"Boba Fett? Boba FETT! WHERE?!" Gar yelled into his communicator.
"I'm in the back with Sol," Boba clicked off.
Taking a deep breath, Gar looked at the blind man lying on the ground.
"That little sucker just saved your life! I'm so grateful that the best Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy showed up. Otherwise..." Gar shook his head.
"Don't you know that the worst thing you can ever do is tick off a Jedi to the point where he becomes a Sith? I mean I was this close," Gar placed the index finger and thumb on his right hand close as he pinched.
"If I had gone dark side, dang! The whole galaxy would have been in danger. At any rate, everything worked out for the best. I'm going to put some stun cuffs on you, don't resist, the adrenaline is still rushing," Gar smiled as he pulled out the cuffs. Gaza didn't resist, but Gar whacked him in the head with his trainee lightsaber just in case.
Gar noticed the remaining Widows fled at some point. It was something he noticed about them through his interactions with Natalie. They feared powerful, violent men, as if they had been abused, which they had. It was cruel, he didn't want to fight anymore, them or anyone else. The best thing he could do was find a place to meditate and regain his composure, but he didn't.
He took another deep breath and ran to help his friend and Boba Fett.
Natalie was embroiled in her battle in the main room. Prism continued to harass her from afar, and she kept one of her eyes on Taskmaster at all times. Fed up and desperate to help "1D, incapacitate Dreykov. You might have to fight Taskmaster, be careful, he's one of the best combatants on the planet and has lots of weapons. Get me close to the glass man and we'll split," Finished instructing her droid, she used the Widow droid's legs to make a ball surrounded with shields to roll toward Prism.
When she was close enough, 1D used its legs to spring into the air. It separated from Natalie and shot several gas rockets at Dreykov. Taskmaster used his shield to block the projectiles.
Natalie was coming down on top of Prism. She switched to regular guns with bullets. The bullets struck Prism and his body cracked. He fled away from the woman, but she threw a bolo that wrapped his arms and legs. The metallic balls at each end cracked into his body. He fell in agony, unable to move.
Natalie saw that 1D struggled against Taskmaster. She ran to her droid firing at Dreykov, but Taskmaster easily intercepted everything she sent to him.
"Not bad, young lady. Unfortunately, I must kill a talent like you. Dreykov outdid himself when he created such a Widow," Taskmaster complimented.
"She's a Widow?" Dreykov was surprised.
"You haven't noticed? Her movements are like every other Widow here. But she's much better. I could make something of her, would you mind?" He asked Dreykov.
"If you can catch her, she's yours. I don't need a disloyal woman. I wonder which of my Widows she is," Dreykov spoke out loud.
Natalie ignored both of them, she had one target, Dreykov. She ran out of bullets and tossed them aside switching back to her blasters. She continued to fire as she dodged deadly attacks from Taskmaster.
"If you want to catch me, you should reconsider attacking me fatally," Natalie finally spoke.
"Ah, you're trying to get into my head. It's not bad, but you are still young. Height, immaturity, and movements, I estimate you're around sixteen. Dreykov, do have any widows who match that description?" Taskmaster asked.
At first, Dreykov looked surprised, but then he became angry. He didn't show it in an obvious way, the girls learned to mask their emotions from him, and he was naturally good at it. However, Natalie grew up under Dreykov, she understood him and his moods better than he did. Right now, he was angry, "Natasha Romanov, I thought you died. I was a little sad. I gave your sister your spot. I will take care of her after this is over," he said.
She knew what he meant, Yelina was in trouble now that her identity was revealed. It didn't matter, no matter what, tonight she would resolve everything! She worked in tandem with 1D to harass Taskmaster, looking for opportunities to strike Dreykov.
She rolled a gas grenade at Dreykov, but Taskmaster kicked it toward her. She dodged it, but it went off; however, her helmet had its oxygen.
"Excellent suit, you are protected from poisons, gases, and projectiles of unknown grade. The work for the suit is amateurish, but the maker put a lot of thought into it. He cares about you," Taskmaster analyzed Natalie.
Taskmaster took out a sword and sliced one of 1D's legs off. The droid stumbled and then struggled to regain balance. It backed away from Taskmaster, Natalie tried to use this as an opportunity to blast Dreykov.
