25 How did you know?

"What's wrong?" Yun asked with a confused frown when Lijuan refused to get down from the car after he stopped in front of the hotel.

"I can't go in there." Lijuan said without looking at him.

"Why?"

"I kind of have an history with the staff here." She told him as her face heated up in embarrassment.

"Ah! I. See." Yun said feeling a tiny tug on his heart.

"It's a pity our reservation will have to go to waste. Let's look for somewhere else where you don't have any history, shall we?" Yun asked as he drove out of the hotel premises.

"Thank you." She muttered quietly still feeling very much embarrassed.

Yun shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. The drive was rather quiet which was becoming very awkward so he thought of something to say...

"That reminds me, where is your guard?" Yun asked turning to look at her.

Lijuan was a bit thankful that he was saying something. The awkwardness had been making her feel very uncomfortable.

"Jackie lost his mother and had to travel." Lijuan said sadly.

"Jackie?" He wanted to ask why she addressed her bodyguard so casually but decided to just keep shut. It wasn't his business.

"That's rather unfortunate." Yun said and decided he had spoken enough for one drive.

***********

"Vice president Yun was in my house very early this morning." Rong told Madam Wang over the phone.

"Really? That's nice. He came to see you I suppose?" Madam Wang asked curiously making Rong glare at the phone angrily.

She had been wondering whether or not to tell Madam Wang about it and finally decided to do so that afternoon. She believed it was only Madam Wang that would be able to handle things without her even lifting a finger.

"He was here to see Lijuan... he got her flowers and has even taken her out on a date for her birthday."

"What!?"

"I'm worried about him..." Rong added. "What if she does something to ruin his reputation?" She asked quietly.

"Wait a minute..." Madam Wang said to her and tried to really make sense of everything.

"You mean he is out on a date with her?" Madam Wang asked angrily.

"Yes. My younger sister told me he picked her up few minutes ago." Rong confirmed.

"Let me look into it. Thanks for looking out for my Yun... I appreciate it." Madam Wang said before disconnecting the call.

What in heaven's name was wrong with Yun? Yun never lied to her but now because of that Kleptomaniac he was always telling her lies. He quickly dialled the number of Yun's personal assistant

"Where did he go to?" She asked and noticed his reluctance to speak but after her threats about making him lose his job, he finally told her. She listened quietly as he told her the hotel where he had helped Yun make reservations.

"Now, that wasn't so difficult was it?" She asked with a smirk before disconnecting the call.

She was just going to have to crash his date. Maybe that would teach him not to flaunt her orders.

***********

Lijuan sat down opposite Yun at a mini restaurant giving him an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry."

Yun raised his eyes from the little menu he was going through to cock a questioning brow at her even though he could tell what she was apologizing for. "Why?"

They both looked out of place in the restaurant. They stood out so much that those around them kept glancing at them and it was all because she had history with most of the luxury five star hotels around and Yun had not wanted to drive too far away because he had to return to work after their date and he also had to drop her off at home.

"I just feel apologetic towards you. I stole your pen, misplaced it and keep making you do things you don't want to." Lijuan said without looking at his face.

"Don't worry about it. Let's place our orders." Yun suggested before calling the waiter to serve them.

"How did you know today is my birthday?" Lijuan asked the one question which had been on her mind.

"I'm vice president Wang Yun. I can find out whatever I need to know about anyone. I have my means." He said with an air of confidence making her scoff.

Didn't she just apologize to him? Wasn't she supposed to be complaisant and very thankful? Yun wondered.

"So can you tell me my age, who I love most and what I love doing?" Lijuan asked with a derogatory smile waiting for him to flop or admit defeat.

Yun smirked at her question. He hadn't only known her age through the dating site but had also checked online to confirm it was her real birth date in case she had filled in a wrong date. For the person she loved the most, he could guess it was her mother. He had noticed she had a better relationship with her mother than with any other member of her family.

"You just turned 26. You love your mother the most and for the thing you like to do the most... wouldn't that be drawing different designs?" Yun asked smugly and watched her gasp in surprise.

"Awesome! How did you know that? Is it possible that was the reason you went out with Rong the other day? She told you?"Lijuan asked with open curiosity which almost made him laugh.

Was she suggesting he had gone out with Rong just to ask her things about her?

"Didn't I say I have my means? Besides, she didn't tell me that." Yun said as he sipped from his glass of wine and almost cringed at the taste. He was used to really expensive wines and this wasn't really to his taste but he had to manage.

"I have another question." Lijuan said eyeing him as she considered whether or not to ask him.

Yun could tell he wasn't going to like the question. Whenever a person sought for permission to ask a question in settings like these it was usually either a personal or an absurd question.

"So... are you starting to have feelings for me, by Chance?" Lijuan asked suspiciously making Yun choke on his drink. He had known she was going to ask an absurd or personal question but he hadn't been expecting that one.

************

Madam Wang stood in Yun's office window fuming angrily as she waited for him to return. She couldn't believe she had wasted her time going to the restaurant where his personal assistant had booked a reservation for him and he wasn't there. Where did he go to? He didn't by chance take her to an hotel did he? She asked herself as her eyes widened at the thought of the Kleptomaniac becoming pregnant for Yun.

She quickly shook her head to push off the thought. She wasn't going to think about such nonsense. But why wasn't he taking her calls? She asked herself with a frown. Ever since he returned to the country, it was as if she no longer knew him. A lot about him had changed.

At first she had been worried he liked men, but now that she knew he was probably into women with the kind of attention he was giving the thief, she wasn't going to let 'them' happen!

She turned around when the door opened and Yun stepped in. The scowl on his face warned her not to say anything but she disregarded it.

"How could you? How could you lie to me? Didn't you deny having a relationship with her?" Madam Yun yelled at him.

"Please leave my office. I'm not going to discuss personal issues during work hours. I've told you I'm your boss at work... Stop bringing personal issues to the office." Yun said in an annoyed tone as he walked over to sit on his seat. It was obvious he was angry.

Madam Wang glared at him, she opened her mouth to say something but decided otherwise when she saw he already put on his laptop and was working like she wasn't in the office. "We are not done with this discussion. It's not over." She said before walking out angrily.

Once she was out and quickly stood up and faced his window.

"That little....." His hands fisted beside him and he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath to control his temper.
