy."
"Hahaha, that will be a funny scene," Max laughed, not noticing others in the room giving him weird looks as he was laughing while looking at the blueprints.
"I heard there is a thin difference between psycho and genius. I guess that's true."
"I agree."
"Shhh, he will hear."
Max's laughter stopped, his lips twitched as he heard others.
"I will just create the program at home," Max said and left with Bucky. Phil accompanied them outside. As Max sat in the car, Phil asked, "Is there any manual for it?"
"Just say 'menu'; it contains a bunch of documents about everything," Max said.
As Bucky was driving the car, he asked, "That Bloodshot, is it true that it can turn you into a half-robot?"
"No, but it's not that much different. One's body will be filled with nanites; Phil is now basically a super soldier with that upgrade," Max replied.
"Do you want him in the organization?" Bucky asked.
"No, he will inherit Fury's position. Hydra sooner or later will strike, and all the blame will be put on Fury. At that time, Phil will take the seat of director," Max said.
Bucky nodded and didn't ask anything else.
"We are here," Bucky said as he reached the destination.
Max nodded and opened the car door to see a restaurant. "Bucky, are you drunk?" Max asked.
"No, I am not," Bucky shook his head and said.
"You are. I said home, and you take me to a fancy restaurant," Max pointed at the restaurant and said.
"It was Selene's order," Bucky replied.
"Selene?" Max
"Yes, she is waiting inside." Bucky nodded, and then Max entered the restaurant and saw Selene sitting there alone, with some idiots ogling at her as she looked gorgeous in a backless black dress.
"Buy this whole place and kick everyone out," Max said, passing the newly acquired bank account to Bucky.
Bucky nodded, and after a few minutes, it was only Max and Selene eating there