Before she could move, a small knife slipped through her defenses. It pierced through the armor on her left shoulder and buried itself. It would be hard to extract it. Her left arm dropped as did the gun in her hand. She was one limb down. The situation was hopeless.
For some reason, Taskmaster turned to the Window and ran forward, distancing himself from Dreykov, but not forgetting to throw another knife at Natalie and a spinning blade of some kind at 1D. Planting himself, Taskmaster raised his shield in front and crouched.
A missile flew into the room and struck Taskmaster's shield. The explosion engulfed Taskmaster, but when the smoke cleared the only damage was done to his cape. He rose from behind the shield and took a battle-ready stance.
A man with a jetpack flew into the room and tossed a body to the side. Natalie recognized the person who was tossed aside, "Sol!" She shouted.
She rushed to her side but was conflicted. Her target was there and she had to take care of him.
"Don't worry about the boy, stay on target," Boba Fett's voice came over the comms.
She knew he was right, besides, she saw him moving. He was okay. Natalie rushed toward Dreykov had a weapon of his own and kept shooting at 1D. Dreykov was saved from her shot by a small shield.
Boba Fett blasted at Taskmaster, it didn't look like he was using the stun setting. It was getting harder for Taskmaster to protect Dreykov from three antagonists. He threw a spinning blade at Natalie and it sliced her blaster apart.
"I won't let you kill my client," Taskmaster said.
"He's no good to me dead," Boba Fett responded.
"Still, he's under my protection. I can't let you have him," He and Boba Fett stood in a standoff. Neither man backed down. It was as they were staring one another down that 1D fired a stun net at Dreykov. The man couldn't escape, and Taskmaster couldn't save him without getting blasted.
Taskmaster sighed, "Not bad." As he spoke he threw a smoke grenade down and ran to collect Dreykov. Boba Fett wasn't affected by the smoke grenade and shot Taskmaster in the back. He crashed into the floor and looked dead.
Without warning, Taskmaster slapped something on the ground and a laser burned a hole through the ground by making a circle. The floor Dreykov and Taskmaster were lying on fell away.
Boba Fett ran to the edge of the circle and fired a few shots down. He jumped to follow them. Natalie had 1D reattache to her and followed.
"He can't escape or all of this was for nothing," Natalie screamed over comms.
"Don't worry," Bobba Fett responded. They reunited with Taskmaster and Dreykov as Taskmaster threw the unconscious Russian into a tube. Natalie used her HUD to follow the trajectory and it led to a boat. It was too fast, she couldn't catch him.
She went to follow, but Taskmaster placed himself between Boba, Natalie, and the opening of the tube.
"You're not getting past me until he's away," Taskmaster said.
Natalie didn't have any guns, 1D was missing two legs, and her armor was filled with cracks and missing a couple of chunks. The only weapon she had was her stun baton.
"You can't help me with this guy, go take care of your friend," Boba Fett said.
"No, I have to stop Dreykov," Natalie insisted.
"Dreykov isn't going anywhere and you're a burden here, right?" Boba turned his question to Taskmaster.
"She's a fine little fighter, but she's in over her head here," the man in the skull mask agreed.
"Fine, but if he gets away --"
"You'll blame yourself for not listening to the adults," Boba responded. Natalie jerked in surprise but realized he was right.
"Fine, I'll go and take care of troublemaker number 2," she turned on her heel and disappeared.
"How long are we going to stand here?" Boba Fett asked.
"Once I've fulfilled my contract, we'll be done," Taskmaster said.
On the boat, three Widows watched as Dreykov slid from the tube onto the deck. They pulled him away and kicked the exit tube away from the boat.
"Sorry, ladies, I need that guy," Gar flipped onto the deck of the boat and stunned the three fem fatals with his lightsaber.
"This is Jedi 2, target secured," He said over the comms. Natalie heard him over comms as she ran to Sol. She stopped and smiled, "Thanks Troublemaker 1, you came through," She sent through the comms with a happy laugh.
"How Wude," Gar sent back and cuffed the four people on the deck.
"My client reached the boat and met up with his Widows. My job is done," Taskmaster said as he left. Boba Fett nodded at the man.
