Chapter 24

Eragon got alone easily with Elladan and Elrohir who were friendly sort.Both of them,Long with Arwen seem to stick to there mother,whom they had missed a lot since her departure to the Undying Land or Aman.

While there Father Elrond because his leadership qualities and foresight,Eragon purposed him to join the Council.Which Elrond agreed and he once again was given the spot in Rivendell.

Arwen was quiet type,she wouldn't talk unless she was interested in the topic.

Elladan after hearing about the Dragon riders was slightly excited asked"So could we become Dragon riders ?"

Eragon nodded and replied"Yes, the dragon would only hatch for the one destined to be its Rider.Basically a Dragon chooses its rider and

if you are chosen by a Dragon,the rider would get signs and visions.Once you touch the dragon egg destined or chosen for you,then a mark will appear on your palm.This creates a bond between the Dragon and the rider making them able to communicate with each other through mind."

Elladan and Elrohir looked at each other with smile and in unison said"That is amazing."

While Arwren did show slight interest asked"I have seen people ride a creature called Griffin and Pegasus."

A white Pegasus emerges from the trees. It

wa beautiful with his huge wings, Arwen was enchanted by it,as Eragon bringing her close to Arwen said"Her name is Aurora."

Arwen carefully pets her,as Aurora gives neigh.While Eragon seeing Aurora being calm around Arwen asked"Do you want to ride her?"

Arwen shook her head and replied"I don't think,I can."

Eragon smiled and said"Don't worry,I will ride with you "

Arwen was not sure,but hesitantly nodded,Eragon helped her get on the horse,while he climbed on behind her.

As the Aurora gallops forward,Arwen slides scarily back with Eragon making sure she is safe,

giant wings unfold, huge and powerful, and with a WHOOSH! they soar into the air rising higher and higher.Gradually,Arwen loosens his hold on Aurora's neck and losing herself in the joy of flying.

Eragon asked"Amazing isn't it."

Aren't nodded with a WHOOSH! Eragon and Arwen plunge into sky astride

Pegasus, soaring toward forests of Rivendell.

Arwen was smiling at the

sight of her and Aurora shadow racing across the

grass below circling swooping, and then swooping, with heart-stopping

speed, over the Lake,Pegasus hooves tickling

the smooth glass of water as Eragon patting Aurora said"Bring us back down,girl."

As Aurora wheels, beating her way back to the paddock,

galloping to a halt. As Eragon puts his hands to Arwen's waist, swings her off

the Pegaus onto the ground.

Eragon with a smile asked"How was it?"

Arwen was in a daze muttetred"I don't have words to describe it,that was just beautiful."

Eragon nodded and said"If you want,you can join the Valkyrie unit,it is mainly comprised of female fighters with pegasus.Although it is till in the beginning stage."

Arwen was now really interested,while Eragon had talked about this with others.There is already a unit with Griffin riders,but now with number of Pegasus being breed it won't be long before a unit with them will be built.
